Return the car one day before your initial date is not possible
Amigosautos does not give the opportunity to return the car one day before and get the money back.
I called Amigosautos to ask and all I got was: "we do not usually give the money back" without proposing any way to do it.
With other companies this is possible.

AutoClick rip off charge
I returned the car at AutoClick Alicante office on 12.10.2016 according to the rental agreement. There was a parking accident with a small damages on the car. I applied the papers about the accident to start the procedure to recovery at the same office before to return the car on 11.10.2016.
My credit card is charged with 1013 euro on 13.10.2016. Still this amount is missing from the credit card more than 3 moths.
It is apparent that everything is in order about the insurance to recover the damage.
All the details are available at the Police station Valencia.

Gold car rip off charge

When I returned the car on the 10th December it was examined by Goldcar female staff and she said it is perfect. 2 days after returning home had an email from Gold car saying they were charging me E30 because there was dust on the rubber Matt. If she pointed this out to me I would removed the rubber matt and cleaned it is less than 15 seconds. This is a scandalous charge and I expect you to get Gold car to return the stolen money to my credit card immediately.

Good service with active customer support
Rented a car in Spain through them. The price was one of the most, if not the most, attractive, the fees were clearly stated on the site, and when I had a specific request and contacted their customer support - I was answered within 24 hours.

Typical fraud
I bought a prepaid voucher from internet page of amigoautos.com that promised to been paid for car rental and insurance (covering 1000-2000€ depending the group of rented car).
As I arrived to Goldcar, there was one customer before me, who had same kind of prepaid voucher and who left and rented the car from other office, since the employee literally tried to blackmail her, forcing to pay for extra insurance (200€), for fuel (75€) and then she left. I was next and the employee started the same thing with me - insurance 200€ or deposit from my credit card 1010€ (that would of been ok, but he already threatened to rob it all to cover some "expences" if "anything should happen" with the car!!!!) fuel 75€ and then - 25€ to EXIT the parking lot!!!! :D I have rented car from Malaga Airport more then 20 times and there had never been any parking fee for customer - I think, this is not the customer's problem :D
However, the guy that worked there in Goldcar had a great resemblance to those terrible soviet salesmans, trying to give you the worst experience not just by being rude but taking unpoliteness to the next level. And especially he hated the customers with prepaid vouchers. Thank you, Goldcar guy, you literally gave the worst customer experience ever. And thank you, AmigoAutos for giving out promises that you can rent a car from 16€ and really pay 300€ or 1010€, depending of how stupid you are.
Of course I heard (as the customer before me) how stupid we are to trust the internet brokers.
Then I just cancelled my reservation and went to next car rental company and rented me a car on normal conditions, over the counter. And no, they did not charged me 25€ to exit the parking area :D Nor has any other car rental company done ever in Malaga Airport.
So yes, when in need of overpriced and horrible customer experience, I sure recommend both AmigoAutos and Goldcar! :D

Insurance scam!
Booking with Amigo autos was simple and straightforward,we chose a car from Goldcar, made sure I avoided the fuel scam of full to empty and made sure we had full to full. But, at Palma airport on collecting the car, was told about the EXTRA insurance which was not compulsory but, not advisable to reject. There should be clear charges displayed when booking, because I could have got a much better deal elsewhere, will not use again for this reason

A lot of additional costs
I rented a car in Palma de Mallorca. The rental company was GoldCar. I paid around 30Euros for the rent on the amigoautos, but at the GoldCar counter I was charged a lot a additional costs:
Flex Fuel (SDE)
- costes operac. 19Euro (21% tax)
- C.Extra V.Diesel 17Euro (21% tax)
So in total it was ~44Euro of additional charge. Although I did not want a diesel car, they made me pay for it extra money!
Moreover I had to pay for the operation out of regular hours (my flight arrived at 23.00) - additional 40Euro.
I was also advised to buy extra insurance of 80Euro. Buying this insurance they cancelled additional fee of 40Euro for the operation out of regular hours.
I strongly advise to read carefully the extra costs they put on your invoice. Especially if you are tired after the trip. You may be overcharged.
Just to sum up. I paid for the rent 30Euro on amigoautos webpage, and later additional 130Euro at the counter of GoldCar.

Be aware of hidden costs!!!
Whilst the prices appear cheap on the surface, they just slap you with a "service charge" despite not providing the service (in my case I filled up the petro tank and was still hit with a service charge I the region of €25 for them supposedly filling up the tank. So not the bargain it appears to be!

Works well, good customer service; poor transparency
It works, and reading thoroughly the terms of service will give you all the information. However it takes attention, time and effort to do so. It's not straightforward. So usability could be improved, for example making more obvious and faster to know about all the conditions and final pricing.
Customer service is fast and supportive.

Car in poor condition, and had to pay extra £200 for insurance
The price that was quoted on AmigoAutos seemed really reasonable so we booked it. When we picked up the car from Pulsar Car Rentals we were advised that we would have to pay an extra £200 for insurance and fuel. This is not made clear on AmigoAutos, it only says you have to have a credit card. It doesn't make clear that there has to be around £1000 available on the credit card to leave as a deposit! Also the car wasn't really in the best condition! Not too good really!! :-(
