Lack of communication between Carpetright and floor fitters delaying my fitting date. Was told I would be phoned back on three occasions to put things right that didn’t happen. In the end I was so fed up with it all I cancelled my order.

Customer service and communication is shocking. Having been told my carpet would be at least 11 weeks as it wasn't in stock, imagine my surprise when the fitters turned up at my door unannounced weeks before this. The store manager tells me this date was booked when I ordered the carpet, would it not have helped to tell me this and not say we were at least 11 weeks out. I was also apparently sent a fitting date reminder via email, delivered into my junk email. This company should consider using text messages and phone calls when information changes, apparently they can't, but it didn't stop the salesman in store calling me multiple times to secure the sale. The store manager and central customer service team were unapologetic and wouldn't cover the loss of income we experienced by having to change our plans to accommodate the fitters. They said we should have turned them away, a brilliant way to treat your delivery partners. When I asked what would be done with my feedback, I was told nothing - so what's the point in sharing when customer experience has been rubbish if as a business they are not prepared to listen to the customer and ensure they improve service moving forward. As someone who works in both communication and customer service I was really disappointed in my experience, and will not use this business again. This is the first time I have ever written an online review for any company, that's how bad my experience was!! Store staff need both communication and customer service training!!!

The Sales team were helpful and informative without being pushy and I would recommend them to anyone.

Phone was answered quickly, my correspondent was informative, calm and helpful. He patiently waited when I changed my mind and took a few minutes to find the product I knew I had seen but could not immediately locate. He explained the whole process of how I would pay quite clearly and left me re-assured that all, including delivery in future, would work out well.
