Hearing joy

My hearing expert J was very helpful lovely and informative he explained everything about my hearing and the results of the tests he was helpful in explaining the hearing aids and showing how to use them and how they work

What a lovely welcoming atmosphere

What a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The premises are bright and airy and there is a great selection of frames. My daughter saw Lara, the optometrist and she explained everything that she was doing as she went through the tests. We were also helped by Jon, Paige and Charlie who were all very helpful and professional. We really felt that we were getting a high quality service. My second visit here and they have impressed both times. Thank you

Be mindful of length of appointment

As this was for my first hearing aids I needed to ask several questions. These were answered carefully and helpfully. I am feeling confident in the choice of aids chosen and am looking forward to trying them. I was told the length of the appointment but it seemed to go quickly.

I had a lovely audiologist

I had a lovely audiologist, Arpitha, who explained everything to me in such detail, after having given me a thorough hearing test, 1hr. 20 mins.

The fitting process was also very detailed. The hearing aids themselves fit beautifully, but I’m still in the learning process, having had them for two days.

A very positive experience!

Chaotic and understaffed.

Having had great service at our new local boots with a complex hearing situation, I was sold a pair of cross hearing aids for around £3k. As my hearing is constantly changing, I was grateful for the follow up appointment a few months later. The new audiologist was not as good as the first. The next appointment was cancelled because there was no audiologist! My hearing was very changed so needed another assessment. I waited a year further and was sent to another town for assessment. Another appointment... Wrong hearing aids ordered. Another 2 month wait. Still no audiologist. Another appointment cancelled. Still waiting for the correct aids and charging a 'discounted' £1600 when I eventually get it.
Boots are chaotic and I would not go there again if I wasn't trapped by the nearly £5k I have already committed.
Recommend stay clear and go to a specialist.

M.ballard.I paid £3300 to have hearing aids…

I paid £3300 to have hearing aids having used hearing aids for a number of years both from nhs and also privately from another company. Those that I purchased from Romsey hearing centre last November are nowhere near as good. They were given in a bag with a small booklet amongst other things telling how to care for them. Neither I or my daughter could work out how to do this from the booklet and only after she managed to find a video on line could we work out how to do this. Having previously asked for an appointment to find out why they were not working and given a date well over two months later I put a review on trustpilot which resulted in Boots getting back to me to say that they had a cancellation for the following Wednesday. I am now told that I cannot return the hearing aids with a refund as they only were eligible for this if returned within 90 days of purchase.
£3300 down the drain I would advise anyone considering going privately to avoid Boots Romsey.

Refund on hearing aids

I made a call to find out about returning my mum's hearing aids as she just can't get on with them at. She spent £3000 on them and unfortunately she is slightly over the date to return them and Boots would not help. I'm very disappointed with the service and my mum has thrown her money down the drain. I most certainly would never recommend going to Boots utterly disgraceful

I had a follow up phone call with customer services today 28/3/24 informing me that there was no way my mum can return her hearing aids that are a few weeks over the return date. The whole service from Boots has been shocking and the Audiologist only spent 15 minutes with my mum fitting hearing aids that are totally unsuitable for her. That means £3000 has gone down the train utterly disgusting.

Excellent healthcare and customer service

The whole process, from hearing test, finding out that I needed hearing aids, and having them fitted and adjusted to my prescription has been carried out in a friendly and very professional way by Somia Farooq.
I always feel that Somia has got plenty of time to see me and appointments feel relaxed and never rushed. Excellent healthcare and customer service.

Amazing technology, helpful people!

I have had Phonak hearing aids for over 4 years and recently have upgraded to the new Phonak Lumity Hearing Aids.
I went to Boots Hearingcare in Romsey, Hampshire where Somia explained how they would help with my recent deteriorating hearing loss. She is very knowledgeable Audiologist, who answered all my questions in s kind, patient way.

The lady I saw was very helpful and kind I am delighted my son made the appointment for me and I will continue
to go there, also when I am due an opticians appointment at another opticians I will come to Boots instead.
