The facility staff gave me a fixed quote. However, as I was about to pay...the price jumped up. When I showed the staff the emailed quote from the previous day...I was told from 'That was a mistake'.
Having already booked a van, there was little I could do but agree to the contract. The facilty is a maze with low ceilings and narrow corridors. The very few rusty broken trollies are of little use and the staff not at all helpful. The faciity seemed hot and humid with intermittent lighting. The front doors were open all day, which raised security concerns with myself and the other people using it.
After I had given 14 days notice...I still received demands for the following month. Despite four follow up reminder calls..I am stiil awaiting some refund. Avoid this company. There is no policy. There are better facilities around.

Prior to moving in, our team spent time with you across several visits, showing different unit options and discussing sizes, pricing, and available discounts to help you find the most suitable solution. Unfortunately, there was some confusion caused by an automated quote not updating correctly when unit sizes were changed, but the correct pricing was explained before your agreement commenced.
We do recognise your comments regarding the trolleys and agree there's room for improvement. New replacement trolleys have already been ordered and will be arriving shortly.
In relation to your refund, we advised that refunds can take up to two weeks to reach customers' accounts. However, after you vacated on 29th June, the refund was processed and reached your account on 3rd July, well within the advised timeframe and has now been with you for several days.
We're pleased that our team was able to assist you throughout your tenancy and regret that your overall impression was not more positive. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best for the future.

A friend used Access storage and had no…
A friend used Access storage and had no issues except quality of facilities but one month when finances took a turn. After missing ONE payment and then catching up and being back on track they evicted him with no remorse. I called on his behalf to reconcile but this was never an option. There customer service is horrendous and very worrying as me trying to resolve a simple mishap turned out to be threatening with eviction and little room to negotiate. Poor customer service.

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and we do understand that you were trying to help your friend, which we genuinely appreciate.
We’re sorry this situation has left you with a negative impression. Please note that we’re only able to discuss account details directly with the customer unless formal authorisation has been provided, which is why our team couldn’t go into specifics when you contacted us.
In this case, the account had been subject to ongoing late and missed payments over a period of time since moving in, and multiple attempts were made to contact the customer through calls, emails, and reminders.
As communication remained limited from the customer and the account continued to fall into arrears, we followed our standard debt recovery process, which ultimately led to the termination of the agreement.
We always aim to work with customers where possible, but we must apply our policies consistently and fairly to all. We’re sorry again that this experience was frustrating and appreciate you raising your concerns.

The opening hours are inconvenient + no lights
The opening hours are inconvenient. The Self Storage closes at 6 pm on weekdays, 5 pm on Saturdays, and 4 pm on Sundays. This does not take into consideration people who are busy during the day and have time to spare in the evenings.
The fluorescent lights outside my unit do not work, despite my reporting it twice. They still have not replaced the bulbs. I ended up using my own battery-powered lights, as the units themselves do not have any lighting.

We are sorry to hear that the opening hours have not suited your schedule. Our standard opening hours are displayed online and in store, and extended access is available for customers with larger units, as well as in certain situations such as move ins, move outs, or where additional access is genuinely needed. We always encourage customers to speak with the store team so they can advise on what options may be available.
Regarding the lighting, thank you for raising this again. A staff check carried out last week showed the lighting to be working, however we have asked the store to carry out an immediate check again this morning and they will ensure the issue is fully resolved.

Access Self Storage
No response from customer services regarding damage of sofa
We stored our things with Access for 3 months in-between a house move and paid for insurance to cover our belongings whilst stored there. The facility was fine despite the space having an open meshed ceiling and staff were very helpful. However, when we came to move out, our movers noticed damage to a sofa we had stored there. This was flagged immediately to the manager and followed up with photos via email as requested. This was back in August 2025 and despite multiple emails from our end, we still have heard nothing back regarding our claim. Very disappointed with the service received, especially since we had paid for the insurance and sent all documents required.

cancel my contract close my account where I didn’t even ask for it. Supposed to get a refund Couple months now still waiting keeps telling me lies. Never got a call back when they always promise someone will call me back.

Access is straightforward once you have downloaded the app which allows entry.
