Friendly staff who talked my language without too much confusing jargon. Boots need to look at offering a longer trial period than just half an hour.

I feel very disappointed with the level of service that I received. I have been wearing Phonak hearing aids for years and at my annual review was told that Boots’ software would no longer support my aids, so you agreed to a new pair. The first and second pairs were returned because the sound quality was nowhere near as good as my old Phonak aids. I was finally offered a pair that I was assured were a good match but they are awful, I give up! Do I return these as well and come across as an awkward customer? 😵💫

Lets face it in the real world equipment goes wrong but Nicola at Boots Hereford seems to be able to wave the magic wand. Twice has she looked at the wire on my Phonak hearing aid (this review is about Boots) and each time it is swiftly repaired in minutes. Cheerfully. Knowledgeably. Indeed Nicola says that if it ever goes wrong again I should drop it into the branch and she will have a look at it in her lunch hour. Beyond the call of duty. Illustrates the level of care she gives. Thank you Nicola

Nicki was clear in her explanations of what was available and the options. She allowed good time to consider things and was personable. She clearly was experienced and confident.
Friendly, efficient and comprehensive hearing test. Everything explained as the test went along and the results fully explained in simple to understand terms.
Questions and tests were thorough and done in a friendly and helpful manner. Nicky Williams should be commended for how well the experience was handled.
I made an online service appointment (15 minutes) for 15th June @ 13-30pm, the audiologist rang me to ask what the problem was so I told her that my hearing aid had broken, I was told to pop in today at 12-20pm and she will repair it within 10 minutes. I turned up 10 minutes early and was told to come back at 12-45pm. This I did only to be told that it hadn’t been done yet and to come back at 13-30pm. It’s a scorching hot day, I’m 71 and quite frankly am totally cheesed off with the service and the attitude. If I’d have stuck to the original appointment I would have had my hearing aid repaired there and then. Boots will be quick off the mark trying to sell me another £2000 worth of hearing aids but quite frankly Specsavers is becoming more and more tempting.
