Poor service
The delivery was twice delayed due to production problems, had this been accurately portrayed on the website we would has used another supplier.
Advertising “ next day” within “ 3-5 days” should be an achievable option otherwise it is falsely advertising and very costly when we needed to get Labour to a project.
This would stop me returning when other companies have the same or similar products.
At no stage was money back or compensation towards construction delays offered.
Very poor service only got a 2 star rating as the product did eventually arrive.

Still not received my order.
I have now received my order and understand what you said in your reply.
It would appear trust pilot jumped the gun asking me to review something i hadn't received.

Hi Jill, we are sorry to learn of your negative review. Your order was placed on the 27th March, shipped on the 2nd April and according to our records, was successfully delivered today - the 7th April . As stated on our website and Ts & Cs, the lead times displayed on our website are an estimation; unfortunately we are reliant on third party couriers and therefore we cannot always unfortunately guarantee an exact delivery date, particularly with Easter bank holiday weekends thrown in this week.
We hope your goods are safely in your receipt, if we can assist any further then please don't hesitate to contact us and we will endeavour to help you.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you felt our communication was slower than expected.
Having looked into your order, we can see that a proof of delivery was sent on the 21st. When you requested an update on the remaining items on the 26th, our sales team responded the same day. There were a few follow-ups between ourselves, the supplier, and your colleague over the following days, and we replied as soon as updates became available.
At the time, we were awaiting further information from the supplier, and with some team members out of the office on Friday, responses may not have been quite as quick as usual while cover was in place. That said, we always aim to keep communication as prompt and clear as possible. We would advise customers to call the office if an enquiry is urgent, that way we can be sure your enquiry is dealt with as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve this and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
If there’s anything further you’d like us to check or clarify, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Stressful and frustrating
I can honestly say that my experience with Barriers Direct was so poor i have to
question the validity of other customers reviews.
It took 3 weeks from initial contact to the delivery of my item, every time i called for help i received contradictory advice from different people every time, there lies the root of my problem.
I wanted the item installed and their installation team not only refused to do this but refused to offer any advice that i could pass onto a builder who is doing this for the first time - I found that to be an appalling attitude that i have not experienced before, they maybe 3rd party contractors but they represent Barriers Direct.
When i actually place my order, the process was speedy and the item arrived ahead of time.
Lastly, the individuals i spoke over this time were always pleasant to deal with.

We’re pleased to hear that your order process was quick, your delivery arrived ahead of schedule, and that our team members were pleasant to deal with. However, we’re very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with communication and installation advice.
From reviewing your experience, it appears there were a few overlapping factors that contributed to the confusion, and some of this is unfortunately circumstantial.
As your order was initially placed online then cancelled and recreated by our support team, this likely resulted in multiple communications being generated from different teams and systems. Additionally, your order was placed 'On Hold' as our supplier suspected it was a possible duplicate order, which would understandably have added to the confusion of multiple contacts.
Regarding installation, as you were interested in having the product installed and this required input from our specialist installation team, the enquiry was passed to another team which specialises in installation to ensure it was given the appropriate attention it needed - install isn't something the support team can advise on unfortunately, I can appreciate this may have felt like you were being "bounced around" but I hope the context is helpful here.
In situations where installation conditions may not be suitable, our teams must be cautious not to provide guidance that could lead to issues or liability concerns. On checking our files, I believe you wanted to install a bolt-down product into a muddy area. On this occasion we were unable to advise or guide because the ground conditions were not appropriate - this is not liability our installers would be comfortable taking on, nor would it be appropriate to provide guidance if you chose to take the installation on yourself. We appreciate that this may have been frustrating, but we take high quality installation seriously and felt we weren't able to guide you appropriately on this given the nature of the ground conditions.
