Bensons For Beds - Oldham Recensioni 

The store is at a convenient location and there was lots of choice. The sales assistant was knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. We picked our mattress and were given advice re payment plans available. We paid and arranged delivery.
The delivery was very well organised, Bensons delivery people kept us informed in the fortnight preceding delivery and on the day we were able to track our delivery. They phoned us when we were the next delivery. The delivery people were incredibly efficient and very quickly our mattress was installed. Very happy with the whole process.

Shannon was attentive whilst not invasive. Listened to what we did and didn’t want - giving us time to ‘try for ourselves’.

Having previously purchased a long-lasting bed from Dreams assumed we’d be repeating that, though tried Bensons first, on the same retail estate whilst out shopping. How glad we went to Bensons.

Good choice of mattresses in terms of size, make-up and price-point in a clean, well laid-out store (Oldham/Elk Mill). Tried several before returning to our favourite.

One doesn’t purchase a mattress frequently so it needs to ‘feel right’. Likewise a sizeable commitment, so a bit of due diligence is necessary too.

(Made an excuse to checkout Dreams too - assuming we’d be looking to buy ‘decided on’/similar speck mattress there. More staff than customers - smaller store. Opening line from first member of staff “if you tell us what you want you won’t need to press all the mattresses”. This obviously coloured our experience undermining the prior recall of last Dreams purchase. Disappointed with range - specific Dreams one I had researched on their website not available. Sale discount only on full bed not just a mattress).

Suffice to say we left within 5 minutes and hop-footed it back to Bensons. Over £2k spend (after 25% off) and interest free credit to boot. Win:Win. I know where we’ll be going first next time we need a new mattress!

(My only disappointment was the £49 fee to deliver - alas see this more and more now across all retailers. Just lose it in the overall purchase cost please. Amazon manage it if you spend £35)!

Emma helped me and my husband to choose a new mattress and bed frame last week. We weren't sure what type to go for, emma was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us decide with ease on a style that suited us best, and it will be delivered before Christmas. Many thanks to Emma!

Right from the initial meet in store on the day i went to look for a single mattress for an adult,everything ran smoothly. I told them what i was looking for and my budget. No extra pressure to spend more. Ordered, payed and given delivery date. Delivered on agreed date and on time. I tracked the delivery on the date it was due. Excellent all round service.

The salesman Owen was fantastic, we visited the store 3 times before we made a decision/purchase, on all 3 visits Owen was patient, knowledgeable and above all a really nice guy , as I work in retail myself I understand that people buy from people and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Owen again.

When approached by an advisor was not pushed or coehursed into buying. Advisor was very helpful and knowledgeable

Not a great customer service experience at all. Firstly told I need to arrange my own delivery as the delivery driver for the store was on holiday. Then had to arrange a pay hourly van to collect my items and was advised by the store 2 days prior that my order was ready to collect. Get to the shop and my order was not ready and added an extra hour onto my van hire due to the wait times to prepare my items. When at the store, I was spoken to with utter disrespect from the staff. Granted he did apologise for his behaviour and explained that he had been "left alone" to do everything because his manager had "disappeared" however I had to explain to the staff member that this is not his customers fault and he should not have taken it out on the customer. I would never, ever, recommend the Oldham store. The staff are disgraceful and the experience was horrific.

Visited the store at Elk Mill. The young lady was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Different options were explained to us and we were able to browse freely once we knew what we were looking for.
Would recommend.

Browsed the showroom, chose my mattress then completed my purchase,,in and out just the type of hassle free shopping I like .
One thing I will add though in retrospect , £50 delivery for a mattress that you’ve just spent hundreds on ,is I believe excessive . That’s why I elected to get it home myself when it arrives , hope it’s not raining…

Delivery was on time. Delivery men Chris and Ryan were very polite. They put shoe covers on to protect our carpets.

Great customer services

Ours customer service agent Shannon was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, helping us to select the best bed frame for us given our quite selective requirements. Also we felt no pressure to purchase and indeed didn’t until our second visit and felt just as welcome that time too.

The removal of the old mattress and delivery of the new one was very smooth and efficient

This is the second time I’ve been in in the space of about a year and I met Shannon the first time and again this time round. She is really lovely and relatable … and very helpful going above and behind to assist my indecisive self!! She has only just returned to her role at bensons so her colleague was also helping as more up to speed … I can’t remember his name but he loves mountain bikes and both of them made me feel like their only customer of the day and went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Nearly persuaded me to get the TV bed too other than the dimensions weren’t right! Can’t wait to receive my new bed thanks again guys!
