I have purchased many Bose products

I have purchased many Bose products, and while some are decent, most are awful. I had just paid to get my Soundbar 300 fixed as the internet kept dropping, Bose charged me £125 for the privilege, and two weeks later announced they are dropping the wi-fi functionality for the product. I have since been trying to get a refund for this, and it has taken 4 months with no success.

I also own the Bose Portable smart speaker, which also has issues staying connected to the internet. Alexa and Google are both super buggy on it and I do not recommend.

While the sound quality of BOSE is great, nothing else works well.

Really disappointed in Bose

Really disappointed in Bose, I have lost my Ultra Earbuds due to them slipping out the silicon case, do not buy the silicon case as it is not fit for purpose, and I found out to my cost losing the expensive earbuds, Bose offered a 10% discount and then 15% which is absolutely shocking considering it is a fault with the poor quality of the silicon case

Truly great products 99% of the time

Firstly, looking through other reviews I can see a number of people having fitment issues. I can *definitely* see how this would be a problem with the huge variety of ear shapes. For me, personally, I've always found one of the mouldings in the box to work for my ears.

Disclaimer: I'm a bit of a Bose fanboy. I value comfort over sound quality and therefore don't care if the bass on product X is more correct than product Y. It matters to me that I get great sound quality on a product I can wear all day.

I use headphones or earphones for 4-12h per day and therefore I do wear them out pretty quickly. I've been through quite a few Bose products (in-ear, over-ear and portable speakers) and with one exception (see below) I would put down all failures to wear-and-tear due to the exceptional burden I place upon them. The ear-pads on the over-ear headphones definitely do wear out, but there are many high quality after-market solutions that are very cost effective.

The sound quality is perfect for me, I listen to a good variety of popular, indie and rock music and I've never had to adjust any of the app equaliser settings to meet my preferences. They just work out of the box.

The Flexlink speaker deserves a special mention here. It'll never substitute for a home audio setup, but for a portable speaker the sound is *epically* good.

The only problem I've had was with a gen 1 Ultra Earbud set. This set started having lots of weird bluetooth issues, where one ear would stop working, then the other, then neither, then they wouldn't pair, then they'd start working again. Factory resetting them *always* worked to make them work again, but within a day the behaviour returned.

Bose warranty replacement process was flawless and I'm listening to the replacements as I type this. The replacements worked perfectly out of the box.

As I say, I'm a bit of a fanboy. Some of the in-ear products might not fit some people, but I would recommend you try. For those having product issues and posting here about customer service issues, I can't say I've had the same experience with the warranty process. For me, it was easy and took about a week from return-replacement. Maybe my product was known to be faulty, hence the easy replacement? Maybe because I bought new from Bose that made them more willing to do the replacement? Don't know, all I can say is that it worked perfectly for me...

I have had to exchange a pair of Bose…

I have had to exchange a pair of Bose Ultra 2 earbuds for the 3rd time in 12 months for the same problem. Neither the case or the buds will charge. I have done a factory reset numerous times but still no joy. Despite spending over 1 hour on a chat with Bose Support and despite explaining that I had done everything that Bose suggested to fix the problem it’s still the same.I would suggest that you avoid this product at all costs .

Purchased Bose QuietComfort Ultra…

Purchased Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) on the 16th December 2025. On the 7th Jan 2026 the charging case charging jack stopped working.

I went through their online customer support portal which was a very painful experience in itself. Up to 14 days to exchange the product. The customer assistant didn’t offer a new charging case as he said they had run out of stock which means that I may not be the only person who experienced problems with the charging case. The returns process is painful as well. On top of this I was disconnected twice when talking to customer assistants.
Overall very disappointing and I will definitely not touch Bose with a barge pole

Found their quietcomfort earbuds to be the most frustrating thing with the in ear detection that auto pauses when removed, but the slightest movement in your ear sets them off and no way to turn it off customer service seem to be clueless on the products, also the apparently unmatched noise cancelling is no where near as good as sonys looked to leave a review of them but turns out you cant leave a bad review because they are screened so only reviews left by approved product testers are published,

Ordered an earbuds from Bose website on…

Ordered an earbuds from Bose website on December 17,2025 and paid extra to have quick delivery, still, the item has just left from their warehouse. So disappointed with the service, I ordered from their website thinking it is safer and quicker but not really. I will never order again from Bose. I am still waiting for my orders to arrived. Angry from this company as they advertise of 2 days delivery! A big lie! A total scam advertisement!

Absolute shambles

Absolute shambles, Ordered of line. Somehow processing they managed to jumble my address up. They use UPS as their courier, who will also be getting a poor review. You ring their help desk, not a U.K. help desk, basically sat down given a script to work off. So after three weeks, Christmas present is not going to arrive.

Absolutely awful customer service, I ordered the ultra 2 earbuds with express delivery, 5 days later the earbuds get declined at customs and returned to Bose.

Bose told me my only option is to buy the item again (so pay for it twice) and then eventually wait for a refund. They may as well not offer customer service at all as this is exactly what I could have done anyway even if I never reached out.

Take your business elsewhere, typical big company shafting their customers, I feel sorry for the customer service rep who has to collect a salary from those con artists.

Bose Ultra Soundbar nightmare

Purchased Ultra soundbar, 700 base module and 700 surround speakers direct from Bose. This system has been problematic from the start! Had to hard wire the bass module that is supposed to be wireless as it kept on ‘popping’. Contacted Bose customer support on numerous occasions with sound delay (6-7 seconds) when switching on and asked to unplug everything to reset the system on numerous occasions which hasn’t solved the problem. Now told that a future software update might resolve the problem. They are aware of these problems with this system and it just is not good enough considering how expensive it is! I’ve had Bose products for over 25 years but this is the worst experience with them. Wish I’d done more research and purchased an alternative brand!

Now almost four months later my Bose Ultra Soundbar made a very loud scratching and today, whilst listening to music, made a loud thumping noise and the soundbar went completely dead!!! I phoned Bose and insisted they replace it with a new one. They wanted to repair it at first but because I’ve had nothing but problems from day one, I insisted they replace it. I don’t know what’s gone wrong at Bose but I now regret buying this soundbar, along with the base module and surround speakers. Now I have to be without the system for up to 15 days until they send a replacement.

Na 5 jaar wegwerpproduct geworden

Wave Music System ontvangen in 2020. Zeer tevreden over geluidskwaliteit. In februari 2026 stopt Bose met het ondersteunen van het besturingssysteem (soundtouch) waardoor deze producten waardeloos worden.

DO NOT PAY FOR EXPRESS DELIVERY

As the title says - DO NOT pay for express delivery. For whatever reason they split my order in two, one arrived on time, the other one (a more expensive) is lost somewhere in transit, with no updates provided, except that it is delayed and been like that for days now. The tech itself is really good, but save urself a headache and just order from Amazon or other reputable retailer. Really disappointed as I paid 9£ for god knows what.

Not another penny, ever

For over twenty years, I never purchased a single audio product that *wasn't* from Bose, such was the quality of your products and customer service.

The quality of the latter has eroded so profoundly (just look at your TrustPilot scores!!) that I cannot abide ever spending another dollar, pound or penny with your company.

My disappointment knows no bounds, and you will never hear from me again.

Avoid Bose headphones like the plague

Avoid Bose headphones like the plague. I recently bought a pair of Bose Ultra QC and am constantly faced with connectivity issues, namely, they either will not connect or connect but there is no sound. For the price you pay, this is absolutely disgraceful.

I am going back to Sony which are far more reliable and the sound is equally as good.

Appaling customer service lately

Appaling customer service lately. Over the past 25 years I have bought several Bose products and you could always just phone up and get through to a human being. I had a Wave Radio CD repaired, a Soundtouch repaired after it would not update the firmware. "Music deserves Bose". Maybe, but does a loyal Bose customer, 2 x S1 Pro, 1 x Soundtouch, 1 x Wave Radio CD, deserve to repeatedly telephone their 0204 571 2383 number, be told I am number 1 in the queue, leave my number for a call back and receive NO CALL BACK for several hours?
All I want is to order a replacement Volume knob for an S1 Pro. Why can't they have a simple online parts ordering system or just simply answer the phone?
In the end, I had to contact them through Facebook Messenger, yes Facebook Messenger! After much exchange of messages I was identified on their system and an order was placed. Advice to Bose: if you have a UK phone number, at least have the courtesy to answer it!

Bose refused to refund earbuds with design flaw

Got Quietcomfort Ultra earbuds from official website. Decided to return for a replacement straight away due to the left earbud always making a hissing and high pitch noise.
However, a simple Google search will tell you it's a widespread problem and in fact a design flaw, and even Bose admitted it's typical of their earbuds.

So decided no longer want a replacement on the same day I returned the earbuds,but Bose said it's too late to ask for a refund. The customer service agent told me once you ask for a replacement, you cannot have a refund? What the heck, Bose hasn't even posted the replacement, so why not just stop there and process a refund. It's a shame that a well known company like Bose has descended to virtually a scam. They took my money, received the returned product and force me have a replacement which I cannot refund anymore.

Maybe work on the quality of your products instead of scamming money from your customers.

Now I will tell everyone run away from Bose and buy from Sony.

Der Klang ist o.k. Die Bedienung über die Bose APP ist unterirdisch. Seit neustem funktioniert die APP nur noch mit Freigabe meiner Daten. Das wars dann für Bose. Das Gerät kommt auf den Schrott. Es wird auch nicht weiterverkauft oder verschenkt um Andere vor diesen Praktiken zu schützen

Earpods quiet comfor break in 2 years !

Got bose earpods gifted for xmas couple of ears ago and was quite good until I tried to remove the rubber tip today and one of the earbuds just broke into two ! Contacted Bose customer service.. product was only manufactured 3 years ago. I had it for 2 years and they cant repair or replace as its out of warranty. Want me to purchase a new one at 15% ‘goodwill’ gesture. How is this anygood if items break in 2 years! Very disappointed with Bose i had asumed their quality would be the best.
