Profit before people/care

Woodlands hospital in Guyana quite possibly the worse form of despicable, they provide below adequate care. Take their time to run tests while families speculate whats happening, while charging the famililes more and more money. Families have to lodge at lesst 250, 000 before any form of care is provided, there is a new form of despicable, its called Woodlands hospital Guyana. Guyana operating under the American system of privatisation, its deplorable, unjust, unethical and distorts all the hypocritic oath stands for...I hope Guyana can come up with a better alternative where people actually recieves the care they pay for...its awful.

The nurse Paula is trying to kill me!

The nurse Paula is trying to kill me!
She keep giving me random diabetes medication as a result yesterday I passed out while driving and that could result to me dead or even worse somebody else get hurt when I rang to say something she talked to me worse that I talk to a dog barking orders and making no sense. I called 111 and guess what?: they sent me immediately to the hospital where the doctors after examinations 100% agreed with me and told me not to take those medication if this doesn’t show her incompetence and awful behaviour I don’t know what will.
I am planning to take legal advise on this issue as it’s a recurring pattern with this nurse and I strongly believe she is NOT fit for her role putting my life and more importantly innocent people life at risk for her disgusting attitude.
Something must be done immediately

Wonderful experience

I had a L5s1 discectomy and decompression yesterday at the Woodlands, completed by Mr Joshi and his team.
I want to thank everybody for being so amazing and looking after me, they have gone above and beyond my expectations.
I went down for my op around 10am and was awake at 12:15, I’ve also seen Mr Joshi 3/4 times since, he keeps popping in to see how I am and to check I’m not doing too much haha
All the nurses are so informative and friendly AND they are early/on time for everything, checks, meds…
I’m not sure I want to go home today!!
I strongly recommend this hospital to anyone and I cannot believe how fab I feel so soon!
(The rooms are great too!)
Thank you so much to everyone ❤️🥰

Treating patients with contempt is not a good look

I today attended the hospital for an outpatient appointment.

Understandably, the reception staff cannot be responsible for consultants working behind schedule. The note in the waiting area suggests contact with the staff after twenty minutes - which proved a pointless exercise, as they had no idea when the then current patient had entered nor how long the further wait would be. I indicated the time pressure I was under but nothing was to be done.

Much more annoyingly, on trying to leave the carpark after my consultation, my car was blocked in by what transpired to be two of their staff. I returned to reception and was disappointed, and frankly angered, by the lackadaisical approach to locating the drivers. I had to implore multiple members of the management team to try to intercede and it was only after 25 minutes that the relevant (staff) drivers were found.

I did not appreciate the lecture from one of the drivers (Woodland staff) about how I had parked in “her” space. She was clearly of the view that the inadequate carpark signage should be known to me by some process of intuition or osmotic thought transfer.

Taking all the experiences together, it is clear that they treat patients with contempt and regard us as an interference in the smooth running of their personal interests. I am not impressed and complained formally about the staff’s demeanour and comments.

Dear woodland Kettering

Dear woodland Kettering, I’m so amazed by the way you have acted after sending me home , after my spinal surgery, the care I got was totally unexpected, after complaining for 3 days I felt unwell , you started in your report the care was up to standard , which I no it definitely wasn’t , I no there’s a cover up , after sending home , the next day I was rushed into Kettering general hospital where I passed away for 6 minutes, I was told by the resus team at Kettering, I had 1 more minutes to come back , thank god I was totally greatful to them , you have totally changed my life , the cover and lies , you should be ashamed of sending people home , and not listing too!

Shame on you Woodlands Hospital Kettering

Having had a second hip replacement recently, 12 months after my first hip replacement, how the changes in service were obvious. It felt like the hospital was run by numbers and turning beds rather than patient care. I was extremely sick and in considerable pain but forcefully rushed out of my room and left to wait for 6 hours in the day patient holding area. Most of the nurses were superb but the managemnt who forcefully browbeat me into leaving my room while I was confused, sick and in pain, made me feel extremely upset and vulnerable. I can't put into words how awful this experence was but it has stayed with me since leaving the hospital over a week ago.
