In January 2024 I bought a new Dacia Duster from Vertu, Leicester. On 22nd March 2026 it developed an electrical fault and was misfiring. It is still under warranty and only clocked 13,000 miles. I booked it in for repair at Leicester but was told the earliest repair slot was 8th June. I tried Dacia/Renault dealers in Tamworth, Derby and Burton but none of them could repair it any earlier. On 12th April it became undriveable, Dacia Assist (the RAC )attended but couldn’t repair it. The Leicester workshop refused to repair it before 8th June. The RAC took it to a storage yard on 29th April and I was supplied with an Enterprise hire car. On 9th June I rang the workshop to check on the progress of the repair. I was told that the RAC hadn’t delivered it and they didn’t know where my car was. I rang the storage yard, it was still there. I contacted the RAC and they stated that Dacia Leicester had told them not to deliver it as they hadn’t got the capacity to repair it. I later received a message to say my car had been booked in for repair at Vertu Renault Derby on the 29th July, 4 months after the first fault appeared and 3 months after it went into storage. I have received no help from Dacia Leicester. 10 calls to the workshop were unanswered and I was refused a courtesy car. I had to contact Dacia Customer Support line before I was supplied with a hire car after my car was put into storage. Very poor after sales service and an unsatisfactory experience.

Thank you Vertu Leicester for great service from start to finish. The salesman Viraj was pleasant and polite, and gave us comprehensive information about the vehicle with plenty of time to ask questions and take a good look around the car.
We were offered a good part exchange deal, and Viraj kept us informed throughout the delivery period.
Once arrived he gave us a thorough handover, explaining the many technical features of the car and reassured us that we can contact him with any queries at any point.
Overall very happy with the car and with Vertu. Thank you Vraj!

Bought a used Clio from Alex. It was my daughters 17th Birthday present and Alex was very friendly and helpful, paying attention to my daughter, making the process a pleasure and ensuring my daughter had a lovely experience on the day. I really appreciate this as these experiences are remembered for life so I would like to thank Alex personally for this. The dealership themselves were also very helpful and the car is immaculate so good job all round

RENAULT VERTU LEICESTER - What should have been a straightforward two-hour process to confirm whether our business was eligible for a car on a business lease turned into a seven-week ordeal. This involved over 17 phone calls, countless emails and texts, and ultimately ended with us being told the finance had been declined.
Even more frustrating, following this, we secured approval and ordered a car within a 30-minute call with another finance company.
Throughout this entire period, I was repeatedly told by Vertu —via phone, text and email—that the vehicle had been secured and was on its way to the dealership. This was simply not true. I have since discovered that no documentation had been submitted and no vehicle had been ordered at all.
In other words, I was consistently misled while being given false reassurance that everything was in hand.
What is equally disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. Despite the time wasted, the stress caused, and the clear failings on their part, the dealership did not feel it appropriate to offer even the smallest gesture of goodwill.
I was told by the Manager that “customer service is our priority.” Based on this experience, that statement is impossible to take seriously.
This experience reinforces every negative stereotype about car dealerships—poor communication, lack of transparency, and saying whatever is necessary to secure a sale, regardless of the truth.
If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, I would strongly advise using another Renault dealership or going through a broker. Renault Vertu Leicester has shown a clear willingness to mislead and a complete lack of care when things go wrong.
