I was very pleased with the service I received from Anderson Strathern. Robin was approachable, honest and transparent throughout, and always responded promptly to emails and queries. The whole process was handled efficiently and professionally, and I felt well supported from start to finish. I would happily recommend them.

Absolutely awful experience with this firm. It took over a year to get any resolution on distribution of the deceased funds, and even then, they wasted thousands of dollars in bank fees with unwarranted "test" transfers and poor currency management, switching recipient accounts and currencies with no prior approvals. They do their transfers via wire, through RBS, who charge commission as well as flat fees. In the end, we lost over 20% of the total funds to bank fees alone (not to mention the various "fees" and charges Anderson Strathern imposed). Do not waste your time or money with them. they are hard to get hold of and make decisions which are not in the customers' best interest.

Bad experience with this company when calling with a simple enquiry. Unhelpful and not professional. Will not be using their services and would advise others to use caution when reading their positive reviews which may or may not be genuine.

Rude and unprofessional, continually sending harassing letters addressed to a deceased person who passed away over a year ago. Would not recommend.

WOW! this was my first experience with anything legal, and I was not let down. I was unfortunately caught up with allegations from my employer, and my solicitor Jennifer Mcphee was the strong soldier fighting my corner!! She believed in me when no one else did, and its so refreshing having a confident person behind you fighting your battles when I was so beat down. Being a solicitor must be so incredibly hard, I couldn't imagine doing what they do, but she knew my case INSIDE AND OUT, better then me, and it helped so tremendously. I am so thankful for this team for helping me get my life back, and would highly recommend Jennifer Mcphee as your solicitor

Ill served by this law firm in a civil case. Misinformed, badly represented and severely let down.

Cost us our life savings, a great deal of anxiety, and consequently led to severe health problems. A compliant to the Law Society ended up just being a waste of time, as expected.

I had a terrible experience with Anderson Strathern solicitors. After buying a flat, I found significant damage from a leaking external pipe that has affected both my flat and the one below. Despite promises that the issue was resolved, it remains unresolved.

Their lack of responsiveness is unacceptable—they ignore your calls and don't address serious issues. Avoid Anderson Strathern if you're looking for honest professionals.

They were terrible at selling my property, I was also told after buying id be owed £1000 but due to a mistake in calculation i now owe £4600 which is a 5.6k swing.

Avoid at all costs absolutely gutted i went with them.

If you complain about a lawyer, the firm is supposed to have a delegated solicitor here to investigate. However at this firm it seems they investigate themselves and then you can complain to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission

Really bad service! Waited for a document that was crucial to the sale of my house and they sat on it for 6!!!! Working days before forwarding it, then only did that after phoning and hastening! Had 2 families hanging with potentially nowhere to go. Moreover wrote threatening letters where there was no actual need. Don’t use this solicitor!

They made an absolute meal out of a probate they were doing. Blamed everything on everyone else except themselves. They slowed the whole process down to ensure that they could milk fees of £300/hour for as long as they possibly could. Took almost 2 years. Shocking tardiness but they must have known what they were doing.

I find this company hilarious. They act for a hotel chain. I spoke to them about five times on Tuesday 15 October.Their client cant access information so no contact. I call them Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and then Monday morning. They cant give a answer Monday morning but eventually on Monday they do contact. I explain I am working and will see what time I finish. They then send two emails today and despite any lack of urgency in previous 6 days they really really really really really really need this resolved today as its now really really important to them.
