The Cast Iron Bath Company is a leading supplier of bathroom fixtures and fittings with specific focus on providing products in a large range of finishes and colours. Our Mission
Our purpose is simple - we want to enable our customers to create the bathroom of their dreams in a time-frame that matches their needs.
We maintain a high-availability approach to stock levels in our own product lines. Our own brand taps, showers and concrete basins are available for next day dispatch and baths are often available within 3 days unless custom painting is required, in this case then our lead times are 7 to 10 days. Be prepared to do a lot of extra work to get bath plummed in
I purchased a white cast iron bath. It was supplied with drainage pipes, overflow pipe, U Bend, and various other components. There were no assembly instructions, and when I requested these were not available and I was told to "Employ a plumber". It was supplied with 2 identicale screws - one of which was far too long (Overflow connection) ans had to be cut down. The chrome overflow pipe supplied also had to have both ends shortening. This pipe should have already been cut to length as it can only fit 1 way. Having paid over £1300 I am disappointed with the extra unnecessary work required by the customer which shouldn't need doing.

To help accommodate the wide range of installation setups and bath sizes, the overflow pipe and fixing screws are supplied at a slightly longer length so they can be cut down to suit the specific configuration on site. However, we appreciate that clearer guidance would make this requirement more transparent and the installation process smoother. Your comments have been passed to our product team so we can improve this in the future.

I’m not sure on what grounds you have evidence to say the chip resulted in impact damage. Given it has now sustained four chips it is clearly not that fit for purpose as a bathroom basin.
Given that you have received no other reports of a similar issue for your concrete basin I would be even more concerned that I have received a faulty product, in which case I would expect some form of reimbursement.

High Quality, Great Service
The quality of the items I bought (taps and shower) was incredibly high and the staff were super-responsive both on the phone and via email. I plan to shop with them again.

Great Service
I called the company a couple of times before ordering the shower and both times I found them very helpful, not ordering from them before this reassured me. I received the shower on the day agreed, which was very helpful and it was packaged well.
The shower itself looks beautiful but we’ve not installed it yet.

Minor issue resolved with efficiency and perfection

charging scottish families more money…
Dreadful company that are charging Scottish customers more money for delivery. Called and explained that i’m not in Northern Scotland and asked why i was then being charged an additional £200 for a North of Scotland delivery. Was told nothing could be done as its the rules of their courier. These companies act as if they have no relationship with the courier they choose. It’s a tax on Scottish people. Shameful.
