Bindia er en lokal kæde af Indiske Take Away & Dine-Ins i København siden 2003. Amer Sulman er grundlæggeren af og hovedkokken for Bindia. Hos Bindia laver vi certificeret økologisk og sund indisk mad (30-60%) - også vegansk - uden tilsætningsstoffer og konserveringsmidler. Vi bruger ikke forarbejdet mad eller frituresteger og vi tilsætter ikke hverken animalsk fedt eller farvestoffer. Vi har haft Det Økologiske Spisemærke siden 2015, hvor vi som de første i Skandinavien inden for det indiske køkken satte fokus på økologien. Og vi har en klar målsætning om forsat at blive endnu grønnere. Vores mad er inspireret af Ayurvediske opskrifter og Bindia tilbyder formentlig de største portionstørrelser af retter blandt al indisk take away. I Ayurveda fungerer mad nemlig som forebyggende medicin og som den primære drivkraft bag at holde din krop sund og dit immunforsvar stærkt. Bindia betragtes som et af de bedste indiske take-away og dine-in steder – så meget at vi nu har åbnet hele 6 steder i København. Vi har nærmest intet madspild – faktisk har vi så lidt at bevægelsen mod madspild, Too Good To Go fandt det unødvendigt at inkludere os på deres app og platform, selvom vi allerede havde underskrevet en kontrakt om samarbejde. De gode, gammeldags metoder i det indiske køkken giver nemlig maden en naturlig og bæredygtig holdbarhed. Desuden har vi alle vores madvarer på køl, og den endelige ret laves først, når du bestiller den - og vi bruger aldrig mere, end det du får. Alt fra vores bæreposer, menukort og take-away-skåle er fremstillet af 100% genanvendt, ubleget papir. Både vores poser og menukort kan sorteres som papir - men vi anbefaler at man genanvender posen så meget som muligt først. For at skålene skal kunne tåle den varme, flydende mad, er en tynd plast-coating på indersiden nødvendig. Derfor skal skåle og tilhørende låg sorteres som almindeligt husholdningsaffald. Vi støtter organisationen Plastic Change, fordi vi også vil være med til at gøre en aktiv forskel for miljøet. Al vores strøm kommer fra vedvarende energikilder certificeret af vores el-leverandør Natur Energi.

We used to like the food here.

We used to like the food here.
However, This time was probably the last time we order food from here. We had lamb tikka masala and chicken tikka masala and garlic naan on saturday afternoon. we both got food poisoning with stomach aches and diarrhea all night. it's monday today and my stomach is still not completely over it yet.

I’ve spoken with our production team and chef at Elmegade, and also checked with other customers who received the same dishes - all of whom were satisfied. So, this seems to be an isolated case.

Food Safety & Preparation:
As an Engros-certified, organic Indian production facility with both B2B and B2C approvals we follow strict health authority (Fødevarestyrelsen) regulations. All our meat and curries are prepared fresh, blast-chilled, and transported with an unbroken cold chain. We also track batch numbers and conduct regular microbiology tests. All these procedures are closely monitored and audited by Fødevarestyrelsen. You're welcome to visit our kitchens anytime to see this firsthand.

In my 3 years at Bindia, food-related illness reports have been extremely rare, but we understand this was unpleasant for you. You're our very regular customer & it's very important for me that you have trust on us. But I do understand that when situation like this happens, it's natural to think that problem could have come from the food.

Even though we couldn’t find any fault on our side, your discomfort matters. As an apology a giftcard (worth full order amount) has been sent to you via email.

I hope an isolated experience, regardless of its gravity will not deter you from trying us again. :)

Det var en dejlig oplevelse at få mad fra B'India. Det var første gang. Jeg fik en Madras med paneer. Den smagte dejligt og var lige præcis så stærk, som man kan forvente af en ret med 2 chilier. Lidt stærk, men ingen røg ud af ørerne! Til det fik jeg ris og naan, begge dele fine, og en mango lassi, der smagte dejligt.
Betjeningen i Elmegade var venlig og imødekommende.

Jeg har først for nylig fundet ud af, at B'India er økologisk og bæredygtigt sindede. Det betyder meget for mig.

Utrolig lækker og god mad

Virkelig godt koncept. Har prøvet afdelingen i Søborg og Amager og det var en fornøjelse. Super service og total lækker mad. Er fast kunde på Nørrebro nu.

A RIP off!

The prices in this place have jumped by 35% over the past 12 months. Price gouging? I’d say so.

On top of that the man servingme for takeaway refused to delete the 4kr fee for a bag despite me bringing my own bag. I told him about the reasoning behind the law regarding minimising waste yet he was instructed to tell me it’s a compulsory charge. After I insisted he refunded me my money.

It is a bit disappointing for us to see that we got a low rating.

**"35% over the past 12 months"?**
Unfortunately, This is >NOT TRUE<. We raised our prices back in January 2023 by approximately 10%.

Indian kitchen is very labour intensive & there are no ready-mades available, unlike other big cuisines. That makes us prepare from top to tow & being organic, we truly put our sweat and blood in procuring the high standard raw material.

Therefore, I respectfully disagree that we are expensive. An organic dinner (Curry & Rice) costs only 150 kr. Just the other day, I was in Espresso House, ordered a sandwich with a piece of cake and coffee, and my bill was nearly the same.

Many of our customers do know what Bindia stands for:
- Always certified organic (30-60%)
- No processed foods
- Everything is made from scratch
- Nothing is deep-fried
- No animal fat added
- No additives
- No preservatives
- No food coloring
- Environment-friendly packaging
- Next to “zero” food wastage
- We only use windmill energy
- Probably the healthiest choice among all Indians in Denmark.

**Compulsory Charge for Bags?**
You were *NOT CHARGED* for the bag, 4kr was given back to you by my colleague.
Unfortunately, the bag is auto-added to the order by our POS system since 99% of our customers choose our customized takeaway bags. (liquidy food is more safe in our customized bag).

I do apologize that he got confused about how to delete it from the POS system It made you feel he is not service-minded.

Takeaway experience

Takeaway experience: Tasteless Dahl which was cold. Garlic nan bread did not taste of garlic, really had no taste at all and was cold and hard.

-Tasteless Dal?-
I sincerely apologize if our Dal didn't live up to your expectations.

In fact, Dal is a universe in itself. There are many varieties of Dal, from which 50+ I can count on my fingers right now. Similarly, there are several methods/recipes for making/preparing these varieties too. There are many restaurants in India that only sell Dal exclusively. :)

The flavour of Dal can vary significantly based on how much it is tempered with spices. We aim to strike a balance with our version, as not everyone prefers it heavily spiced.

Coming to extra taste, since our menu is extensive, we do have strong and flavoursome options as well. May I recommend you try some of the options that have a lot more kick? For example, Madras, Jeera Masala curry & Coconut Tamarind Curry.

-Tasteless Garlic Nan?-
I apologize if the Garlic Nan didn't match your expectations.

Extra garlic doesn't cost us much but with the same philosophy as I mentioned about Dal we have kept it moderate.

-Cold Food?-
It's unfortunate that Wolt delivered your order late & ruined your meal.

From my side upon checking our system's data I can see that we prepared the order as scheduled i.e. 19:43 however, unfortunately, Wolt's courier picked up the order at 19:58 (15 mins late) & we have no clue when was it delivered to your doorstep.

I wish Wolt had collected & delivered the order to you in time but unfortunately, that's out of Bindia's domain since we're just a food-making organ in your purchase.

Since your order was made and paid at Wolt.dk not at Bindia.dk & Wolt forbids us from dealing directly with their customers & doesn’t even share customer details in the original order; we have no influence on their couriers.

Skuffende - trods bestillingen x-hot and super-hot er maden jævn, desværre. Prisen på 209,- incl ris/raita er jo ikke i den billige ende, havde derfor højere forventninger.

-Ordered x-hot but still even? -
I would like to apologize that the spiciness level didn’t meet your expectations

When a dish is marked with “X-hot” chefs add two spoon of ‘chilli mix’, & I can confirm that the chef added it to your dish.

We use organic chillis and organic ingredients tend to vary in taste. For example, two organic oranges from different trees and different areas would not have the same sweetness and sourness levels. In this case, Chili's strength may have varied to some extent.

-Expensive?-
For me it is fair that an Organic meal (Lamb curry costs 140 kr. & Rice 30kr.) when a coffee cup costs 50 kr. & a beer 60 kr.

Fantastic Indian Food Delivery

I recently ordered delivery from Bindia and was thoroughly impressed. The food arrived quickly and was still steaming hot. The Tikka Masala was bursting with flavor, and the quality of the rice was excellent! The portions were ample, and the packaging was secure, preventing any spills. Bindia has definitely become my top choice for Indian cuisine!

Bindia Elmegade skuffer aldrig. Har brugt den igennem flere år, og maden er altid vildt velsmagende. Super sød og god service. Sidst jeg bestille online havde jeg glemt at bestille en mango lassi med i leveringen. Ringede derned og fandt ud af jeg skulle lave ny online bestilling (for at betale for den ) Men droppede det så.
Da maden ankom havde søde medarbejder alligevel kommet en mango lassi i posen 🫶. Ret sødt.
