Ordered two caps

Ordered two caps. One was correct and one was wrong. The mistake was on me.
Vinci was respectful and nice.
He got me a new cap asap.
Recommend Vinci for anything.

Thanks for the review, and I want to respond honestly rather than just apologize.

On the spelling, I pulled your order from our system. The name submitted at checkout was "Haye" (without the final S), and the cap was produced exactly to that spec. The order confirmation email you received from us at the time of order shows the same. So while I understand the frustration of receiving a cap that doesn't have your full name on it, the missing S happened at the checkout entry, not at our production line.

Despite the order being correct to the spec submitted, I did offer a remake of the corrected "Hayes" cap with a small $15 production fee contribution from you (with us covering the rest of the cost plus shipping). That offer is still on the table and the remake can be in production the same day you confirm. We don't typically remake custom-embroidered orders for free when the original was made to spec, but I want to meet you partway.

We respond to every customer who writes in. If you've felt unheard, please reply to my email on this thread or write directly to support@veteranstitch.com and I'll take care of you personally. The corrected cap is one $15 confirmation away.

I ordered and received the hat

I ordered and received the hat, however, it took quite a long time to get here and instead of saying NAVY, it was emblazoned with ARMY. I have sent a couple of e-mails in hopes of getting it replaced /exchanged or even reimbursed, so far no response. I thought the price was fair, I think the quality of the product was good for the price, but apparently there is no quality assurance in the place if they are letting products leave embroidered wrong.

Be Leery Folks!

Ordered a cap that was featured on their advertisement and received a cap that doesn’t even look the same! I contacted their support a month ago, still no response! Be leery of this outfit folks! I’m not sure if these caps are made in USA.

Thanks for the review, and I want to respond to each point you raised honestly.

On the support silence: You're right, and there's no excuse for a month without a reply. We're a small operation and ran into a backlog stretch, but that's on us to fix, not on you to absorb. I'm sorry no one got back to you when you needed it.

On the cap not matching the advertisement: This is a real and recurring issue we need to address. Our product listings use flat vector mockups that show every detail of a design crisply at digital resolution. But when the same design is converted to actual embroidery on a curved cap front, fine detail compresses because embroidery has hard physical limits (stitch density, thread thickness, smallest readable text size). The cap we ship is always going to look softer than the listing image. That's a transparency problem on our listing side, not on yours for trusting what you saw.

On whether the caps are made in USA: No, they're not. Our caps are produced overseas, in Vietnam, by our embroidery partner there. We're not US-based manufacturers and we don't claim to be. If "made in USA" is important to you, this isn't the right brand. There are veteran-owned, US-based embroidery shops that do offer that.

If you'd like to actually resolve your specific cap issue, please email support@veteranstitch.com or reply on the existing email thread. I'll personally pick up your case and offer a path forward (remake, partial refund, or whatever fits the situation). You shouldn't be left without a resolution after waiting a month.

Failed quality control and worse customer service

I received my order in about three weeks. Quality was ok but the word “Retired” was missing from the cap bill. I notified Veteran Stitch and customer service said they would get right on it and get it to me with the added wording on the bill. Numerous emails and a customer service ticket over several months failed to get this resolved. Apparently they are ok with very poor customer service after failed quality controls. Would never order again. Don’t make promises you never intend to keep.

The quality onf the hat was below par

The quality onf the hat was below par. The logo on front was not readable, the front logo was crooked and the name was on the side not the back. I will not order again nor recommend anyone to buy your product.

Nonexistent customer service

The hat arrived and it is beautiful and of high quality. However there is one problem it is not how I ordered it the years of service for my 93 year old Father should have been 1951-1955 the hat read 1972-1975. It’s now been three weeks. I’ve put in two support tickets and one customer support email and haven’t heard anything from the company until this request for a review.

I love what Veteran Stitch is doing

I love what Veteran Stitch is doing and I love the variety of products. Three of the four-custom stitched hats that I purchased look great. Not fully satisfied with the "red" hat. The color is a lot lighter than I anticipated. Although I haven't worn the red hat, I can tell you that the dye for the blue hat comes off on your head and fingers. I would buy again.

My husband loved the hat

My husband loved the hat. It took awhile to get, but it did get here before Christmas. My only negative about the hat is that the front patch was ironed on and the heat was too hot and it melted the patch threads.

Do not order from this company!!!

You sent me 2 caps that were messed up. You responded you would make it right and haven’t heard anything from you since! I see on FB your under different names now. I would not trust this company, Do not buy from!!!

The item is not what is advertised

The item is not what is advertised. I have reached out to Danny in support and after one email, he stopped answering my emails and they will not fix the problem. No refund, no exchanged for correct item. They have great communication during the order process. But then they will not answer your emails, after you receive the item and it's not what they advertised.

Miss labeled wrong size T-shirt

Dear veteran stitch,

I finally received my T-shirt Order# VIN-5942 and it looks great. The only problem is it’s a size too small. Apparently it is a large T-shirt with a XL sticker. I need a true XL. Is there anything we can do about it?
