They say they can provide phone number but if you sign up with them and there is no phone number you do t get it and after 1 month your credits are invalid. Poor and misleading, avoid!!!

I had an issue on my account, emailed customer services, heard back from them within 5 minutes with the issue sorted!
The 192 service has useful and up-to-date information which otherwise would be difficult to access. Customer service is outstanding!
This is the biggest load of crap around!! They give an individuals name, make it look as if they have loads of info, but their database is all garbage!! I bought the background verification and literally came back with no results on everything!!!!
UPDATE: They responded saying that the money has been refunded...THAT'S A LIE!!! Their response was 2 days ago and they said as you cannot comment of the responses left on Trustpilot!

Irrilevant historical information. Waste of time.
I needed to contact the previous owners of my neighbours for a boundary dispute.
I got much less info that is available for free from zoopla and for a fraction of the cost from land registry.
Furthermore, they behave in a deceptive way to gain an unfair advantage and unfair money: If you click twice on the same record, even within the same session, they charge twice the credits! To show twice in a row the same info? Really?

What a complete rip off. Do not use this company, just paid almost £20 to enable a search of a friends address and contact number after mobile crashed and in for repair.
Clicked on a search for friend, no phone listed, so after trying get family members, all 6 credits used up. You clearly need to read the very small print to understand that each click effectively costs you £3.
When I rang customer service to try and understand where my credit had disappeared the customer services guy was polite, but showed no empathy and it was clearly a regular complaint.
Just to reiterate, use any other method other than 192.com if you don’t wish to be fleeced.
Update.
What a shame it took a poor review on Trustpilot to result in a well received refund, perhaps the customer services could have a little more proactive. Rating changed.

The information given was incorrect after I made the purchase. When I made them aware of this via email, their response was swift and was given a full refund. The reason why the information was incorrect, the person may have left the electoral register, or failed to register in their new home.
You do a search, 192.com imply they have data to show, but you need to pay to see it (it is expensive). Once you have paid you find the data is incomplete and out of date. 192.com say they only have data from the ‘open register’. I have discovered two things. First, they have data that is not on the open register (whether this is their fault or my local council’s fault is hard to determine). Secondly, people have learnt to opt out of the open register which makes using 192.com completely pointless in a large number of situations. So think carefully before handing over your money

I had a technical problem downloading a large report. Matt at 192.com was friendly, helpful and was able to send the report to me via email. Super helpful and fast!!
This is the first time I've used 192.com services (I'm based in Australia) and I find their customer service exemplary. So quick to reply and give you the right advice. Thank you.

deceptive. obtain your info before trying to charge you money. Just be upfront first. low trust value. Seems like info is also outdated, just go to british library for free.

Out of date and corporately useless. Using 192 is the equivalent of steam in the nuclear age.
They charge a fortune for information which is decades old. They don’t invest in up-keeping the books and directories and are seemingly more than content with robbing and deceiving the public.
There’s a growing perception that 192’s skullduggery is probably within the realms of a suspicion of fraud - certainly obtaining money under false pretences.

I am not on the open electoral role, so why are my personal details registered on 192.com? I've requested removal, however my private information should never have been uploaded there to begin with!
In response to your reply: You're incorrect, as I have opted out of the open register annually since moving to my current address, therefore 192.com should not have published the aforementioned details.
In response to your latest reply: That's beside the point, the fact is that, 192.com have to comply with data protection law.
What lawful basis does 192.com rely on in collecting and using personal data?

It's my experience, that 192.com does not comply strictly with all data protection legislation, and that, I understand completely! Firstly, if 192.com did, my personal information would not have been uploaded, as I'm not on the open register and have always opted out. In fact, the Electoral office confirmed, that one remains opted out, until one decides to opt back in. Secondly, I already called 192.com, and had a conversation with one of your colleagues. On enquiring where 192.com is sourcing its information from, your colleague stated, that it is from a third party, when I asked who that party was, they stated, that, that information could not be divulged to the public?! Hence, I reported this to the ICO, who stated, that this is the antithesis of the ICO's policy, i.e. Third party information should be transparent and open, hence available to the general public.

purchased 100 credits and had some left. Logged in and they have disappeared. Also had an account which got suspended for no reason.

It was many years since I had used 192.com. I decided to open a new account and use it again. I had some difficulty in setting up a new account and appealed for assistance from their customer support. They then discovered my 2009 account and advised me that it was still active and still had a small balance, which I have now been able to use, together with some additional funds. Excellent service!

bought 6 credits to test it out - it doesn`t even store your searches in your account.
I certainly won`t be using this site again,
