We booked our honeymoon through Bonamy and they were amazing throughout the entire process. Toby took time to understand exactly what we were looking for and carefully tailored some options for us to review within our budget. They provided us with a detailed itinerary and ensured we had all the information we needed at every step. I've been recommending them to all my friends!

Bonamy organised our honeymoon. Given COVID I think it was re-arranged 3 times over 2 years. Toby and the team never let all extra work and hassle show nor let service fall which must have been so hard.

From the outset of planning the trip they were always full of great ideas that genuinely reflected what we were after, execution was incredibly smooth and comms were always great (quick, helpful responses). And the trip itself was truly exceptional beyond even our most optimistic hopes.

I actually separately looked at booking a canoe trip down the Zambezi during the midst of COVID. Despite it being incredibly difficult the Bonamy team found an amazing trip we could pull off overcoming all the logistical difficulties. Was so pleasantly surprised by this.

I could not recommend Bonamy more highly. And I have recommended them to various people since. Whatever trip you are trying to plan worth speaking to them.

We have just returned from a trip initially organised almost 3 years ago and delayed through covid and all I can say was that the trip was sensational. The lodges and hotel we stayed at were fantastic, transfers worked like clockwork, providing a seamless and worry free holiday of a lifetime. OK not nuff said, to elaborate...

Toby and James know Africa inside out and this is apparent in the carefully crafted itinerary they created for the trip of a lifetime to South Africa that my girlfriend and I enjoyed.

For example, I mentioned my fascination with military history during the initial consultation so they advised 3 nights at Three Tree Hill Lodge for us where I was able to totally nerd out with an guided tour of a pivotal Boer War battle site. My other half would have hated this but no problem because she was able to go horse riding the same morning.

The whole trip was like 4 amazing holidays in one trip - cool city vibes in Cape Town, beautiful wine country in Franschhoek, out in the sticks at Three Tree, then to cap it all, pure indulgent safari luxury at Phinda Rock Lodge.

From start to finish you are well catered for and don't have to think about anything as they send you a personalised booklet with everything you need to know for your trip and are online throughout to assist.

Our recent trip to South Africa was exceptional beyond compare. After two long years of Covid delays, we finally were able to take the trip Toby planned for us. Everything place we stayed was perfect and reflected the preferences our family had relayed. All details were handled seamlessly and without any fuss. We could not have asked for better.

Well this is a bit overdue, sorry Toby and James! I must say I am completely blown away with Bonamy, when my husband and I started planning our honeymoon we wanted to do something different... we decided on Africa, now being in the States and not knowing anything about where to go, what to do, etc it was very daunting. I spoke to all the "big" name travel companies where I felt like I gave a budget and they threw a trip that wasn't of our interest back. I started to narrow down my search to smaller tour companies when I came across Bonamy. I filled out the questionnaire on the website then a few days later was on skype with the most personable character ever, Toby! Toby took the time to talk through our interest, likes and dislikes and came up with multiple detailed itineraries that fit our budget and also hit the length of which we wanted to vacation for (3 weeks) The planning process with simple and FUN... now what if I were to tell you that once you book you don't have to lift a finger when you arrive... swear! From airport pickups, luggage transfers, amazing lodges, amazing guides, hotels - toby and james thought of everything. We went in May/June 2021 so during COVID, we had to take multiple tests (alot) all were planned and arranged making our travel easier. We got upgraded at each place we stayed and got WHOLE lodge to ourselves, pretty amazing. At the end of our trip we were actually lucky enough to spend time with Toby and his wife Olivia and I'm not exaggerating when I say I cried saying goodbye to them. I seriously cannot wait to go back and have recommended them to our families and friends back here in the states. Bonamy is the only way to travel to Africa! We cannot wait to go back and see more amazing wildlife, scenery, etc. but most of all go back and see our new friends!

We contacted Bonamy Travel following a recommendation from a friend and from our first interaction with Toby we knew we had chosen the right travel company. We wanted to mix in the 2021 Lions Tour with an unforgettable holiday and Toby put together an incredible itinerary for us and we really felt that he understood what we wanted to get out of the holiday. He had included lots of personal recommendations and it was clear that he had an incredible knowledge of lots of hidden parts of Africa which would take us off the tourist trail. Sadly we have had to cancel the holiday as we are no longer travelling and Toby and James have been fantastic in organising the cancellation and I know that we would not choose to trust anyone else when we come to rebook the trip!

It is the second time we had the pleasure to plan and book a trip with Toby and James. Back in 2019, Bonamy organised for us what can only be described as an epic journey through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Every day of our trip was planned down to the smallest detail. The organisation was so professional and the experience so vivid that it gave us no option but to visit Africa again for our 2020 trip; this time South Africa and Rwanda.
The fact that Bonamy managed to arrange such a fantastic overall experience for us during such difficult and uncertain times, is testament to their professional abilities and can-do attitude. Both trips were tailor-made to our style and preferences and we now feel we have a travel agent that knows us beyond the professional relationship and who we trust 101% to plan our holidays in Africa with almost zero intervention from our side! My husband and I spent the most magical two weeks in Mauritius and Madagascar. I had initially done a lot of research and came to James and Toby with a rather robust itinerary suggestion. I had assumed they would make a few tweaks, perhaps source a few discounts, and take all the booking admin off my hands. In reality the service was so much move.

It began with them building a detailed picture of what was important to us (uniqueness, sustainability/eco tourism and being far away from children high on the list). Their expertise and guidance was invaluable and meant that they completely re-engineered the itinerary which took us way off the beaten track without compromising on luxury. We ended up with the most incredibly special and authentic experience. The wildlife in Madagascar is exceptional, but being able to immerse yourself in it without any fellow tourist is mind-blowing. I will never forget the early morning boat trip where we were surrounded by a pod of Humpback whales and dolphins whilst we caught tuna for lunch. There was not a single other boat in view.

Every part of our trip was flawless with every possible detail catered for. We would not have changed a thing, and the memories of the trip will stay with us forever. I simply cannot recommend Bonamy enough, look no further.

Toby and James nailed the brief for a family holiday of 10 people as catering to everyone's needs is no easy task. From receiving the beautiful family brochure to the regular contact from both Toby and James to check in, we knew it was going to be something extremely special.
They put together an itinerary that showcased a variety of different areas in South Africa and gave us a really authentic experience. We were lucky enough to have Toby as a guide whilst at Phinda Mountain Lodge which was a real highlight - his knowledge and passion for the animals and the industry shone through and we not only had a magical time but learnt so much along the way.
Being away with the whole family for that period of time was something that I will treasure forever and it was all made possible by Bonamy Travel.

Toby and James' expertise and advice were invaluable as they created our bespoke 2 week honeymoon to Tanzania and Pemba. It can be a daunting process arranging a safari but our experience with Bonamy, from start to finish, was brilliant. Toby's passion for and knowledge of Africa, honed after a number of years of guiding himself, were clear to see. This fed into his suggested itineraries, all of which were on budget. The beauty of booking through a bespoke travel company like Bonamy is that Toby was able to tweak our itinerary until it was just right for us.

The team really came to the fore when a lodge we were due to stay at flooded just prior to our departure from the UK. Toby contacted us immediately, not just to inform us, but to reassure us that he had made alternative accommodation arrangements. We were delighted that our new lodge, Ikuka Ruaha, was truly special. The managers, staff, accommodation, food and safari experience were all impeccable.

While we were in Tanzania, transfers and travel were always effortless. Toby and James were easily contactable and very responsive if needed. They even managed to reunite me with a camera charger that I left in our first hotel on the other side of the country. (Thanks again)! The variation in landscape, plants and animals between Ruaha and our second lodge at Sand Rivers Selous was amazing. In Selous, we were lucky enough to be able to go on both a boat safari and walking safari which will live long in the memory. Our final stop at Fundu Lagoon on Pemba was the perfect way to relax and close out the perfect honeymoon.

In short, we simply could not recommend Bonamy enough and will be using Toby and James for our next trip.

Just had a great 12 day trip to SAF. Driving and visiting several different places gave us a great opportunity to see a variety of settings and cultural experiences. Phinda was a highlight and having Toby's experience as a guide to help us was fantastic. The team at Bonamy put together a great schedule, including lots of great info and arranged all the components of the trip, which made it easy to get around and see many parts of SAF. Definitely recommend them if you are planning a trip there. They know the area and tailored the trip to our needs. Well done :)

We recently went on a safari at Phinda Mountain Lodge organised by Toby. From the onset Toby could not have been more helpful answering our multiple questions and helping us to decide on which lodge to choose. His enthusiasm was infectious and his depth of knowledge was obvious. When we got our bespoke ‘Williams Family’ brochure we knew we were in for a treat and the holiday did not disappoint. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we have had as a family and I can’t thank Toby and Bonamy Travel enough. Awesome service, awesome experience.

Toby and James were fantastic from start to finish. They were enthusiastic and tailored with their suggestions for our trip, presenting various options to work to our schedule and budget, and once we booked we were sent beautifully presented itineraries and notebooks to whip up our anticipation and excitement! The transfers that they organised worked extremely well (special thanks to the lovely Thoko Jili), and the two places we stayed at - Phinda and Fugitive's Drift - were superb and exactly to our taste. Toby was very easy to contact and quick to respond throughout our trip, and we felt well-supported during the entire process.
