Dr dean, what can I say! You are absolutely amazing. A credit to Affidea. Helped my mom a lot; followed up so efficiently in a professional manner. We wish we could have dr dean as our gp.

This service was absolutely awful

This service was absolutely awful. My son had an appointment for an MRI. There was no one at the reception as we walked in. Afterwards everything felt really rushed. I didn't even finish filling out the paperwork for my son and they processed to say that they would finish it with my son even though he is under age and I as an adult should have signed those documents by law. But the worst of all, as I was in the waiting room more people were coming in for their appointment and there weren't any more available seats and so the receptionist told me to go and wait in the car for him. But we didn't come over with a car so I just stood outside the building in the cold rainy weather waiting for my son. I would definitely not recommend this place based on the lack of respect and the attitude towards their customers from the receptionist!!

Horrendous to deal with

The Customer Service Centre is horrendous to deal with. Absolutely horrendous. You can see why they have a 2 star rating, most of it points back to their customer service team. They follow up all reviews online with a generic "get in touch with our quality team here" with an email address given - how about instead of asking your customers to give feedback that the company works on improving the reviews: retrain staff, improve procedures, give customer service training. It's really obvious why everyone is rating the company so badly, its really unpleasant trying to deal with them. I'd love to name names of the agents I dealt with as they were so bad.

Avoid Rabia Humayun 433534

Avoid Rabia Humayun 433534, she prescribed UNLICENSED medicine and didn’t advise so, caused a lot of inconvenience, suffering and she got paid 150 euro for this. By the looks of it quality department is also fake.

Misleading & Unprofessional

In December 2023 I contacted Affidea Belfast to check that they received the referral from my cardiologist, they claimed they hadn't even though the cardiologist confirmed they had. I contacted them again a week later on Monday 18th December, they confirmed they had received the referral but complained about my cardiologist (he had asked them to contact me 15 minutes before they were due to close on Friday 15th December - apparently 15 minutes isn't enough time to pick up the phone to a worried patient). They went through a series of questions with me which I answered. At the end of the call they said they would email confirmation within a few minutes. No confirmation arrived, I emailed them the next day requesting email confirmation, I received a blunt one line response to confirm the following day. Two days later I received a more comprehensive response.

After the MRI scan was complete I was shocked to learn the the price I had to pay was not the £395 as advertised on their website but £850! Despite the numerous contacts I had with them at no time was I advised of this extra charge. To say the customer service team were awful would suggest that Affidea Belfast customer service existed. They are at best misleading and unprofessional and at worst duplicitous and incompetent.

Lies and misleading information all the way

Was trying to arrange an urgent ultrasound privately and as quickly as possible for my teenage son following an A&E visit last Wednesday.

Wednesday -contacted Affidea Waterford, was told to get GP referral marked urgent and ultrasound would be done in a couple of days, they also advised that they work on Saturdays.

Thursday -urgent referral from GP received by Affidea Waterford. I called again to confirm, spoke to a different employee and was assured my son would be seen on either Friday or Saturday (again told me they work on Saturdays) and I would receive a text with an appointment.

Friday -called them once again, spoke to another employee who told me they had no availability on Friday, they DO NOT OPEN on Saturdays, they do not have anyone to perform ultrasound on Monday, the earliest availability would be Tuesday, and they could only confirm a Tuesday appointment if I paid €180.

My issue is not so much the number of days waiting, but the blatant lies and misinformation I was fed by this company during a stressful time. They completely misled me into believing this scan would be done by Saturday at the latest when they were fully aware that this clearly was not possible.

The public system in my local hospital performed the ultrasound yesterday (Monday) morning as they are aware of the urgency. This was arranged faster than getting a private ultrasound with Affidea who were charging €180 and caused so much unnecessary stress by giving false hope of getting an appointment quickly.

Avoid

Wish I read these reviews prior to taking our 2 year old here but we were in a panic following an arm injury over the Christmas period. Doctor missed the fracture on the X-ray and after I chased the following day due to him still being in a lot of pain, it was confirmed the radiologist could see a fracture. X-rays should have been sent to me via an app within 24 hours, still waiting almost a week later and it is now too late as we have had to have further X-rays in a different hospital. Don’t waste your money at this place. I emailed the quality team with my complaints and have not received any response. Shocking for a private clinic

Customer service team is awful.

My experience in the clinics was fine, but the follow up is abysmal. I've called the customer service department a few times now, and my god they are shocking ! They have no clue what is going on. Some of them are so rude. They sound absolutely bored and pissed off which is just what you want when you ring looking for information about your health. :(

Asked to leave as I was breastfeeding

My 2 week old baby and I accompanied my husband to his appointment - having walked in, my newborn was clearly fussing and needed to be fed. I immediately informed the receptionist that I was breastfeeding and would sit in the reception area to feed my baby while we waited for my husband. She told me this was not allowed and stated that me and my baby had to leave the premises.
I have never felt so discriminated against and had to leave with both my baby and I quite upset at what happened.

Got an MRI appointment within 2…

Got an MRI appointment within 2 days...great! Now just waiting on the report to be sent to my GP. Waiting 7 days now and still no sign of the report. No response to emails, have phoned numerous times and when I'm not hung up on I'm told they can't really do anything to expedite the report. This was in the Limerick clinic.

Staff Policy?

I went to Affidea in Tallaght to get a receipt for a CT scan as I wished to claim back tax on it. I was told it had been covered by insurance by the girl inspecting my details on the screen. I stated that I distinctly remember handing over cash at the same desk and being disappointed that my insurance hadn't covered it. She continued to claim my file said the opposite.
I stood my ground and asked to speak to someone else about it. Her immediate response was to say that I had in fact paid for it and she issued me my receipt.
Am I paranoid or does that stink to high heaven ?

Mri3 weeks now wmaiting foappointment for…

3 weeks now waiting for appointment for urgent mri scan every time I ring I get a different person with a whole list of different reasons, sick of being lied to ,I have now missed my follow up appointment with my consultant and probably my slot for surgery because of their incompetent carry-on, worst service I've ever seen in my life, never ever again. And all the while I'm living on a high dose of pain killers, shame on affidea you obviously don't care .also my consultant wrote on my referral letter ,needs urgent scan,obviously the word urgent means nothing to affidea.

I was in northwood on 11/10

I was in northwood on 11/10. The experience of MRI scan was horrible. The speaker was really load, it screamed into your ear, after I told them, they still didn't lower the volume. But anyway, on the way out, I was told to take 3-4working days for the result. I rang them 7days later, still no result. And it is so called private scan. I was told that their Doctor is very slow,all they could do was to send email and ask them to hurry up. I made a complaine over the phone, and they just hang my phone straight away. It is pure rude, no manner, disgraceful! Avoid this place!

Customer service

I was in affidia this week and ten mins late for check in time but ten mins early for appointment. The receptionist who greeted me could do with doing a customer service course . She was the first point of contact and her manner was appalling. The girl who brought me to the room wasn't any better. But the radiographer was a breath of fresh air, I think his name was rakesh. You are entering a medical facility some people prob are dreading this as there results could be life changing and you have to deal with staff members like that. I sat and watched and listened how other people were spoken to on arrival, the staff member in question should not b on a front desk greeting people.

Very unprofessional booking system

Very unprofessional, I spend hours on the phone trying to book an MRI appointment as quickly as possible. After a call, got two email confirmations, one for an appointment in Tallaght and one for an appointment in Dundrum. Affidea will not accept appointment unless you give them your bank card details and will charge you a full MRI cost if you don’t cancel 24h in advance. As I was going to the Dundrum appointment, asked for the Tallaght one to be cancelled. Did not receive a confirmation of cancellation of Tallaght appointment via email though I asked for it. On top of that, when I arrived on a Sunday morning to my appointment in Dundrum I was told there was no space for me as it had been cancelled. This is a joke of medical service! Completely unreliable and don’t know what they are doing! Time wasters!!

Toxic environment

This company has a tendency to hide information. They talk behind your back and are not able to give you clear and direct information. I was very excited to work here but in the end I realized that only arrogance and arrogance reigns, especially from the administration manager and corporate human resources team

Grace who works in ultrasound could…

Grace who works in ultrasound could really do with some extra training on bedside manners. Absolutely appalling attitude towards people. Rude,uncouth and demeaning. I'm glad I wasn't there for something more worrying like suspected cancer or something similar as her attitude would have been even more unbearable. A true feeling of an extremely bad work atmosphere coming through on how the staff are treating patients. A very bad experience that I won't be repeating. Disgusting. If you're attending this clinic in the near future. Brace yourself for rudeness.
