I was given a very thorough hearing test and advised that I needed hearing aids for both ears. The examiner was very patient and advised which type would be the most suitable. I came away with the hearing aids fitted and am very satisfied with them.

I don’t like the hearing aids and am returning them tomorrow with request for a full return on money I have paid you. I was told that I had a 90 day cooling off and I am returning them tomorrow Monday 22nd January 2024. Well within90daysHeather Lumley

Relaxing professional experience but!…
Relaxing professional experience by the audiologist, I was however concerned that on booking my appointment it was stated that hearing aids vary in price from about £400 to over £3000, I was informed that the £400 price was 'per hearing aid' does this mean the highest price is £6000+ for a pair?
I was also concerned that I was not offered anything but the most expensive aids, no mention was made of any cheaper than £3600+ until I raised the matter. This appears to be a very dubious way of working and possibly reportable as sharp practice

The audiologist was prompt and very helpful
The audiologist was prompt, very thorough in his examination, and very helpful. He confirmed what my wife (in particular) and I suspected; that I had a degree of hearing loss, and would likely be having to use some form of hearing aid to correct this. I was surprised to learn from the audiologist that my hearing was very much reduced.
He wasted no time therefore, in explaining the different types of hearing aid to me and placing an order for my own set. Also, he arranged the most suitable time for me to have the aids fitted (which turned out to be just a week later, to my complete surprise)!!
