Very efficient and you're allowed to travel out with liquids up to 2000ml BUT other airports such as Corfu will make you throw away any toileteries, sealed bottles of liquor and water even honey!

Avoid this airport
First and last time using this airport. Got there early to have a bite to eat only 1 place to eat there in the navigator pub. I had burger and fries my partner chicken strips and fries. Food was awful was brought out cold and for 9.60 I would expect more than 3 chicken strips.staff were useless. There was a long que with 5 people behind bar and only one actually serving. It's up there with the worst places I've eaten in
Went to use the gents only to find all urinals were blocked and overflowing with urine, only 1 cubical was in use and floor was flooding with water and urine an absolute disgrace, and again on our return home toilets in arrivals were all blocked. Won't say to much about the staff at the airport bit found a couple really rude and miserable and very unhelpful. Would rather go to Gatwick than use this airport again.

What a joke their car park is 0-30 mins £5 just to collect someone. Arrived today and they have made it so difficult with cones that u have to drive into the car park. Long queue to get in and then it took 25 mins to get back out as their coin machines were not working, so they made u pay at the exit. I always liked Bournemouth airport, but not anymore, money making and greedy !
Another UK rip off
£5 to collect someone from this airport, daylight robbery, never using this airport again

I couldn't check in on line and a wonderful lady Bianca Mihu went out of her way to help me. It saved me £212. She is a credit to her work place. Very kind and patient. Thank you Bianca
Worst airport I’ve ever been to
Worst airport I’ve ever been to. Prices are high as they are in all airports but what you get for it is appalling. We ordered nachos, they arrived 30 minutes later cold, no attempt to melt the cheese, the jalapeños were freezing cold, straight from the fridge. And the nachos were smashed to bits, end of a bag just tipped onto a plate. Appalling. Add to that that the Wi-Fi is so slow you can’t use it and given there’s no phone signal you need it.

Departure lounge Services
Flew from Bournemouth Airport to Tenerife on Tuesday 28th February and returned on 7th March. Such a pleasure to have the opportunity to use our local Airport avoiding all the melee and stress experienced at London and larger airports. The reason for only 3 stars is the scandalously bad food and ridiculous prices at the departure cafe. We foolishly paid £22.10 for a plain bacon sandwich (2 dried up bits of bacon between 2 slices of bloomer bread) a bowl of lumpy porridge with sliced banana which had to be returned for some additional milk (only half eaten as it was still too stodgy) as well as a small pain au raisin and a flat white coffee (pictures of the poor offering available). The person serving in W H Smiths departure area could also do with a customer service course. All other airport services were excellent from check in to security and embarkation as well as passport control and baggage collection on our return.
Excellent!
Brilliant. Everyone is polite, courteous and efficient going & returning. Nice, helpful people seemingly working everywhere here and making for a surprisingly relaxing experience...
Leaving aside the £4 drop of fee (ouch!), we loved it.
With thanks.
The airport is not geared up for flight…
The airport is not geared up for flight delays let alone normal busy times.
In the evenings the shops close and only the restaurant stays open. The restaurant is poor at the best of times. The food that comes out can be created by any of us. No need for a chef ! The food is as basic as you can get. No experience needed for that job.
Our flight was delayed and the restaurant fell apart. They offered less than half of the menu , they ran out of ice. The queue was ridiculous.
The food that came out was so appalling it was not worth eating .
You’re left with a 4 hour delay. Shops closed . Restaurant barely functioning. The airport cannot back up delays.
A badly run airport that calls itself…
A badly run airport that calls itself an international airport because of flights to four or five countries. Like Bristol Airport you can not be dropped off by car as any car entering the airport has to pay just to drop off. The consequence of this is taxis and other cars have to stop on the road and block the main road to drop off. No buses go to this "Mickey Mouse" airport. Avoid!
Wanted to buy a couple of newspapers…
Wanted to buy a couple of newspapers at WHSmiths today.
Informed no delivery.
Reflects the second rate airport services that Bournemouth International provides.
Make sure you get your papers before travelling to the airport.
Absolutely terrible management
Absolutely terrible management! Waited 1h for passport control. No other flights and only 2 people checking passports. Parents were forced to let their baby use potty in the queue.
Restaurant
Love flying from Bournemouth as we only live 20 minutes drive away, so very convenient. Car parking good and not too expensive. Usually no long queues and through check in and security very quickly. Toilets clean. Restaurant and surrounding areas clean. The only problem we find is the food in the restaurant. Not much choice and overpriced. You can't get all day breakfasts, they finish somewhere around 11 am. Being the only restaurant there you can't choose to go somewhere else. Another eatery would be good. Another shop would also help with less expensive snacks and drinks, magazines etc. Also don't like the ordering app! Otherwise always happy to be there going on holiday!
Car Park exit damages car
You have to enter a paid car park to either drop off or pick up passengers. At the car park exit is a very high, speed ramp that is so high your car will ground even if empty, but after collecting 3 adults and their luggage my car grounded so badly that it damaged the exhaust.
Small is sometimes good
Small is sometimes good. When we arrived the cafe just inside was closed. Smiths was open along with the cafe/bar once you get through passport control. Seating can be limited if more than one aircraft departing around same time. We had assistance and for anyone who does need this let me assure you that this airport has one of the best teams we have encountered both here and abroad. Friendly and funny they give you a laugh to the start of your holiday. Please note Christina and Damon are a hoot and do ask Damon to dance for you, this is payback for him finding an excuse not to dance for us lol.
Good airport
Good airport, however very busy! No seats so we along with 20 others sat in the disabled section and we’re asked to leave! Disabled people were sitting in the normal area so we had to sit on the floor?!?! Do Bournemouth Airport really get 30 disabled and don’t they have wheelchairs? If a disabled person should have appeared, I would have given up my seat in an instant. We may not be disabled but my wife had an injured lag and had to sit down, strange.
Room for Improvment
Essentially no facilities for walking into this airport unless one walks in the road to add to the frustration.
Car parking for a fortnight was quoted as £97 in distant park, £125 in the nearest, we avoided that. A son delivered and collected us, £3 for drop off each way. With the people for only one flight at a time the multitude of staff seemed still to be unable to cope. The ramp to the plane was an improvment. Getting out of the carpark was a slow frustrating experience. Drivers ahead to us were waving sheets of paper and apparently talking to somebody on the intercom and taking for ever each time. How would they cope if they had two planes landing close together?
Good normally - not now
Good local airport normally. Today, duty free closed, cafe closed, bar closed. WH Smith the only thing open.
COVID is a convenient excuse but this simply isn’t good enough. My son travelled 1st week of March and found exactly the same - no opportunity to find some bar and cafe staff in the last 3 or 4 weeks?
International airport? I think not!
Little but lovely
Travelled from a lot of different airports in the UK and Bournemouth is best by far. Fifteen minutes from home, get a drink and sit and have a cigarrete before departure, great Ryanair Flight , love it and I use it at least six times a year.
Friendly staff
For a small airport, it has all the facilities that you need and extremely easy to navigate. I was a bit nervous travelling on my own, however every member of staff that I came across were so cheery and helpful, they made me feel at ease.
