Shipping Takes Forever
Placed an order 12/14, never made it to me. Contacted customer service, supposedly placed a new order 12/28. It is now 1/5 and UPS does not even have possession of the package! Customer service has shown no sense of urgency in getting this resolved. It’s now almost a month since my original order was placed and I am losing hope of ever receiving my package (which was supposed to be a holiday gift). This experience has really changed my perception of Aēsop as a brand.

Shampoo and hair mask makes hair sticky
I was woo-ed into testing some Aesop products at the Regents St location after using some of their free lotion strategically placed outside the shop. I ended up buying some purifying shampoo (a small 100ml bottle to test) and a moisturizing hair mask for my balayage. Unfortunately both were really quite mediocre compared to my current products (L'Oreal professional metal detox). The shampoo felt really sticky and the hair mask made my hair feel oily within half a day but didn't necessarily get all the knots out easily.
I wouldn't recommend buying haircare products from Aesop, body wash, hand wash and lotions at best.

Quick resolution and great customer experience
After a lovely experience in the Edinburgh Aesop store, I ordered my first Aesop products online. Unfortunately I received the wrong items, but their 24/7 consultant chat with Madi resolved my issue immediately. They suggested I keep the incorrect items and are posting the correct items via express shipping. Excellent customer service and quick resolution, I would order from them again.

I purchased a Tigerlily Ainsley Lucia Wrap Top In Turquoise Paisley for $102.90AUD on 28/11/2024 through aesop website - over 18 days ago.
No response received with order confirmation, tracking number - anything!
Even though my bank account has been deducted the funds..
I contacted a fortnight ago through website portal to no response.
I have emailed again today - not through the portal this time so I have record of my emails- I’ve requested confirmation of order, tracking ID - receipt of purchase OR a full refund to be actioned immediately.
Waiting on response.
I am highly suspicious of this company.

Keine Lieferung, kein Kundenservice
Ich habe am 5.12.24 eine Bestellung aufgegeben, diese wurde bestätigt. Leider kommt die Lieferung nicht. Kundendienst antwortet weder auf Anrufe noch auf Mails. Im Bestellstatus steht immer noch "baldiger Versand", daneben steht "voraussichtliche Lieferung 12.12.24 (heute ist der 13.12.). Das finde ich sehr enttäuschend. und es passt so gar nicht zu den tollen Produkten.
Update: Aesop hat geschrieben und sich für ein unerwartetes Problem beim Versand entschuldigt. Nun werde die Bestellung auf den Weg gebracht. Freundlich geschrieben. Ich hätte mir die Info nur eher gewünscht…

Over Two Weeks and Did Not Receive the Order
I ordered my order almost 1 week before Thanksgiving. It is now December 9, 2024 over 2 weeks. I still did not receive my order while my credit card has already been fully charged. I contacted Aesop customer service several times to ask for the status and was given the same run around that it will be shipped "tomorrow". 2 Days ago, I was told that one of the product was out of stock and they had to wait but should be shipped "tomorrow". As of today, it is showing that it is still being "processed" This is the biggest run around I have ever received from an online company who prided themselves on customer service.

I wandered into Aesop Piccadilly, just browsing aimlessly. It was a lovely shopping experience, expertly helped by Mia, who was so knowledgeable and welcoming and I bought some cleansing milk. I was also pleased to see Aesop is a B Corp company

Got 100ml of coriander seed body cleanser, as a treat. The scent doesn't last after you leave the shower. Seems pointless giving it a scent. I queried them and they advised me to purchase other items to combine. Won't be going back to them.

Useless pump bottle
I bought the geranium leaf body balm in a pump bottle and the pump only works for half the bottle after that I have to keep opening it and shaking the bottle till the lotion comes out. Love the lotion but this is a nuisance.

Experienced the worst customer service…
Experienced the worst customer service in the store in Battersea Power Station today. Went in to purchase a refill. Completely ignored by the three staff present. Had to walk up and specifically ask for a tester and when we did got hardly any information / sales discussion. This was worlds apart from the experience we had at the store at Piccadilly Arcade. The retail experience is important when you're spending £31 on soap and this recent experience was terrible.

Poor customer service
I ordered a gift from their website and paid for next day delivery. 24hrs later I received an email stating that "due to a technical error, express shipping isn't actually available." I contacted them back, explaining that I needed the gift the next day, but they didn't respond until the evening. They suggested I cancel the order or place a new one with standard shipping, offering a 10% discount for the inconvenience, which is laughable and unacceptable. They also failed to offer any viable alternatives or meaningful compensation. This service is shocking, especially considering the high cost of their products. DO NOT pay for next day delivery on their website.

So expensive yet does not lather.
Even then we used it as it was sulphate free.
It works as a soap, but without a lather you just feel like it’s not worth it.
This brand is now owned by L’Oréal and I would just avoid it. We don’t support company’s that are not ethical.
First time ordering from the website
First time ordering from the website. Spent almost £300. Product quality is great and perfumes lovely. However the express shipping took almost a week. Furthermore, it stated samples included in every order. I only received one sachet? Luxury brands such as La mer send at least 4 samples, as a spend over £200 always has sample offers included.
