When I bought a car from them, they promised they would send me the actual, physical service history which was held at their head office (this promise was written on the invoice). They told me it had been sent on more than one occasion but I never received it. After several calls with the complaints department, I found out that they did not have the actual service history. I had been misled. The company denied any responsibility. I have now raised my complaint with the Motor Ombudsman who are investigating.
Do not buy your car from here. We have had so many issues with the sales and insurance team.
First we were told we would have 5 days insurance so not to worry about rushing to get insurance (we bought on the Sunday and told we had to collect the car the following Wednesday). We go to pick up the car and are told we have to pay extra for the 5 days insurance.
We were heavily persuaded to take out the tyre and alloy insurance for £800. Fast forward to a year later and two tyres need replacing, treads are worn but still in legal limit. They are refusing to replace the tyres. Refusing to refund the insurance. Policy says “the plan is intended to deal with expected effects of regular motoring”. What is this insurance for? I was clearly miss sold and they are refusing to refund me or change the tyres.
Overall experience 4/10. Great car but so many problems to get to that end goal. Hard selling, forcing policies, hard hard work to get a refund for a car transfer that arrived faulty!😅 and then finally they still owe me for the V62 cost although I handed in the receipt to them by hand. I will never buy a car again from here.
I don't even know where to begin, I reserved a car, booked my appointment and even had a pre call to explain the process. Got there for my appointment and it was like they had no idea what was going on, took them over 40 mins to even find the car I had resersed and needed to clean it (I assumed it would be out ready for my test drive) anyway on the test drive the number plate fell off and was told by the manager Helen it had been ordered and will be at my address in 3 days time, well it hadn't even been ordered because I'm still chasing them to order it over 2 weeks later! And no one at the branch or head office can actually give me a straight answer (I've been calling every other day) back to my appointment the whole thing was a ridiculous process. I arrived at 10am knowing what car I wanted, insurance ready to go and payment ready, yet still left at 3.30pm because the way that company is run makes no sense! So much waiting around for no apparent reason. I should have seen the red flags from the number plate falling off and just drive the hour and a half home without the car. They said I can get my own number plate and they will reimburse me but I do not trust a word that comes out of their mouth. I honestly would avoid it altogether it just isn't worth the stress, the day was not enjoyable hanging around for 5 hours being passed around when I have booked an appointment. It's embarrassing really and I'm embarrassed to even tell people that I've fallen for the lies.

Great salespeople and employees working there. All really knowledgable about what they are doing and extremely friendly. A little bit of a wait before I was served but overall very happy with the service I received!

I recently had an issue with my Citroen DS3 Crossback and wanted to share my experience with Big Motoring World, as it was genuinely a positive one.
As soon as I raised the issue, the team responded quickly and quickly looked into the matter. What impressed me most was their commitment to putting things right. They covered the full cost of the repairs, which came to nearly £800, and also paid for the diagnostic work carried out by the main dealership, which certainly wasn't cheap. Knowing that I wasn't being left to deal with these costs on my own took a huge weight off my shoulders and showed that they stand behind the vehicles they sell.
I would especially like to thank Olivia Sage, who was fantastic throughout the entire process. Olivia took ownership of the issue from the outset, and kept me updated regularly
I know some of the reviews here are mixed, but I can only speak from my own experience, and honestly, I can't fault the way my case was handled. If there's one piece of advice I'd give anyone buying a used car from any dealership, it's to seriously consider taking out the extended warranty. Issues can arise with any used vehicle and having that cover in place could save you from significant unexpected costs down the line.
It's becoming increasingly rare to find businesses that respond quickly when problems occur and then follow through on their commitments, but that's exactly what Big Motoring World did. Thanks again to Olivia and the wider team for their support and for delivering excellent customer service when it mattered most.

Went to buy a car at Big Motoring World - Wimbledon, and the salesman was not taking no for an answer when trying to to sell all the add ons.
After the salesman turned turned directly to me and blanked my partner to try sell the add ons, we decided to walk out.

I purchased a Nissan Ariya from Big Motoring World and have been very disappointed with the after-sales service.
During the sales process, I was told the vehicle had the manufacturer's warranty. After the purchase, I discovered this was not the case. In their final complaint response, Big Motoring World apologised for the incorrect information I was given but refused to offer any further assistance.
I also reported an alarm issue shortly after taking delivery and asked about the vehicle's service history. Rather than resolving my concerns, I was advised to arrange my own diagnostic inspection if I wanted to pursue the matter further.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Big Motoring World. I would advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from them to verify the manufacturer's warranty and service history independently before completing the purchase.
Update:
Big Motoring World’s public response does not address the key issue that they admitted in their own final complaint response that I had been given incorrect information regarding the manufacturer’s warranty. Instead, they simply state that only the manufacturer can confirm warranty status, which is not the issue I raised.
They also did not address why I was told to arrange and pay for my own diagnostic inspection regarding the alarm issue shortly after delivery.

Very disappointing experience at the Wimbledon branch.
My partner and I visited twice over two consecutive days. On the first day, after being seated, we were left waiting for around 30 minutes without any further assistance, so we eventually left.
We decided to give the branch another chance the following day because we genuinely wanted to buy the car. We had originally booked a 7:00 pm appointment but called ahead to move it to 5:30 pm. During that call, we specifically asked whether we would be able to drive the car away that evening if we decided to purchase it, and we were told that we could.
During our visit, we spent nearly two hours going through the purchase process. We were also subjected to a very high-pressure sales pitch for warranties and additional products. We understand that these products are offered, but the approach felt excessive and made us seriously consider walking away.
At around 7:00 pm, after we had completed almost everything, we were finally told that the mechanics had already finished for the day and that it would not be possible to collect the vehicle. Had we been told this when we arrived—or even during the phone call when we specifically asked—we could have made an informed decision instead of spending two hours at the dealership under the impression that we would be driving the car home.
The issue wasn't simply that we couldn't collect the car. It was the poor communication, inconsistent information, and overall customer experience across two visits that ultimately led us to cancel the purchase altogether.
A large dealership should be able to provide a much better-organised and more transparent buying experience.

Had to fill in a form with our details even before looking outside (never did that with Sytner) so they had our details before anything. Needless to say walked straight back out. Avoid. If I want more info on a car I would have come to a sales person.
Avoid if you can. Staff arrogant when refused to fill form and walked out.
