Our adventure to the Faroes, to celebrate our 70th birthdays, had to be postponed for a year (surgery), but Emma smoothly rearranged the itinerary, deposit and all, to June/July 2024……And what an adventure we have just had! Hiking with personal guides, delicious packed lunches, superb meals in residents' homes, and luxurious accommodation in hotels and guest houses meant that we were interacting with local people every day. We explored most of the islands in a hired car, with a two-day stay on Suduroy by ferry from Torshavn. Among so many wonderful destinations, the Vestmanna boat trip was exhilarating, the guided day on Kalsoy strenuous but glorious, and and the hiking on Mykines with our lovely guide, Oda, was a spectacular end to our holiday, with thousands of puffins everywhere! Emma was available at all times and responded to queries immediately and efficiently, we couldn't have asked for more personal service.
This was supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime - and it succeeded 100% - but the taste for adventure has whetted our appetite….the Northern Lights are beckoning….and we wouldn't dream of heading that far north with anyone but Emma's passionate team at Where the Wild Is!

My very first time to the Faroe Islands (between 8-16/5) and so far it was the best solo travelling experience in my life. Emma was extremely and wholeheartedly helpful, and went down to details in planning for my trip whilst accommodating my needs. The spots she recommended were scenically mind-blowing! The trip to Mykines by a local guide (Oda Anderson) recommended by her was also excellent!

All in all, just professional and made my journey a memorable one!

Me and my father wanted to see the Northern Lights in Norway but had little idea of where to go or, what to do. Emma was an incredible source of knowledge and was able to provide us with several options, none of which we would have easily been able to come by had we done this ourselves. We ended up staying at the tranquil Aurora Cabins situated at the foot of the Lygen Alps and we did manage to see the Northern Lights!

Emma also included a detailed itinerary and a clear, easy-to-manage list of relevant travel documents/vouchers through the Vamoos app which was very useful and made it effortless for us to explore Tromso and the surrounding areas. When we had a flight delay, Emma was available to help us plan alternative ways to reach Oslo. She even suggested we try and get the money back for the flights, which prompted us to try and, we successfully did!

All in all, our trip to Tromso and the Lyngen Alps was a huge success and will live long in our memories, this was all thanks to the deeply researched options presented by the team at Where The Wild Is. Thank you team, we'll be back :-)

The use of the Vamoos app is a great idea with all your holiday information on one handy app which was continually updated by Emma whilst we were away ensuring we had all the latest information regarding organised tours. We had a fantastic trip to Norway in January, arranged by Suzel. Suzel provided great customer service from my first call with her, to when I had a question for her during the trip. Everything was arranged perfectly, and the accommodation and activities recommended were fab ! Hoping to book another trip soon!

We had a fabulous time on a trip to Tromso and Svalbard, arranged for us by Where The Wild Is. The holiday really couldn't have been better. Where the Wild Is tailor holidays to suit the holidaymaker, rather than pushing certain trips or tours, and as a result the customer gets exactly the holiday they want. Customer service is excellent with people on hand to answer queries big or small and it is clear that the employees have first hand experience of the countries they arrange holidays to. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Emma was so helpful and gave a really personal service and built the perfect trip. Everything went to plan. We loved the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Our experience of being in the Arctic was such a special one. Definitely a bucket list trip that did not disappoint in any way. Seeing a spectacular Aurora display on New Year’s Day, on the middle of a frozen lake, was the icing on the cake.

Ordered a about 10 days ago, didn’t quite work on me as the scent and my sweatiness didn’t combine well. Excellent customer service ! They replied to my concern within 5min, never happens with any other companies. Great work guys, wish you prosperity!
