I recently bought a Range Rover Evoque from John, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. As a young lady buying a car, I was a little nervous about the process, but John was incredibly helpful, patient and professional throughout.

He took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly and never made me feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. I really appreciated how approachable and genuine he was, which made the whole experience so much easier and more comfortable.

JOHN & the team were communicative and couldn’t do more to help. The whole process was easily managed and they took care of everything.

I recently bought a Fiat 500 from this garage and, unfortunately, shortly after driving the car home, the engine warning light came on and the car went into limp mode. Naturally, I was quite worried, but the way the garage dealt with the situation completely reassured me.

As soon as I contacted them, they were extremely helpful and reassuring. They arranged for a courtesy car to be delivered the very next day and collected my car to take it back to the garage. They quickly identified the issue and had their mechanic fix it without any fuss.

I also mentioned that I was having concerns with the radio connection, and they went above and beyond by fitting a completely new radio and aerial for me. Throughout the whole process, they kept me regularly updated and were professional, friendly and genuinely helpful.

They also changed the original one-month warranty to a three-month warranty to give me some extra reassurance, which I really appreciated and thought was a fantastic gesture.

A special mention to John, who sold me the car and was fantastic from the start, and Fraser, the manager, who provided excellent after-sales care and made sure everything was dealt with properly.

Buying a used car can be stressful when something goes wrong so soon after purchase, but the way this garage handled everything really gave me confidence that I had bought from the right place. They went above and beyond to put my mind at ease, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or consider buying from them again in the future.

I dealt with John in part exchanging my Audi A4 for a 2015 Subaru WRX STi. The process was easy and no stress whatsoever. John helped me with a couple of requests I had regarding the car and the handover was easy too.

Would recommend vortex cars to anybody.

Avoid this company like the plague.
I purchased a vehicle through Vortex in November 2024 and within just two weeks I broke down on the motorway due to overheating and coolant loss. The vehicle was still under warranty and was taken to a garage chosen by Vortex, where I was told the head gasket had been repaired. The car then remained in the garage from December until February.
Since then, the same issues have continued — overheating, coolant loss, and breakdowns. I was advised by my finance company to return to the same garage and ended up spending even more money on repairs, which they suggested could be related to the original issue.
The vehicle has now been in the garage 6 times since purchase and has once again broken down with suspected head gasket failure. The latest mechanic even questioned whether the repair had ever actually been completed.
I repeatedly asked for invoices and proof of the repairs and have email evidence of the dealership apologising for delays and promising to send them, but they never did.
This vehicle was clearly never fit for purpose and my consumer rights have not been upheld. I’ve been left paying a large finance agreement on a car that has caused constant stress, dangerous situations, and emotional distress from almost the point of sale.

I have avoided writing a review in the hope of some resolution but they have repeatedly ignored both myself and the finance company, they have made it so difficult to gain any evidence other than email trails originally.

Dealt with John, explained everything clearly. No pressure on anything, arranged test drive and dealt with the purchase efficiently. Great experience all round
