Still awaiting clear response from Carpetright with regards the agreed replacement then decided NO after agreeing verbally and by email also had 2 quotes and the estimator round.
The worst service ever and the customer services department is very poor .
Now gone into administration so not sure what will happen.
Very very bad service never buy from then again or recommend
What didn't go wrong.
The first thing was my quote at the shop was different to the quote the surveyor had when he came to my house. Mine was for a lesser amount. The surveyor then stated that it would cost another £700 pound for another box of laminate, a door tread and added an entrance less than 2ft long as a third room. As I funnily enough did not agree with this new quote he said he would speak to the shop. They then reduced the amount a little and the fitters fee a little. I booked the fitter with the shop 6 weeks in advance as I was getting furniture delivered and wanted to ensure the floor was fitted before then. Day of fitting came and no one arrived. I rang the shop and they said they had not booked the fitter. I told them about the furniture and I had no where to store it if the floor was not down. They came back and said fitter could do one room that afternoon then come back the next day. That was not convenient as I was working. I had to rearrange the other areas for 4 working days later. When the fitting was finally finished the house was a mess. I was then further embarrassed with the fitter as he had not been told of the reduced fee. All the cutting of the laminate was done indoors and the amount of dust everywhere was unbelievable. I wrote a complaint to the customer service address and was informed that they do not issue compensation and it was up to each store to decide if this was relevant. I did get a minimal amount of compensation as it had caused quite a lot of inconvenience. I can understand why the company is closing stores as they really do not seem to care about their customers. I feel that a lot of people would not question the increase in the cost and they get a lot of extra money that way.
Helpful customer service. Placed an order in store very easily. Good all round service.

The payment was also completed on line via a link and the whole process was simple and efficient.

I purchased flooring in Carpetright and received good customer service, my daughter did as well and also received good customer service. Both our orders ran into slight trouble with stock and fitting. But, we were then contacted by Kirsty who was nothing to do with our orders, she wanted us both to complain to Head Office about the Store Manager and the Sales Assistant. Really unprofessional. I just hope nobody falls for this obvious trap to destabilise the Store. The Company should be investigating this and her. Store complaints should go through the Store Manager. She has just jumped into our orders without being previously involved.

Order was placed in-store with one of the advisors who were very helpful and set up the order, managed the finances and set up the delivery and fitting date.
Was told I would receive a phone call the day before the fitting or the morning of to give me an ETA for their arrival.
I called up the day before the fitting and was told on the phone that my order had been delayed and wouldnt be available until the Tuesday the next week. The assisstant on the phone did his best to help and tried twice to pass me to the Store Manager.
The Store Manager refused to take the call twice and kept trying to pass messages back through the assistant. I had to ask to speak to the manager directly before hge would get on the phone.
The store manager DID NOT CARE in the slightest and did not offer an apology or an explenation as to what had happened, he was more annoyed that he had been pulled away from potential customers.
On the phone he said "the best we can do is call you on Tuesday mate". He could not explain why absolutely nobody had contacted me to explain the delay or to warn me off.
I explained that I had just had everything removed from the upstairs of the house and had the previous carpets removed, to this he just chuckled and said I can cancel the order if I want. I cancelled the order and he told id have to come in tomorrow for a refund as their system was down.
Seems like they are more than happy to just take your money and get their commision, but as soon as you sign your agreement they dont care whatsoever, customer service is shocking and the attitude on the phone tells you everything you need to know. They cannot be arsed.
I'd look elsewhere or find a local supplier, its no wonder these stores are always empty.

The gentleman who served us was excellent, he was the same one who we served us 3 years and he looked after us then and now. He was the reason we went back to the store. He told us he was moving to your Warrington branch in next couple of weeks, so there gain is Wirrals loss. Polite knowledgeable and very helpful
