The CodeNation Develop Coding course is a great introduction into Web Development. Whether you are completely new to coding or have some insight, it’s a brilliant wa lay to develop your skills in lots of ways, from coding in Python and creating a text based game in a small team, to developing your own website using html and css. You’ll learn lots of other skills along the way too, team work, communication, individuality, maths, English and employability all play a big part in this short but extensive 3 week course! I couldn’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to enrol in the Master 12 week course!

I was a complete beginner to coding when I started the Code Nation Master Coding course - I had just used some free online resources to teach myself the (very) basics. I was nervous that I would struggle to keep up but the lectures and activities were pitched at beginner level, getting more complex over the weeks. The tutors were very approachable and helpful.
I really enjoyed working with the other students on group projects, particularly as the course was all online due to Covid so group projects gave us a chance to get to know each other.
In summary, the Code Nation course was challenging but a great experience, and exactly 3 weeks after finishing it, I accepted a job offer in tech.

We learned how to construct the foundation of a website, using coding skills. The teacher was very supportive and took us through the course very well, and gave us good feedback.

Totally enjoyed my 3 weeks with codenation, Liam and Ayesha were incredible they made everything easy to take in.
Would definately recommend codenation to anyone wanting to learn to code and I can't wait to start my next course.

The training was very simple to follow, and, at the same time, really empowered us to grow in our skills very quickly. I was very surprised at the progress I made on
the subject in such a short period of time! In fact, I was able to create a game and my own website, all of this in just three weeks! The teaching was delightful, fun,
engaging, informative, and absolutely passionate. It felt really empowering!
I also particularly loved the fact that the course was paired with employability
focused sessions and meetings, it really motivated me to build a proper IT-focused CV and to connect on Linkedin to expand my possibilities in the future. Furthermore they offer you the opportunity to be added to a Talent Portal! This highlights the effort
of this company in striving to fill the gap between education and
employability, I felt really taken care of by this company, they really seem to have a special care about their students’ education, employability, and future.

Moreover, I really loved that the
human side of things was always present and acknowledged. It is such a well made course! I feel so lucky,
privileged and grateful to have come across this training company, and this course!

The 3-week develop course was exactly what I needed to begin my journey from teaching to technology.
My instructor Liam was brilliant and explained everything in a way that I could understand.
I was able to create my own game in python and then go on to develop a portfolio website using html and css.
After reaching out to various other staff throughout my time on the course, I was given valuable insight into the industry and presented with multiple opportunities to meet new connections.
I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to take the first steps towards a career in tech.

I recently completed Codenation’s master course and I’d definitely recommend to everyone I can. The course was brilliantly structured, really easy to follow, and the team are very helpful and knowledgeable. This was a great course that introduced me to coding as a beginner. The teachers Will and Leon were very helpful. After finishing this course I now have essential coding skills that can benefit me in the future.

I am a junior web Devoloper now because of #CodeNation thanks to Jay for his help and support throughout the course and the rest of the family at #wearecodenation I have been able to understand a lot of the background work that goes into developing websites and the front side too of what actually goes in to web development, web programming. A few weeks ago If you said to me what is Html, CSS, VSC, python or even how to do a flow chart then i would have looked back at you and be like??? But now I have a website on GitHub. I am working on developing my own App in the food industry which was my main source of income before . As the current situation seems to have put everything/everyone out of place with working circumstances even for myself. The time had come for me to access different avenues to be able to learn and adapt to new world of working on-line, specially with the covid19 going on and not being able to go out to work. I was guided through out the course by my mentor Jay I could ask him any questions even the stupid ones and he made sure I understood it thoroughly and the best thing for me was being able to go back to my course material and look at it again so I could understand it even better to complete my course work on time. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone , The code nation team are a great bunch of people in general, down to earth and humble people, being on the course helped my mental side too, through the this pandemic because I had interaction with people who I had a laugh with and worked hard as a team to solve problems in the course , we helped each other to achieve our goals, we created our own 2D game that worked, as a team It was something to look forward to every morning. I enjoyed it so much that it felt like the time just flew by. I have made really good friends out of the course who I will be meeting up with once lockdown is over. Again Thanks for the help #CodeNation. Forever grateful.

The three-week developer course was a great intro; it exceeded my expectations as I have used other providers in the past.

The course is an introduction, you will get out of it as much as you give, I have seen some of the negative reviews, but I couldn't fault it.

Excellent course. Learnt python, html and CSS. Explained really well, friendly tutor, I learnt a lot and really enjoyed the course. Great relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Covered a lot of ground in only 3 weeks. I really feel confident to enter the industry now. I recommend Code Nation to anyone who wants to get into coding.

Codenation care more about making money more then there students...the people teaching I can't fault them because there students them self's probably with about 1 - 2 years experience or like a year group older like if you were at school and the older kids teaching...which is not a easy thing to do as its a skill set within it self so no slight on them. Conning anit the word for how there getting public money of £800+ through the government to do there introductory 3 week courses an being online isnt a conducive way to teach either. Didn't even get a phone call from them after course to see my thoughts on the course etc etc, what a bag of shyite stay well away, like a previous reviewer stated all can be found on you tube plural etc. Thanks Codenation for leaving a horrible taste in my mouth!

This was my first time coding other in apps, I fond the whole course really informative and fun. It was a great expirence for it to be in a work enviroment over a classroom one. Even over Zoom and Slack my tutor Mike was very approachable and great at answering all our groups questions.

I really had an epiphany after joining the Code Nation courses, it was like everything that I was thought at school made a lot more sense with this course. In three weeks so much and was wonderful to have my mind refreshed with new possibilities.
So thank you Code Nation for this opportunity.

Dean and Jacob were fantastic.

I had the pleasure of studying at Code Nation for three months with Jacob and Dean in Manchester. I also had the displeasure of being bothered by the ‘Engagement Team’ when I said I wanted to go for a direct hire, I was relentlessly harassed to turn it into an apprenticeship. I repeatedly, and I mean repeatedly stated that I didn’t want to go on to an Apprenticeship as I didn’t want the hassle of the coursework etc, I just wanted to focus on development.

I had a fantastic 12 weeks with Jacob and Dean, they both showed so much care, attention and knowledge whilst dealing with the pressure that the ‘Engagement Team’ put on them at short notice.

If you are looking for outstanding teaching, then look no further than these two. I had the displeasure of being taught by another ‘Senior Instructor’ who didn’t seem to know what she was doing and quickly wanted the duo back, but as they were covering her class, we had to suffer it.

Tl;dr - Jacob and Dean are the best Code Nation have to offer. Other Instructors don’t come close, except Telmo. He’s brilliant but we didn’t see much of him as he was also covering the other ‘Senior Instructors’ classes.

As long as those three are there, Code Nation will thrive.

Avoid the harassment of the ‘Engagement Team’, the instructors will help with that.

When I started with CodeNation, I knew nothing about programming aside from maybe some scraps I had picked up from some YouTube tutorials.
Code was an indecipherable script to my eyes, but after the short 3 weeks I spent on their Develop course; I not only comprehend programming syntax, but I have a foundation of skills built that has allowed me to delve into other computer languages.

The classes were engaging and we learned at a very good pace, with the tutors covering the basics of a core coding concept and then giving us the freedom to experiment and research on our own. The workflow was good, the learning environment and schedule was nicely adapted to the "work from home" model. Our teachers were also very patient and would go over parts that the class was struggling on, or maybe experiencing errors with.

Feedback was prompt and very useful. By the end of the course, the projects I had developed as part of the coursework were things I could look back on with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Thanks to CodeNation, I can now move forward on my coding journey with confidence.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of learning with Code Nation. The level of teaching was exceptional. Thank you!
