We made our reservation through Sunny cars
We made our reservation through Sunny Cars, trusting the company’s professionalism and the clear instructions stating that a representative would be waiting at the “Meeting Point” in the public parking area at Tenerife South Airport.
Upon arrival, there was no visible sign with the name of the local company (Avia Car), which forced us to call in order to locate the representative. The phone interaction was unprofessional and unfriendly. When we asked him to repeat the location because we could not find any visible sign, he stated that he would only repeat the instructions once, in a rude and dismissive tone.
When we finally met in person, his attitude remained arrogant and disrespectful. I responded in the same tone in which I was initially treated — no one can expect kindness when they are spoken to in a disrespectful manner first.
He later falsely claimed that I pushed him, which is completely untrue. I only tried to get his attention after being ignored. Such accusations are unacceptable and unprofessional.
The experience became so unpleasant that we ultimately decided not to collect the vehicle.
We understand that Sunny Cars works with local partners, but they should ensure that their collaborators meet proper customer service standards. As customers, we trust the brand we book with, and unfortunately this experience did not meet expectations.

The car itself was a bit scratched up and nothing special. I ended up being quite pleased about this as driving conditions on the island are not the easiest!!

Die Autovermietung in Puerto de la Cruz ist unterirdisch schlecht und ich rate von dieser Vermietungsstation ganz dringend ab. Die Zustellung im Hotel erfolgte nicht, sondern ich wurde abgeholt und habe den Mietwagen vor der Station übernommen. Das Fahrzeug war nicht verkehrssicher, da die linke Vorderradbremse defekt war, der Bordkomputer das Fahren extrem erschwerte, weil er permanent Fehlermeldungen generierte und Fahrassistenzfunktionen zeitweise nicht ausführte, was zu extremen Problemen beim Anfahren am Berg verursachte. Das Allerletze war, das diese Mängel uns bei der Rückgabe bestätigt wurden. Also Finger weg von dieser Station auf Teneriffa.

Takeover and giving back the car was very easy.
We booked over an agency with full insurance, for a week in Fuerteventura.
There was no harassment to book any extras, no complaints about tidiness, no problems with deposit.
The contact over WhatsApp was 24/7, friendly and reliable.
Everything went perfect.
The car was in much better shape & a better brand than expected(Skoda Fabia instead Kia Rio) an brand new.
I'd book again at Avia

Problemlose Buchung, pünktiche Lieferung des Autos direkt zum Hotel, Fahrzeug in gutem Zustand, problemlose Abholung des Autos vom Hotel (Schlüssel einfach bei der Rezeption hinterlegt).

1 hour flight delay they charged us 50e late pickup and 10 cleaning fee had many hire cars never had this befor we wont be using them or holiday autos again

Precios claros de principio a fin
La mejor opción si no quieres sopresas con el precio. Siempre utilizo esta empresa tanto para mis viajes de ocio como de negocio y son de 10. ¡Muy recomendables!

Do not trust
Do not trust. I have been renting cars for 30 years and never had an experience like this before. They have a "clean to clean" policy and charge for the slightest bit of sand or dust in the cabin. When I returned they inspected car themselves and claimed some rim damage. I know I didn't hit a curb or damage the vehicle and was charged, including a 75 Euro "admin" charge. Avoid at all costs

Charmless and extortionate
Having already bought additional insurance was put under huge pressure to buy their expensive insurance, also the fuel policy was rediculous as they want to charge fuel in advance but we would probably not use much on short journeys.
Many small scrapes on vehicle.
They seem desperate to squeeze as much money from you as possible even suggesting that auto assist was not included which it is

As Good as Avis, or better?
Previous reviews made us somewhat suspicious, but our own car rental with Avia went very well, and car was even brand new. No regrets at all. Full insurance warmly recommended, though.
DON’T rent a car from this company
DON’T rent a car from this company. We rented a car that broke down in an isolated area. We contacted the company they sent out a mechanic 1.5 later. When we open the hood the block on the motor looked corroded. Mechanic said he couldn’t fix it. Asked then what are we supposed to do at 10 pm. No hotels and only one house that helped us get a taxi to get us to our hotel. We arrived at 1 am . We’ve ask for reimbursement they said to contact corp. we did and they said by contract they replaced the car the next day at 2pm. Did they expect for us to sleep in the car .

Extra fee for spurious reasons on the card
Also happened to me that they wouldn't accept my credit cards, because apparently it was 'debit' and it couldn't be used for the deposit. But my bank ensured that mine was a mullti functional credit card. After all I have always used that card for rental in the past . So i had to pay 90 euros extra for insurance to cover "no deposit fee".

I efteråret 2015 lejede jeg en bil i en uge hos Avia Car ved lufthavnen på Tenerife. Udleveringsstedet var angivet som "at the airport", men der var i virkeligheden tale om en parkeringsplads, der lå et kvarters gang fra lufthavnen, og "kontoret" bestod af et læskur i det fri. Modtagelsen var aldeles uprofessionel.
Undervejs på ferien blev jeg påkørt af en anden bilist, mens jeg holder stille, hvilket efterlader ridser i lakken på begge biler. Umiddelbart efter uheldet taler jeg med den fremmede bilist og ringer derefter til Avia Car, som eksplicit fraråder mig at kontakte det lokale politi. Da forsikringssituationen efterfølgende skal udredes og den anden bilist ikke vil vedkende sig skylden, får jeg at vide af Avia, at jeg skulle have kontaktet politiet, og at jeg derfor kommer til at betale. De lover at gøre alt hvad de kan, men det ender flere uger efter hjemkomsten med en kortfattet email på dårligt engelsk og en regning for skaden.
Man kan mene, at jeg selv burde have kendt spillets regler og kontaktet politiet uanset. Men samlet står jeg tilbage med et indtryk af et helt igennem uprofessionelt biludlejningsfirma, som på ingen måde har styr på sin forretning og som svigter sine kunder, når man har allermest brug for dem.
