The unit cooled our bedroom much quicker than we expected during the recent heatwave. Setup was straightforward and the window kit fitted perfectly.

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal…

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Very unhelpful and quite rude. Couldn’t even help trouble shoot one of their own products. Basically said sorry we can’t help you buy another one as your are out of warranty. My second air conditioning unit, which stopped working 1 day after the warranty ended. The first one I had was within warranty and Amazon sorted that out. Wouldn’t touch their products again. Shame as people turn to these guys in the terrible heat.

Faulty Air Conditioner and Terrible Customer Service

Very disappointed with both the product and the customer service.

I purchased a Belahome Portable Air Conditioning Unit from Amazon on 19 June 2026 for £319.99, and it was delivered on 20 June 2026. Unfortunately, the unit stopped working on the night of 22 June 2026, after only a few days of use.

On 23 June 2026, I emailed customer services with a video showing the fault and photos proving the purchase. I also called several times and was repeatedly told that someone would reply the same day. No one ever did. I was also extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received. During one call, the representative stopped answering my calls altogether. When I telephoned using a different number, the call was answered immediately. This was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience.

To make matters worse, I was told that I would have to pay to return this 18kg unit myself. Only after speaking with Amazon was I informed that Amazon may reimburse the return postage cost.

An air conditioner should not fail within days of purchase, especially during hot weather when it is needed most. We bought this unit because we have a 6-month-old baby at home and needed reliable cooling during the recent heatwave.

The product quality is poor, but the customer service is even worse. A company should stand behind its products when things go wrong, especially when a fault occurs within days of delivery.

I would not recommend this company or its products.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Easy to order on the website, delivery next day by Fedex - very efficient. The aircon was straightforward to set up and seems to work well. So far I'm very pleased.

We purchased a AC Belaco 9000BTU unit via Amazon and the unit broke after 2 days. The customer service has been poor in fact when I tried contacting the company they ignored my phone calls and a lack of urgency to help with my enquiry. I’m still left with defunct unit with no resolution…. To make matters worse the same unit I bought has been re-listed on Amazon from the same company at a extortionate price which was three times I paid for it…. I wouldn’t want anyone to be paying over the odds for a unit that only works for a couple of days.

Very good customer service

Very good customer service. I had a problem trying to change the bars on my halogen heater and after sending photos was sent a new one. Would have liked to not have problem in the first place but was dealt with well.

Problems fitting hose but were able to stick it together and use it.

Bellaco 9000 Portable Air-conditioning Unit
UPDATE Belaco are now happy for us to send photos of this instead of videos, although because at the moment, these parts are stuck on with tape, and I am still using it, we will get to this ASAP, and hopefully something will be sorted out.
I am ill so will have to leave it to my very busy husband, but we feel it has been set in motion.
I'm very glad we could make ut work - it's made a big difference during this awful heatwave.
EDIT My husband did contact you explaining that he was unable to attach a video to his email. You emailed him back, asking him to attach a video.
We have managed to stick the relevant parts to the hose, but judging by a YouTube review we have seen since, this has not just been a problem for us. I have contacted you again as you requested, but we feel these parts should be sent attached, since they are all but impossible to screw on. Not really satisfactory when you consider we paid £299 for the unit. However, it is working very well with our bodge job at the momen and does cool the bedroom to a very comfortable degree. I have upped the review to 4 stars because although we've literally had to stick it together, it is working.

The 3 stars is for speedy delivery. However, we have been completely unable to fasten the square and flat clips to the exhaust hose (is it actually an exhaust hose? I thought it was just for hot air.) They will not fix on. We wonder if the circular bits that clip between the square and flat things and the exhaust hose were supposed to be already connected as those 2 parts are not even shown in the instructions or the list of parts, which seems very unhelpful.

The instruction manual tells us to do it - but it doesn't show those two parts, abd they will not attach to the hose no matter how hard we try. Also, fig 7 on the brochure is not marked. Neither is fig 8, plus there is a spare figure!

When we found a video of it, it seems simple to attach the clips to the hose, but they simply will not attach. Words on the video, and a bit more detail would be a lot more helpful as the rest we can actually work out.

When I buy a product made by a British company, I expect clear instructions.

I suggest, if you can't make it easier to attach the clips to the hose, you supply them already attached. Or maybe, they should have been and we got unlucky.

If someone can explain clearly to us how to fix them - and believe me, we've tried - so we can actually use this, I will upgrade my review. Meantime, it's 27c in the bedroom, I am recovering from a nasty illness, and I cannot use the air conditioning unit.

I also suggest one of you reads the brochure and rewrites it as some of it is not clear and is probably written by someone who does not use English as a first language. . Part 2, for example, is apparently called, Guide the wind box! ??? Part 5 is called a lid! It looks like a knob to me. You are a British company, I believe. It wouldn't take much effort to improve the instructions, surely.

Left outside

The two items I ordered were left outside my front door for anyone to take.
Additionally I had had no notification of when they would arrive.
I was left completely in the dark.
Luckily a neighbour saw them.
Poor service

Good product. Good Customer Relations

I bought two Belaco Convector Heater last November and it was working wonderfully well until one of them started tripping. I reached to the product service team and they arranged for a replacement for me without hassle in 2 days. I am glad I chose Belaco as my product of choice with my fan and heater. No regrets!
