We have nothing but praise for Daniel and Cameron who handled our new car purchase perfectly and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to change their car.
This would have been a five star recommendation but for the Hyundai Finance/Accounts poor handling of our final payment not being finalised for over 2 weeks causing us to collect our new car 3 days later than promised

Danny talked through everything and chatted away during my test drive.
Phone calls and emails were answered quickly, with any questions I had answered.
The pick up took a bit longer than I had expected but I was kept informed what was happening.

Made the whole process of buying a car easy from start to finish without any pressure to buy.

Very poor customer service.
Initially when interest was shown in the car, service was prompt and efficient. Once a deposit was paid there was little to no communication. They were asked a number of times to send paperwork in buyers name which they took 4 days to do.When payment was made there was no confirmation of receipt.
Very poor service and would definitely not recommend this garage to anyone. Even the delivery driver stated how poor the communication was and he was shocked by their lack of service.

I bought a car from this dealership, which broke down on my journey home after collecting it.
Took nearly a week to get refunded my money.
There were mistakes all throughout this transaction,starting from how much the vehicle actually cost,to my details getting mixed up with another customer to get my refund.

Only reason the refund happened after 6 days, was because they had quickly patched up the faulty car and sold it to some other poor customer.

Looking back,i wasn't allowed to take the car on a test drive on a dual carriageway.(did they know it was faulty?) I had to stick to streets of 30mph.
I never received any sincere apology.
Just got told "these things happen "

So to sum up,i am out of pocket for cancellation fees for insurance,road tax and trips back and forth from the dealership.
No compensation offered.

The usual customer service reply will follow of course,thanks for taking time to leave feedback etc etc.
The bottom line is,it's just not good enough.
I don't really leave reviews,but feel that if I can save someone else from this experience that will be a good thing.
Never again!
Go elsewhere.

2My experience with Vertu, bought a Hyundai Tuscon in September 2024. After seven weeks warning light came on, checked handbook, not sure i could drive so phoned Service department, told can't look at car for six weeks,"I replied I can't not have a car for six weeks!", told it's six weeks, asked if i could speak to someone in service, did not mean right away, just looking for advice on car being safe to drive, told no you can't, told to search online and operator hung up. Luckily found a youtube video and fixed myself.
So 6000 miles, a 14 months later, wind noise and water coming in drivers door soaking carpet, phoned Service, cant be looked at for seven weeks, here we go again, explained in seven weeks I'm sure we will get more rain, spoke to Sales Manager, the date can't be changed as still dealing with Covid backlogs!
Cant believe they have no capacity to deal with urgent service issues!

So posted this on Wednesday, got a response from Vertucustomerexperience within 12 minutes and my issue would be passed to someone in the management team who would contact me.
Nearly two days later have not heard from anyone! I wonder when someone will get in touch, meanwhile i'm hoping it does not rain

Noe our salesman went the extra mile at seafield hyundai and the car has everything in place ie lock nut book pack etc when delivered to our home also set up service plan too.My wife is disabled and is exempt from paying road tax and the Dunfermline branch insisted we pay up front then claim it back for as it was company policy when we tried to buy the car there so no empathy for disabled people it seems .Noe taxed the car at edinburgh in less than a minute so Dunfermline lost the sale. CEO needs to kick butt as we could have bought elsewhere so 10 out of 10 to seafield, Noe is a very polite, helpful and friendly salesperson, would highly recommend to family and friends.

I am honestly shocked at how badly I have been treated by Vertu Motors.

I purchased a brand new car, expecting professional service and basic consumer support. Instead, when the vehicle turned out to be faulty from the outset, I was met with nothing but resistance, denial, and appalling behaviour from management.

The service from management has been nothing short of disgusting. Rather than taking responsibility for a brand new vehicle that clearly wasn’t fit for purpose, they repeatedly tried to deflect, delay and dismiss the issue.

To make matters worse, I was lied to on multiple occasions. I was given conflicting information, false assurances, and promises that were never honoured. Each time I followed up, the story changed.

Most concerning of all, a director even sent an email containing what I can only describe as veiled threats. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the tone was intimidating and completely inappropriate for someone in that position.

I was also promised compensation as a resolution — yet nothing has been delivered. No follow-through, no accountability, no integrity.

This entire experience has been stressful, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. When you buy a brand new car, you expect reliability and support. With Vertu Motors, I received neither.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to think very carefully.

i was looking to purchase a new mobility car for the first time, I contacted Vertu motors in Edinburgh East for help in getting a new Hyundai, Where i was welcomed with a smile and hanshake from Alan Addison and a coffee from sales. who helped me through every stage of the application process, i was made to feel very welcome and in a very relaxed warm atmosphere, the process was very, quick filling out all application forms, 15 minutes to be exact. Alan stuck with me in a very professional friendly way from the very start to completion and i had a brand new Hyundai Tucson N-line in 4 days, what a brilliant service, and i would highly recommend Vertu Edinburgh East and Alan to anyone who needs a mobility car. you wont be dissapointed i totally enjoyed my experience with them.

Great service from start to finish. Our salesman , Alan , was very helpful , friendly , knowledgeable and answered all my random questions ! He quickly found a car with all my requirements and within my budget and talked us through all the paperwork at a good pace !The car was fully valeted , tankful of petrol and ready to go within days of completion .

Rodger the salesman exceptional from start to finish, wife very nervous changing to automatic, explained everything to her and made her feel at ease on test drive.

Alan Addison was very knowledgeable and helpful, as I live on the west coast he kept in touch via email, sending me videos of the car and answering questions. On the day the changeover was smooth and enjoyable. And the car is fantastic, all in all a wonderful experience.

Simon was great throughout the process and even arranged to hand the car over at a different site that was more convenient for me.

Alan was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and understood what are requirements. We felt well looked after and the process of purchasing the vehicle was painless.
