Fixed bike, staff pleasant and helpful. Reasonable price. Good contact with me.

They built a bike we bought through the manufacturer. Corrected the gears when they weren't working properly and kindly fitted a lock to the frame for free.

Bought my Brompton from here in April. Had to get a puncture fixed and the tyres changed last week at short notice following an accident/running over glass bottle. Really impressed with knowledge and service levels from all the staff and them being able to fit it in at minimal notice. Friendly, efficient and keep you updated on timings and cost. Prices fair. Highly recommended, thanks very much!

No problem picking up my order from the local Balfe's shop.

Great service. Ordered a pair of shoes which were on sale (great deal). I did deliver to store and I collected from the Hackney shop a couple of days later.

Friendly and helpful staff

Recently bought my bike through the Cycle to Work Scheme. Initially there was a hiccup with my order not having been placed through properly but the person on the phone was very helpful and placed my order there and then. Such an efficient service. When I came to pick up my bike, it was delivered with such a friendly attitude, I had to come on here to make it known. It is increasingly hard these days to find good, approachable service (I'm a millennial, not a boomer btw) so it almost takes me by surprise when I receive such excellent customer service.

On line service booking was simple and straightforward.
Service checks and the completion was a little delayed on this particular period at the Hackney Branch but I was kept fully advised of progress and when finalised for pick up.

I just collected my Brand new Trek Domane+ SLR 7 AXS from Balfes bikes Hackney store. They were as informative and helpful as is possible to be. Totally professional and accommodating. I was able to arrange a specific time slot to suit me as I had travelled 2 hours to take full advantage of the amazing discounts that they offered. Chris and Sophie thank you.

Excellent customer service and very helpful service

The people working in the store were very nice and helpful but... I bought a Scott bike from Balfe's last year, soon after, my seat got stolen, when I contacted Balfe's Bikes to find a substitute they couldn't get an identical seat. My recent experience was identical, my dynamo front light stopped working and they couldn't find an exact match or one with identical connections. As a result I now have a worse light put together in a really messy way. I am aware that Balfe's is not responsible for the supplier's that Scott works with but as a Scott reseller I expected that they would have access to spare parts. This is why I went back to them in the first place. Also within a day of having a general service, my gears were not working properly and started jumping breaking the chain mudguard in the process. Overall it feels like my bike is in a worse state than when it went in.

generally good however I took the bike in for its 6 week service and the messed with the tire pressure and I had it the way I liked it it did not need to be changed and Im not sure what did with the chain its like its was cleaned but not re-oiled is was rusting within 2 days and there was not rust in the first 6 weeks
