Decent for what it is
Pros
- Fairly decent gym with a range of equipment
- Reasonably sized
- Easy to get to
- Affordable price
Cons
- Not 24/7 and very short hours on a Sunday
- When first joining, struggled to enter the gym as QR code wasn't working. Pressed the help button. No member of staff appeared and had to keep doing this for a while (5-10mins) before being let in (still no member of staff). So I don't see why it isnt 24/7...
- Can't see how many people are at the gym ahead of going (many other gyms offer this)
- Lack of personal trainers available at this site.
- A non-refundable 20p for lockers, opposed to a refundable 20p or allowing locks.

New gym but with some flaws.
Gym with new equipment but they are not cleaned regularly, I always find a lot of dust even if I go in the morning. Instructors never seen, not even for a greeting. Not even on the first day I started.

Good gym
The staff and members at this gym are terrific, there is a good variety of machines. My only criticism is some times it takes ages to get a machine repaired. Overall a good gym to attend

I’ve been using Better gym Bexleyheath for over a decade despite having closer gyms to me. This is simply because the community spirit is totally unmatched by anyone else and the staff are always friendly and supportive.

Good range of equipment
Good range of equipment, in good condition. Also clean showers & changing rooms.Friendly & helpful staff, willing to show any unfamiliar equipment (and also willing to help complete the membership application for people like me who are not good with phone apps).

Great place, great value, no issues at all
Prior to joining I went to the Bexleyheath Gym for a look around, the guy was flexible and really helpful.
I found the website really easy to navigate, and at a great price to join, I have been having external PT sessions for the last few months and was a bit conscious of joining a gym on my own at 51. I really like the place, 4 zones with plenty of equipment even at busier times, no hassles, pretty mixed atmosphere of capabilities of users. I have tended to use the weight machines and never had to wait because of the choices available. Overall not a single complaint especially at the great price.

Love the facilities they have here especially after the refurb last year, the new functional area frame is my personal favourite!

Really enjoy going to this gym, it’s always very clean and staff are lovely and very helpful. Gym membership prices are rising everywhere but Better Gym still remains competitive.

I had had a problem with my membership…
I had had a problem with my membership being duplicated god knows why, stayed there for an hour having the system rejecting my password even though I had already paid for my membership. Lots of people passed by me, stared at me struggling on my first time there, no one good soul or professional offered help. Absolutely disgraceful people, despicable behaviour.

It appears that when you attempted to sign up, you created 3 different accounts which is why you experienced difficulty.
I have deleted the additional accounts, so you shouldn't have any issues going forward.
We would recommend that if you are having trouble, to report to a member of the concierge team so they can assist you.

One of the staff members is just…
One of the staff members is just completely rude for no reason as I go here with my little brother who is 15 and we got there 5 minutes late and he sent us away.He also told us he can’t use the big weights because he’s 15 which is fine if that’s the rules but we see him talking to a bunch of under 16s in the same room we was not to go into.

I am very sorry to hear that a member of staff at the Bexleyheath Gym is rude to you when you attend with your little brother. We pride ourselves on our Customer Service excellence so we are disappointed to hear that this is not the service you have received so far. Please speak to the Duty Manager at the centre to get clarification on the areas you are able to access when you attend with your brother who is a Junior.
