Amazing customer service
My very expensive Nikon binoculars were deemed too old and obsolete to service by Nikon themselves, but the repair department at Viking were able to completely refurbish and repair them. Just some of the things they did were to give an internall clean and realign, and put new body rubber on, provide new rubber eyecups and they even threw in a new strap and eyecup protector.
But not only was the actual repair amazing, the customer service was faultless too. They rang me at every stage, let me know what was going on, exactly how much it would cost (peanuts compared to the cost of replacing the binoculars with like quality), and when all was signed off, they got the product back to me the very next day.
Every person in the repair department that I spoke to was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and sympathetic.
I was absolutely thrilled to get my like-new binoculars back and could not recommend Viking more highly.

Great showroom in Halesworth
Visited the showroom in Halesworth where there is a large range of binolculars from various manufacturers. Although I went along with a preferred model in mind, I could try them against other makes/models and be sure that my choice was correct. (Other retailers have a far more limited choice on display in my experience.) Their stock levels seem good too so you can probably go away with what you came for rather than having to wait for it to be ordered. Prices good too.
Jack in the shop was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Really helpful from start to finish, Titchwell to home, great repair job, even supplied a new strap gratis!
Only reason not 5 stars is because DHL delivery just left package on the doorstep without it being signed for which was part of the deal!

Trustworthy optics repair and refurbishing service
Just received my 26 year old Viking binoculars back, repaired and refurbished to a very high standard. The customer service throughout the process has been excellent, courteous and informative. I’ve no doubt my binoculars will last another 26 years, hope I’ll still be using them then!

Excellent binoculars for a newbie (RSPB Skylark® 8 x 42) and super-helpful staff (particular thanks to Edward from their repair team).
They sent a new rubber eyepiece cap immediately when it arrived slightly damaged and also gave me useful info about how to set up the binos and attach the strap.

When I first bought the binoculars I was amazed at the quality of vision and how much more I could see. I was also impressed with how easy to was to purchase the binoculars and speedily they were delivered. When a double image fault developed I was gutted but contacted customer service and received a prompt response. I was reassured and given careful instructions on returning the binoculars for repair. The binoculars were returned to me as good as new, if not better! And the cost was covered by the warranty. If only all businesses were as good as this. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Repaired binoculars.
First contact with the company was wonderful. Lady on the phone pleasant and very knowledgeable about repairs needed for my RSPB binoculars. Sent them away for assessment with info that it would be a week until they were looked at, and any repairs at this time of year to be approx 4-6 weeks. The whole process, from sending my binoculars by post, was completed in just over a fortnight, and I now have my binoculars back and fully repaired. Thank you Viking for excellent communication and an overall amazing experience with your company.

My Swallow 50 was badly damaged after…
My Swallow 50 was badly damaged after falling over while attached to a tripod. I returned it to RSPB Pulborough where I had purchased it from and they sent it back to Viking. 2 weeks later I received a call from the RSPB to say it was ready for collection. Viking had given me a new replacement Swallow 50 telescope free of charge. I cannot commend Viking highly enough for such great service. Thank you. Sylfan Hammond ref 6161 Halesworth
Quick turn a round.
Had a problem with the leg of my Swallow tripod. Spoke to Edward and then returned (the out of warranty) leg at 14:15 on the 10/2 at 11:15 on the 13/2 the leg was back with me after a FOC repair. Out standing service from Viking once again.
