Having worn hearing aids for some 11 years

Having worn hearing aids for some 11 years via an independent company, I first attended Boots, Shirley, Sears Retail Park on 1/11/25 to be tested by Falak Akram. I collected my new aids on 8/11/25. A subsequent check on 29/11/25 caused a little concern as they were not 'settling down' as quickly as Falak felt they should. She recommended a further appointment on 17/1/26 and she undertook a further, detailed check in the light of my comments; a further 'tweak' solved my problem with spectacular results. A further check on 31/1/26 confirmed all was well. I cannot fault Falak's 'care and concern' and 'attention to detail' as I now have the clearest hearing in years. I cannot praise this lovely lady enough.

Four cancelled appointments in a row

Four cancelled appointments in a row. Shocking. Normally cancelled on the day. Unable to offer back to back appointments for my elderly parents as. I quote :' our system won't allow it '. ....How they stay in business I do not know .

Saleena Shah dealt with this and an earlier appointment on February 27th. Saleena presents as a warm and gentle personality with good inter personal skills.She is clearly very competent in her work, dealing with prescription changes etc, explaining as she works. This is really useful as it gives me a better understanding of my hearing deficiency. She also demonstrated her ability to deal with a number of complex, (that is,to me), matters coolly and efficiently within a time constrained appointment.

Excellent Service

Excellent, friendly and professional service from Seleena Shah at Boots Hearingcare at Sears Retail Park.
All questions and queries answered in a friendly understandable manner.
I am really pleased with my new hearing aids and would happily recommend this product and service.

WASN'T free in the end

Went for FREE hearing test , I have got mild hearing loss, I was told to make another appointment to discuss options. Went for 2nd FREE 75mins appointment ( which said on letter I was in there 20mins) which she did a few more tests, still mild hearing loss, I asked if she could email me results, she said it will cost £10 and main office isnt open today. It was then about selling me different packages starting at £600. I stopped her a few times and said about I'll go to my GP, her reply was ooo you want to go NHS! I said thought was what happened. she commented only spec saver and vision express do that, and continued to tell me about their hearing aids. She put the expensive ones in my ears to try which was an improvement. I said I can't afford it. She continued take these leaflets and consider our options.
I felt it was just about selling me their hearing aids and that the cheapest ones you wouldn't get blue tooth. I will be getting intouch with either GP or spec savers.

I was recommended by friends to go to Boots, so glad I did,

I was recommended by friends to go to Boots to talk about private hearing aids. On looking online there was so much information which really helped and also so much choice. My first appointment went fine and after having a hearing test I was able to try some hearing aids and walk around the store. And that’s what convinced me, lots of noise around me and yet I could hear my daughter chatting to me, it made me feel normal again instead of struggling to hear. I’m a bit disappointed I’m having to wait for my new hearing aids but I’m so excited.

My appointment was carried out in a very professional and friendly manner. Information gathered during my appointment was explained in terms easy to understand and allowed me to fully engage during the process. The hearing devices were demonstrated according to my requirement and pricing structure fully explained. Very happy with the outcome and follow up appointment already offered and booked for a review .

Audiologist - Boots Hearing Centre Solihull

I visited the Boots Hearing Centre on The Sears Retail Park on a Sunday. I wanted to ask some questions/maske an appointment. It was difficult working out where to go in store and manage to speak to Audiologist. Eventually got to speak to Audfiologist who was really rude and unhelpful. I realised after talking to her for 10 minutes that I did not want to see her for an assessment. I said thank you and left - she then called out abuse in another
language as I walked down the corridor. Avoid this Audiologist ar Solihull Retail Park who works on a Sunday

Thank you Boots Hearing for your reply! However I did report this very upsetting incident and received no apology or contact from Area Manager
