Catalog Choice Works
We moved into a house that was formerly inhabited by hoarders. No joke, I was getting fifteen to twenty catalogs a day for months. Post office delivered them because they were addressed to the recipient or current resident. I had piles of catalogs that went to the recycling every week.
Contacting the company directly (Johnny Was - was a nightmare). meant they now knew my phone and email and new address to sell to other companies.
Catalog Choice was great at reducing the catalogs to maybe once every three months. Donation to the site is optional but well worth it.
Lord only knows why paper catalogs even exist - they can't be cost effective.
Companies like Patagonia make you ask to be on their mailing list because they are ecology minded and don't want to add to the tons of trees that get cut down and the resulting paper catalogs piling up in landfills.
