Best Value for Learning how to Sing!
I have been taking private lessons with Carla Newland at AM Vocal Studios for about three months and the progress I have made still shocks me. Carla has helped me discover my voice (I never thought I could sing!). Her lessons are practical (part practice exercise, part singing) and perfect for people like me that just want to learn how to sing. Thank you Carla and AM Vocal Studios. Excellent Vocal Coach
Carla Newland has been an excellent vocal teacher and coach. I have no previous singing experience other than singing happy birthday. Even at 69 years old, with no singing experience, I find that I'm able to learn how to sing. You just need someone like Carla to teach and coach you along your journey. Carla has been very patient and helpful teaching me how to sing. I've learned how to breath properly and how to control my singing voice by learning how to control facial muscles, mouth and lips. Thanks to Carla, I have more confidence in singing out loud now. I'm not as embarrassed as I was before we started our lessons. I feel that Carla has provided me with the necessary beginning steps to learn to be a better singer. I would recommend Carla to anyone trying to learn to sing.

Belu has been incredibly positive and informative with her coaching! I just wish we could receive more training or one on ones! Her classes push me to try new experiences and have more conviction in my voice. Carla is also an incredible coach, so very technical and insightful within the world of vocal coaching. Both different styles, but both push you to take your ability further than what you could have imagined

I can't say enough good about my…
I can't say enough good about my experience with my vocal coach, Belu! I have gone from being afraid to sing in front of people to now feeling way more confident to sing in front of people and that alone has made it all worth it.
Belu has a warm, friendly, accepting, and fun personality and her teaching methods and knowledge of what I need to work on has been invaluable.

Belu is very attuned to each students weaknesses. I have been given instruction that has made my singing more natural. I sing professionally and as I have aged I have found difficulties arise. Belu has continued to address each problem. Thank you.

I was incredulous...
Honestly, I was somewhat incredulous when considering whether to sign up for this program; however, I related to Adam’s personal testimony so I decided to give it a go. I concluded that it was worth an investment in myself and my voice, as I use my voice regularly for personal and public singing. Years ago, I had done some vocal training and had seen some small improvements in range and tone, but had lost it over the years. With a month or so of Adam’s program I’ve experienced improvement in my lower range (from A2 down to F2), higher range (from D4 to E4 chest voice and from E5 to F5 head voice), tone, pitch accuracy, support and overall confidence. Of great importance is that I’ve learned to accept, embrace and improve the resonance of my upper range in which I was not confident before.
I’ve completed the 1st 6 personal lessons over Zoom and many of the vocal exercises from the App—you do have to put in the work! My voice used to get so tired because I was singing wrong! Now, I am relaxed and singing much more effortlessly. I still have much to work on, but am encouraged by the results so far. It is true to say that there are things vocally we can work on to improve our singing—it just doesn't all come naturally to everyone. Just as in other disciplines, there are those who are naturals and those who have to work at it. I guess I’m the latter.

Value, support, inclusiveness, knowledge
This course has given me techniques to improve my voice in ways I wasn't able to before. More importantly, it has provided the support and guidance I needed to ensure I actually use them; then provided regular feedback to ensure I'm adopting the techniques correctly (key point).
Being able to work with multiple coaches (by varying my lesson days) is very helpful. It means I receive feedback across a wide range from slightly different perspectives, providing more value and better results.
The coaches I have worked with (Adam, Belu & Carla) absolutely know what they are doing. Thank you so much to all three of you for your encouraging and knowledgeable support!

Private lessons
I did the private lessons with Kateryna and had an awesome experience! I have a lot of anxiety singing, and her welcoming and encouraging presence was perfect. I also LOVED her descriptions of how to channel and support the breath - I'm such a visual learner that it really helped. I got a ton out of these sessions! My only comments about the experience were aspects of scheduling and signing up - I was a bit confused with the associated learning platform, and limited in available timing of thes sessions (early morning is not my singing shine time - but that's the down side of connecting with international instructors with a TON of experience and wisdom.) Overall, I've loved my experience.

Never too late
I have never had formal vocal lessons before, and in fact, never even considered it until recently at 44 years old. Prakhar Saxena did a great job at helping me visualize “moving my voice” and he implemented a variety of exercises to help improve my support. As a result, I grew more confident in my vocal ability and also learned how to strengthen my mixed voice register. For anyone on the fence, I can attest that this program is effective even for a very new beginner, and most importantly, it’s never too late to learn something new.

For the past four months
For the past four months, I've thoroughly enjoyed my singing classes. All the coaches, especially Kateryna, Carla, and Belu, are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They provide insightful feedback, helpful tips, and practical techniques that have improved my diction, vocal abilities, and even my posture. Their supportive approach has made me feel welcome, significantly reduced my shyness, and allowed me to truly embrace the joy of singing. I have been singing and acting and…
I have been singing and acting and doing accents since I was very young but never really had formal lessons and am finding just the tweeks in technique so very helpful to really put the shine on the natural talen that I possessed all along. Carla is just terrific as a human and coach and is so knowledgable. I am so pleased I undertook this adventure.

I have never had Vocal Lessons before…
I have never had Vocal Lessons before and have enjoyed the Semi-Private Weekly lessons with Belu. It's great to have immedate feedback with a vocal couch with exercises in the beginning of the lessons and now measured metrics of exercises for progression. This includes pitch tests and vocal ranges. It's a joy coming to the coaching sessions and have a group that one can grow with. Its been a great experience.

Coach Belu Garcia
Belu Garcia has been my coach. I cannot say enough about her. In addition to making my singing voice many times better than it was, she have taken my confidence from a 0 to at least a 6 or a 7.. and for someone who has NEVER sang in front of anyone before, that's huge. I dreaded this course in the beginning, especially the idea of singing in front of people I don't know and having to post videos of myself. Now I find myself searching for new songs to sing and record and post, and actually looking forward to making my "car karaoke" videos :)
I'm not sure how many group classes I have left with you (I know it's not many), and i'm very sad at the prospect of not meeting with her on a weekly basis anymore... but I can't say enough how much I have enjoyed her as a coach! Anyone reading this who is wondering if it's worthwhile. It 100% is! Belu Garcia is absolutely fantastic!

Belu at AM Vocal Studios
I enjoy singing but I was not very good at it. With the help of Belu and the group lessons at AM Vocal Studios I've increased my range and confidence. My tone has dramatically improved and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Belu is kind and patient and explains techniques while providing feedback. I also find the group lessons to be helpful since I can practice techniques Belu is covering with other students.
