* They did fix the issues of the internet failing every time the wind blew
** Constantly had to call to get internet speed fixed
*** They are not open on the weekends; meaning if you have issues, wait til Monday (despite them charging more than other providers)
*** They changed their billing to include "rental equipment" to increase the overall cost per a month (while enjoying your non-granular data from the router they're renting you; unsure if they sell this data...most likely do)
**** When you try to cancel, they put road blocks in the way; (1) You can only cancel via the "cancellation department" (2) this department has only one guy running it (3) If you try and submit a written request to cancel, via their website...they will not honor it (4) if you're unable to get in contact with the cancellation department, prior to the next billing cycle...they will not prorate...meaning they will charge you for a full month.
Get yourself better provider; this company has poor ethics and will try to nickel and dime you.

This ISP is probably the most unreliable service in Southwest Missouri! I'm 5 miles from the clear line of sight tower and very frequently loose service or it drops down to old dial up speeds! My wife's law practice depends in reliable service and this is definitely not it! If your in the South or Southwest Missouri area or anywhere your considering Wisper you should definitely weight your other options. Starlink will be coming soon hopefully!

Service goes down if the weather isn't perfect. Sometimes even a light rain is enough to to make it go out. The tower is literally across the street. Horrible bandwidth even after upgrading to $85 a month. We have no other choices and within the last year seen so many outages and issues with our connection. Also goes out at around 12:30am for no reason multiple times a month. I really on my phone hot spot most of the week because if it rains, we don't have service for at least 2 days. Can't wait till spectrum lays the fiber lines, because this is unacceptable

WE have had Wisper since they bought out our previous isp. In Jan of 2019 we signed a contract for more speed. It cost $125. On Feb 20 2022 I discovered they were offering the same speed for $65. I contacted them the next day and was told by two agents that price has been going on for over 7 years. They transferred me to the manager Mr Micheal who was rude and clearly wasn't interested in my complaint. He wanted to continue the over payment until NEXT billing cycle to change the price to normal. Not offering any credits at all while I'VE over payed $2160. He always spoke in a very condescending manner. His reasoning was that price is for new customers only we FORGOT TO PUT THAT IN! Yet he agrees to change the price in the future?! It doesn't say that NOWHERE in the plans! Also if there's an outage (almost everyday) we would be FIRST to get service! Not good enough for an EXTRA $60 per month. Plus we are all working off the SAME tower! Then he stated that price has only been going on for two weeks (not according to the first two agents)! Total humiliation for a person in management. This gentleman nearly had me in tears!

I've had your internet service since it came to Pittsburg Illinois,6 or 7 years ago. But i've about reach my limit,with you. We had pretty fair service the first part of Nov.2021,then something changed,it got down to download speeds of 2meg and upload speeds of less then 1meg. Now the tech that came out to check it out,with a bucket truck. Says there's nothing they can do for it because of the trees and line of sight, i could live with that,but explain to me it work good all summer and fall, with the leaves on the trees and now a 2 or less download speed on a 10meg package. As far as i know they haven't checked the line of site,off the top of the water tower. Not to many options from where were at for services,but if it like this by the time the payment due were done.( Still puzzled with what could have happen) Terry

I have had wisper internet service since around 2003 when I really needed faster service while doing web maintenance - I would literally up load some pictures, go cut the grass - 2-2.5 hours and still had pictures uploading when I returned. Their service has been phenomenal, In that time I have been down less than 20 times for any extended time - hours not days. Since I am rural I don't have a lot of options for internet service.
I only have one complaint - technical service - slow - unavailable at times. I understand the problem of why - just wish the availability and response time was better

The customer service is AMAZING, but I am paying for 10 mbps and my average download speed is only around 3 mbps, so it lags, especially when I'm online gaming or if my roommate and I are both streaming at once.

I have been very pleased with the service. At first it was rough because they we're just getting started! But after many phone calls everything worked out. When it went out I'd call and they would help me get it back on. It's been great lately. Thank you

Not the Wisper you once were. Sent emails in for tech support with no response. Ask for a better solution than the 900Mhz radio and no better option provided for the Troy area. Now using Spectrum which I dislike but at least we have somewhat reliable connectivity.

We were getting slower speeds than we were paying for.Tech came out and changed equipment on outside of house and we were good to go.

I have been with Wisper ISP since 2009. It was a choice to support a local business in a small town, recommended by my Dad.
It has been a very good service, with a daily SPAM filter to catch the "iffy" stuff for me to check safely.
I have to admit that I was annoyed when I got messages about my storage space was about to run out. But I came around finally. There is no need for me to keep over 10 years of email - so I have the habit now of "pruning" the never-ending growing of incoming email. It is much cleaner.
