From the start the sales executive made us feel welcome and put at ease. I am not a huge fan of the car buying experience but as usual at Vertu the team were professional, courteous and there was no pressure applied to purchase a car. Peter Fisher the sales executive was very patient in explaining the features of the car and all the boring paperwork associated with a car purchase. I was particularly impressed when picking up the new car another salesman (Paul) came over to say that there was a service package coming on stream in a few days and I could take advantage of this saving me over £400.00 on service costs.

I bought a nearly new Inster 02 from Vertu Hyundai Exeter this week. From start to finish the process was seamless. Paul arranged for me to test drive the vehicle. It was the first time I had bought an EV and he was very helpful in explaining everything I needed to know about EV vehicles. He was very friendly, no pressure sales and I felt completely confident in buying from this dealership. I would definitely recommend Hyundai Exeter and the car is fabulous!

From the moment I contacted the Garage I was booked for a test drive at the time I wanted, no hard sales techniques telling me what I should buy.
Swift service from test drive to purchase and checked in after sale to confirm all remained good with the car.

Absolutely fantastic. The service I received was the best on offer from all the garage I visited in the area. Great customer service, refreshments offered, and a great range of new and used cars to explore! Highly recommend a visit to these guys!

From the initial phone call until part exchanging for a virtually new car, the whole experience at vertu Hyundai Exeter was a great experience. Car salesman Daniel Butler was a pleasure to do business with and they even phoned a few days after purchasing to make sure we were pleased with our purchase. The price was great, the experience was 1st class, would definitely recommend them as a car retailer.

The service I received was professional and informed at all times and I was really impressed with this level of attention. My knowledge of cars is not as extensive as it could be but at no time did I feel unable to ask questions or that the sales person had limited time to explain the various features to me.

I had a blocked rear washer on my car, which is just over a year old. Naturally, I wanted this done under warranty but was informed on booking that the repair might not be covered and quoted an estimated price. I was surprised the work wasn’t done under warranty considering the car’s age but their credit, they charged about half the quoted price.
The work and service I received on the day was fine, waiting area, free coffee etc and thankfully a nearby bus into town so at least I could go shopping whilst waiting, but I can’t compare the price with other garages as Vertu didn’t provide me with a list of non-warranty repairs at booking. If they had, I would have got an alternative local quote and potentially not had to drive 60 miles for a repair that I felt should have been under warranty, but that was my risk.
To be honest, I would’ve valued this information more than having Vertu‘s engineer do a video of my car telling me the vehicle check on my still relatively new vehicle was fine.

Andy Hallums made my Hyundai part exchange quick, simple and easy. Very efficient and friendly service. Andy made sure my new car was in excellent condition, took me through the controls, set up the Hyundai app for me, I cannot recommend Hyundai Exeter or Andy high enough. It felt a very personal experience.

I have always had good experiences with this company and found the staff friendly and really helpful including Aaron and Ellie. However when discussing returning the car the valuation I was given was£1700 lower than online. The lady I dealt with was lovely but had to refer to a colleague several times who was seated only meters away but never came over. I’d described the car as average and told it was being valued £1700 less because 2 of the 4 services had been carried out late. There are two marks which average takes into account. It needed work to pass the MOT but that totalled £1000 so how does this justify a total lower value of £2700?!? Even after the works it is still £1700 less than online! Both late services were due to them not having slots available. Be warned you need to book in for a service usually 2 months in advance. They penalise you later but don’t warn you about it. Felt really disappointed as had always had good things to say about this garage. Needless to say I won’t be going back for a new car with them! Thank you to Ellie for sorting the MOT so quickly.
