I don't think so they are their to help victims. At least what I noticed it is waste of time.

Do not ring these clowns total waste of time .
They are more fraudulent than the people you call them about .
No wonder there is so much fraud around this or organisation encourages it .
How is this department allowed to exist !

Action Fraud is a FRAUD itself! I have been subject to several criminal actions. I have evidence of who has done it, how they did it, and each time some computer spits out a message like the one below. Don't worry it is standard and it only has my name and email. And you can't reply. CON ARTISTS trying to help people.

I have been the victim of identity theft.
I have a case open with Action Fraud.
I was advised by them immediataly contact CIFAS to buy 2 years protective security.
My card has been blocked for obvious reasons therefore CIFAS won't let me buy the protection online and I cannot see another way to buy it.
I spoke to a well meaning woman at Action Fraud who kept repeating over and over that CIFAS is a separate company and 'obviously' she cannot guarantee their services.
I kept reminding her that all I was doing was following Action Fraud's advice to protect myself and she simply got defensive and kept telling that 'obviously' CIFAS is a separate company.
So basically she is saying to me ' tough '.
So much for Action Fraud.
The only useful thing they have done is provide me with a couple of crime numbers.

Why does Trustpilot not permit 0-star ratings? I was scammed when I stupidly believed scammers were calling from my bank over a number of days. My bank instructed me to report it to Action Fraud. The website is awful, slow and extremely difficult to negotiate. It doesn't even look official and had I not been told to contact it, I would think it was a scam in itself.

Absolutely useless. I think that they are using AI to answer fraud crime claims. The answer to my query was replied to almost immediately which made me think that the claim hadn't been read properly.
They said identity theft wasn't a crime. Stealing from a bank account wasn't a crime.

I would give it zero stars if I could.
I provided valid bank account details of the fraudster, and Action Fraud declined to pursue - claiming “they didn’t have enough information to pursue”.
My perception is that it is another useless and meaningless government agency.
However, no doubt if I made any anti-woke statement on Twitter, I would be arrested immediately and sentenced to Life Imprisonment.
And the Police wonder why the General Public perceive that there is 2-tier policing…

Po to parašė tipo kriminalistas vedantis bylą, toliau seka prisiimti kreditų ne mažai sumai 10000 eur čia tipo po to įrodyti kad esate nekalta jų teigimu dėl kitų priimtų ,pinigų,nezmoniskom sumom kaip įrodymas dėl mano nemokumo. Visa laimė nepraradau sveiko proto tai neturi buti taip, atsaukiau 2 u kreditus kur davinejo po 10000 EUR. O už ką iš AML reikėjo sumokėti 2000 EUR taip nelabai ir supratau. Trumpai kalbant viena sakė priešingai elgesi.AFERISTAI. Kaip žema. Nepasitikėjimas -10000%

Had my mobile stolen while unlocked and they managed to break into my bank account (Presumably resetting pin with email address) and transferred all my money from my savings to my current account, extended my over draft and took out a 15k loan through my NatWest bank. They raised two case numbers one for the transactions and one for the loan. Got two emails the same day later that night and supposedly both of these do not warrant as a police recorded crime. How does any of this make sense, they stole my identity and maliciously and illegally used it to steal my money and make a fraudulent loan request. Top that off the officer who called me already closed the case. I said I was near a train station in central is there any cctv and he said if I spot it I can call back and it will be reviewed. This is why this crime has grown so fast here in London. Lack of any effort by any department to catch the perpetrators.

Completely waste off time waste off money do nuffen then send it over to a useless policeforce this is a complete joke waste off time money what dose this useless servise do other than talk a hole bunch off crap this is while people continue to be exposed robbed id like to set up a page where victims can help each other and close down action fraud put money into a page where we can pay for resources to help each other as I've been suffering this for 3 years matmybe more nearly took my own life then got very ill nearly dieing and still nothing useless sevise this why this country is such a state nobody knows wat they are doing I even hired private deactivate please don't bother waste your money ive done most off this investaging myself even when u habd it on a plate they still do nothing USELESS waste off public money for wat nuffen close it down also mine still going on and now doing same to my stepdaughter who's elderly got cancer this been done though all my accounts can't even be bothered to look let alone anything else they will tell u change yr password without even looking into anything jokers water off time and public money or u just got inadequate incompetent people running this funfair

OK my latest reported incident is no big deal(small incident) and as is per usual you get the feeling that these people put endless hours into the pursuit of not doing a second of real police work.
The incident before this though where I lost my life stime savings and to say it was an uphill battle to even see real people/police let alone any "action" is an under estimate.
There was so much to investigate and yet they did not leave their office once I dare say, and where I am now doing it all myself, and after my short meeting with two very large overweight dim officers who totally BS me through my short meeting I am better off on my own.
Should I find the conclusive evidence I need I will not be wasting my time with the police, I cannot risk it, I shall use my own resources and deal with it myself.
This has proved to me that Britain is lawless and with no kind of policing.
They are pathetic

ActionFraud Is Not fit for purpose
I had all the evidence of a scam run on Vinted with fake trainer sales
They declined to investigate, and this isn’t the first time I have had contact with these wasters,
Organisation is not fit for purpose they do nothing, this is why petty crooks continue,
They are tricky to communicate with as well,
If they email you it will be on a no reply email,
So you have to log into your account and navigate the contact us along with the reference number,
Absolutely waste of public money

I would give them zero what a waste of time kept saying that I wanted to make a report couldn't type anything and just went round and round in circles absolutely useless manged by tax payers money I'd make sure I never paid you single penny and that would be too much

OMG! If ever there was a system designed to make reporting scams as difficult as possible, and embolden fraudsters, it it this. I couldn't even report the actual scam, which might result in vulnerable people giving over their bank details, due to a technical issue that might take 72 hours to resolve. Another person with a personality working from home and following a script. Should be renamed Fraudhelpers.

Myself and 3 friends all scammed by the same person . Action Fraud said there was no crime to answer.
The person had defrauding up to 100,000 and handed herself in to the police .
Still nothing from action fraud.
Then then asked me to fill in a survey of my experience still waiting for it.

I was sent a solicitors letter from a troublesome neighbour. I checked on the Solicitors registration website and found that the solicitor who signed this letter was David Ward KC - this solicitor died in 1949 and there is no other solicitor of that name. The letter came from a company called Orwell’s consultancy who ceased to exist in 2002. After Action Fraud, allegedly, worked on this for 28 days they concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to convict as it was a case of identity theft. I phoned the police and was told identity theft is when someone steals your personal identity not when someone writes a letter pretending to be someone else. There is no way to review my case, there is no one to write to at Action Fraud and when I went back to their website to complain my account had been disabled. Totally useless exercise . You can see by other reviews what a success they are!

Luckily I do not live in the UK, otherwise I wouldn’t feel protected at all against financial crimes: I have reported an attempted fraud made from an UK based company but ofc - as other thousands people already have written here - the report was closed with the usual sentence. It’s embarrassing. Good luck to whoever will get scammed in the UK, because no justice will be done.

Reported an obvious Microsoft tech support scam with phone number of scammer. ActionFraud emailed back five minutes later saying no crime committed. What is the point of this useless organisation?

Excellent service-helped me make statement, advised me on the best course of action & followed up. I am pleased to say that my money taken illegally from my bank account was fully refunded
