Horrendous experience. Cannot recommend Chancellors Basingstoke less - avoid! Estate agent left my property unlocked after viewings, misinformed buyers on key selling points, and the list goes on. Absolute shambles from start to finish - made an already stressful process much worse. Staff turnover is high and unsurprisingly so. Staff rude and, on the whole, very unprofessional. Edit: I contacted the Directors prior to posting this and got a measly reply.

Georgina works so hard and has been such a professional. She took time out of evenings and weekends to conduct viewings, she was always so cheerful and helpful and she kept my stress levels to a minimum by always being calm and reassuring. Thanks to Georgina and the rest of the Chancellors team we managed to get to completion in 5 WEEKS! Record time. The whole process has been smooth and easy which is unheard of for a house sale process. Thank you very much Georgina. I will definitely recommend Chancellors to friends/ family.

They need to make sure that the house is empty before they say come and collect the key. Bad service and We’ll never gonna use this agency.

Simon Swanson at Chancellors, Basingstoke was a pleasure to deal with. He was always positive, patient, helpful and friendly and helped my partner and I a lot on our journey to let her house. We had many jobs to overcome at the property and he encouraged and advised us as we got them done. Though not always immediately available on the phone, he ensured he always called me back and kept us in the picture. Fast sale of our property and great communication thoughout process

Terrible service, inadequate staff, lack of professionalism. Had a really bad experience with this estate agent. Was only told on my move-in date that my offer to rent had been withdrawn leaving me homeless due to their head office refusing to transfer my 6-month upfront deposit back. Referencing company has a website filled with Bots so you are left going back and forth trying to resend information you have already sent I would definitely not recommend using chancellors.

Eleyne Paice from Chancelors was friendly, helpful and efficient. Eleyne was pro active in terms of letting us know about our offer with communicating with ourselves and the seller.

It’s been something of an unexpected pleasure to do business with Chancellors in the sale of my home. Everyone knows the reputation of estate agents, but I’m pleased to have made the choice to give my business to Chancellors of Basingstoke. I appreciate the professional, but also human, nature of our interactions. Little things matter a lot. Thank you to all - bar one - staff members with whom I’ve had contact for not presuming it’s ok to automatically address me by my Christian name the first time we speak (I’m very old fashioned in that respect). I also appreciate having had one named point of contact for the sale and now that my home is under offer. Most importantly, I have been kept up to date with information about the marketing if my property and feedback on viewings. I trust that an equally good service will continue as I move towards exchange of contracts.

Awful. Aggressive Sales Director (Martin) and Negotiator (Eleyne) lied to us about the sale status of the property, hurried us out of the viewing, bullied and pressurised us First Time Buyers into signing papers without responding to our questions, and focused on our finances immediately after offer accepted, calling 4 times in a day whilst we were severely sick, bed-ridden with sweats, exhaustion and a temperature. They didn't even attend a second viewing of an unoccupied property that THEY chose the date and time for. Chancellors broke the Estate Agents Code of Conduct several times and we withdrew our offer because of their appalling behaviour, even though we loved the property. Don't use Chancellors in Basingstoke.

I am delighted to say that it has been far easier than expected to sell my parents' house using Chancellors and having Georgina as a representative. She is very efficient, encouraging and always ready to listen to any query I might have and offer constructive advice. She is always available and I have never had to wait for a late reply to any query.

My partner and I were shown around a property recently by Piers in Basingstoke, who was very professional, polite and clear with his information. We are first time renters so we weren’t really sure of the process or questions to be asking and Piers made the experience very relaxed and we left feeling that we were given all the right information to make our decision easier.
