Arrival of order quicker than expected & good communication from the local Balfes

Always helpful and did a quick on the spot swap of the rear cassette onto a new wheel. Was picking up a few other bits at the time and on this occasion they didn't charge for swapping the cassette. Great service and why I always keep coming back 👍

Staff are informed and helpful. Helped negotiating choosing a good bike and then navigating cycle to work voucher. Very patient. Don’t overcharge if take bike in. Good crew.

Bike's back tyre was split on the side and the inner tube punctured. I rolled it in and Balfe's quickly diagnosed it all and I had replaced parts within about 10 minutes. No appointment needed.

Bad problem with gear change don’t get full use of gears

I got a honest appraisal of what work was needed and the guys went out of their way to make sure that my work would not be impacted as they did a really quick turnaround. Kept me informed at all times as to how the work was going and when I could collect my bike.

Asked team to fit a new rear tyre which matched the existing Kenda front one. Came back to collect the bike and they had fitted another brand which was a pain as I am trying to sell it (teenager FROG bike bought new from same store). Didn't make a big deal about it and paid but whole experience very underwhelming.

Offer full bicycle servicing options, but their customer service/friendliness in store could be better. I trust the servicing skills and they communicate clearly regarding parts that need replacing and how much it will cost.

The team was very helpful and were able to fix my bike within 24 hours which was nice and speedy and appreciated.

I spent £3000 in 6 months on two bikes with your company. I missed the 6 week service on the first bike. No good-will was extended to myself as a local customer in Streatham. When I called the support number it was agreed the 6 week service would take your company about ten minutes to complete. I did have a problem on the first bike . Luckily a local Authority cycle scheme fixed that basic chain falling off problem. Buying the bike was a good experience from store staff. This management decision to refuse a a 10 minute look over of the bike has left a nasty taste of being patronised as a potential buyer only to be disregarded after the sale was complete. I accept the late submission to the repair was my own fault.
