I visited this store today looking for walking/mountaineering boots, and was served by Daniel K, attentive service and very informative, very kind and helpful service.

These folks are very helpful and happy to sort out stuff online or instore. Some great bargains.

Great selection of camping/walking gear and really helpful, knowledgeable staff. Dan, on the top sales floor, was especially helpful.

I was looking for a waterproof lightweight coat. The salesman Dan PM,( there are 3 Dan's) patiently explained the pros and cons off several items.we settled on am OEX jacket. I have been to quite a few stores in Glasgow, I was very impressed with this lad and his knowledge. I would definitely be back. When home I checked the reviews for this jacket. I could have bought it for £30 cheaper,but that's the experience of going into a shop,trying on the garment with staff that have knowledge. Thanks.

Big thanks to Daniel on the top floor for his help today, from making sure the items I bought were just what I was looking for, to giving me clear directions to loading bay, and loading my bulky items into my car. Really pleasant and knowledgeable. A credit to your team. This level of service encourages customers to return.

Great service from the staff at Blacks. Did everything to make buying the correct size pair of shorts easy.
And when they didn't have a top I was after in my size they got in touch with their sister store, Millets and asked the staff there to reserve one for me to collect at my convenience. Very friendly too. Thanks to Holly.

Dan was incredibly warm and encouraging. We tried on many pairs of shoes and may have tired him out a bit, but he never stopped smiling. His extensive knowledge about hiking shoes was extremely helpful to us. Additionally, he guided us well regarding the differences between various brands and products. Went in looking for a multi tool for my work and for hiking, however due to being around the city centre often, I was apprehensive about having one with a knife. Top floor darrel (I was told there’s a bottom floor one as well) was very helpful explaining the laws around carrying for work, and what counts as a reasonable justification for carrying, and had even talked to police previously about laws with them. All this info was very good and helped me make my purchase
