It’s good to know that for a little surcharge, all the power I used comes from renewable sources. End of story.
They could update me more.
They could update me more, but as far as there service for me goes (purchasing RECs to ensure that the power I use is credited as clean) they are fulfilling all promises. I wish they would get more integrated with Rocky Mountain Power, though :/
SCAMMERS!!!
SCAMMERS! They got me to sign up by saying my bill will never be higher than it would be by using the default National Grid energy suppliers. Just realized they have been CHARGING ME DOUBLE!

haven't even spoken to them they sent me a falsified email saying that they lost my national grid info requesting me to sign in , what a scummy business practice. Deceit off the bat ...!!!

Horrible Customer Service
This company is doing great things, but they have horrible customer service. They have messed up two of my utility bill payments and refuse to make it right. I will be cancelling my account!

Happily Using Them for Years.
Been using them for years for our two properties. No problems and easy dashboard to see trends and costs.
Feel great we are not using fossil fuels to provide electricity for our properties.

It's a pity this is the only way for many to subvert the State sponsored monopoly using coal and nuclear power, AND fobbing their debts and budget overruns off on the customer, but, so be it.
Arcadia is a reliable billing provider and using the current system to foster wind and solar power.

Arcadia is the simplest & most cost-effective way I've found to go green (solar) without the need to install a stand alone solar system!

Shifty company. Came to our door multiple times after being asked to leave. The whole RECs thing is a big scam and does nothing for clean energy.

I’ve been using Arcadia power for a couple years now without any issues. The mechanism behind how RECs work is mindbending, but an interesting mechanism to produce a market via legislation that I think is a very exciting way to promote renewable energy usage. I feel like this mechanism could be used to promote other social goods.
A great company to work with
A great company to work with if you want to lower the environmental impact of your energy usage. We’ve moved twice since we first signed up, and Arcadia made it easy to transfer our account to the new address each time.
Couldn't be happier
I have to say, it's pretty rare that an energy company gets a good review from me, but Arcadia has more than proven themselves. Great customer service, great ideas, great transparency, and great commitment to the environment.
Another company offering terrible customer support
I've been an Arcadia customer for about two years--the entire time they've offered service in my state. I was happy to be supporting cleaner energy and signed up for automatic billing via my credit card. I'm usually very wary about doing this and Arcadia has proven my anxiety well-founded.
My local energy supplier had to change their billing this summer due to updated state laws. So I didn't receive a new bill for two months. There was a big discrepancy between my Arcadia and energy company billing--the latter due abnormally quickly. I tried for TWO WEEKS to contact Arcadia by phone and email. They were NEVER available via phone. I just kept getting the message "We're experiencing a higher than normal call volume" with an option to leave my number for a call-back. I'd wait HOURS to get the call-back IF they ever called me back, by which time I'd be back to work so couldn't take the call. And their email replies--days after I send an email inquiry--have been unhelpful and terse. They've also refused to respond to my ongoing email requests to close my account.
I can't close my account via the Arcadia website. I can't even remove my credit card or turn off automatic payments. This, to me, is a red flag. I don't like a company keeping control of my credit card to make withdrawals I don't approve of. I've been trying for over a week now to cancel my account but Arcadia won't acknowledge my requests. This kind of business practice harms a company's reputation and frightens away customers.
Millions of Americans are eager for work. There's no excuse for Arcadia to have so few employees it can't more responsibly and efficiently handle customer concerns--especially those that are being made repeatedly. Know that if you actually need help from the Arcadia team, you may not even be able to contact them to resolve your problem.
I give the company two stars for their clean energy efforts, but take away three (of five) stars for poor customer service when there's a problem and poor website mechanics (can't turn off automatic payments or remove credit card or cancel account).

Once you move past the trust issue and realize this is a legitimate way to support alternate clean energy, it’s a breeze. My power bill (plus a little bit to support solar and wind) is deducted from my account automatically and I receive a statement by email. It feels good be a member. I believe in science and that climate change is real. Do your part!
