Everything about this company is exemplary...efficient, professional and reasonably priced.The drivers are most impressive..we used drivers from Poland,England, Afghanistan and Turkey..all gentlemen very sensitive to me having limited mobility due to a full knee replacement..thoroughly recommend
I was trying to get a taxi near St Peter’s Church late at night in freezing temperatures. When I asked the driver how much the fare would be, he rudely refused to give me any indication and simply said, “The meter will tell you.” His attitude was dismissive and made me feel uncomfortable, clearly indicating he didn’t want our business. I would expect drivers to treat potential customers with basic courtesy, especially in late-night or cold conditions. As a result, I walked home. This reflects very poorly on the company.
We’ve used Radio Cabs Brighton for six out-of-town journeys in recent weeks. Five of these were excellent – taxis arrived on time, text messages gave clear updates showing the driver’s location, and the drivers were friendly and professional. We felt safe on those trips.
Unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. We had a pre-paid, pre-booked journey from out of town which simply never turned up. When we called, we were given conflicting explanations, first that there had been an accident, then later it transpired that the issue was due to pre-planned road closures/road works. Most importantly, the company failed to notify us of the cancellation. They claimed they had tried to get in touch earlier in the day, but but we received no missed calls or texts.
Because of the lack of communication, we were left stranded and ended up losing £50 (net) that could have been avoided with just a few minutes’ warning. It then took three days to get the pre-payment refunded to the credit card.
Overall, when the service works, it’s excellent. But this failure in reliability and communication left us very hesitant to trust them for important journeys.
Needed ride from hotel to dinner in Brighton, called Brighton Taxis as we had used them before, previously great service. In this instance our driver was reckless in the speed he drove. He did not wait for us to get our seatbelts on and while driving. When he was driving he seemed more interested in staring at women out of the cab than anything else. Very off putting. In the end our return trip was in an Uber. Reference our ride - WHITE AND GREEN OUTLANDER SJ16 RYU
