Fantastic service from Lewis Battersby at Wilford Smith Solicitors. I've never been in trouble with the police before or even stepped inside a police station. So to be put in a cell for 12 hours was pretty traumatic. Then Lewis arrived and took control in a very professional Manor. He calmed me down and reassured me that everything was going to be alright. He then went through everything with me and advised me clearly. I just had to tell the truth and put my side of the story across and everything would be okay and it was. I can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you Lewis.

We found Wilford Smith efficient and easy to deal with. Any queries we had were answered promptly and we were extremely pleased with the service we received throughout the conveyancing process.

I was asked by Molo (my lender) to appoint this company. What a nightmare. My solictor is jacqui Dyer, the request was started in Dec 2023, it has been 3-4 months now, it is horrible that i can never ever reach out to jacqui and the blue team via phone call in these 4 months, only one of my email queries was answered. Most horrible is the reception said no one in the whole company is available to pick up the call. I think it is their standard script, i told her I got no ideas about the progress of my two properties for four months and I have no idea about the while process, no one briefed me ever since I made the payment!!!!!
Received the search report from lms, again I have no idea what LMS is responsible, anyone will look at the search report for me, I suspect there have to be further follow up, but no one guide me through…
It liked a dark hole, both landlords are complaining to withdraw the deal!

I was recommended this company through a mortgage broker and they were nothing but unprofessional from stat to finish. Sending me a new email every time they contacted me, made it impossible to keep track of where we were and hard to back track to find information. On a few occasions the person handling the case went on annual leave and there was no one left to work on it in their absence. They sent me forms to fill in that looked like a 5 year old had typed them. The whole process was made over 4 weeks longer by their lack of professionalism.

They are responsible, experts of their field, ready to answer questions any time. Wilford Smith are a great conveyancing legal firm to help with all your property needs but they have a few teething problems which if they fix they would get 5 stars for me. We were first time buyers so the experience for us was super important. I would describe their performance in two halves. First half they were brilliant, speedy, informative. Second half they had a few people leave and that's where the problems started, things were not explained well to first time buyers, junior members of staff where given the account to provide information which confusing and at times incorrect, thank god for the steady hand of Victoria and Paul to steady the ship. All in all it was a good experience but a bit frustrating towards the end. If they can sort those small teething problems then there will be nothing stopping them!

We sold a leasehold flat in London and instructed Wilford Smith as our conveyancer. They appeared to be the cheapest quote from a comparison site. After speaking to the sales adviser and getting answers to all our questions we decided to go ahead with them. The communication was excellent from the outset. We were informed of the progress throughout the process and did not need to wait longer than 24hrs for responses. They clearly had the experience of representing leasehold flat sales. The process played out to be exactly how they anticipated with documents being sent to us to either read or complete in advance of each stage. Our final bill came to around £40 more than they originally quoted due to large transfers needed to multiple recipients which is understandable. We were able to exchange contracts within a days notice and received the proceeds of the sale on completion day. Fantastic service at great value and would highly recommend. A huge thanks to Dayathrie who communicated with us mostly and made us feel confident about the process.

Our purchase fell through to no fault of Wilford Smith, so we didn't exchange. But the experience we had with Wilford Smith through the onboarding and the searches stage was unsatisfactory. The onboarding dragged on, we had no updates from them. Any update we had was as a result of us reaching out to them about something. Any question we asked (and we didn't ask many) resulted in vague answers so it took days of back and forth to get the actual answer we asked for. It really felt like our appointed solicitor was just clearing out his inbox, but he had no time to read them or look at our file. Our last question about what we paid for has been unanswered for two weeks now. We surely won't use them again.
Edit: I didn't write this to get a resolution. We've moved on. I wrote this to let potential customers know.

All the staff we came into contact with were cheerful, friendly and really helpful. At our first meeting Nick Pack guided us through the process of conveyancing so that it was easy to understand. Subsequently, anything that arose was easily dealt with over the phone.
On the day we were exchanging contracts a slight hiccup occurred due to a misunderstanding, but a quick phone call with Victoria Davis sorted it out and the exchange was completed before lunchtime. Thank you for making a stressful process easy.
