Bought a used Clio from Alex. It was my daughters 17th Birthday present and Alex was very friendly and helpful, paying attention to my daughter, making the process a pleasure and ensuring my daughter had a lovely experience on the day. RENAULT VERTU LEICESTER - 7 Weeks, 17+ Calls, Numerous Emails and Texts, and No Car
RENAULT VERTU LEICESTER - What should have been a straightforward two-hour process to confirm whether our business was eligible for a car on a business lease turned into a seven-week ordeal. This involved over 17 phone calls, countless emails and texts, and ultimately ended with us being told the finance had been declined.
Even more frustrating, following this, we secured approval and ordered a car within a 30-minute call with another finance company.
Throughout this entire period, I was repeatedly told by Vertu —via phone, text and email—that the vehicle had been secured and was on its way to the dealership. This was simply not true. I have since discovered that no documentation had been submitted and no vehicle had been ordered at all.
In other words, I was consistently misled while being given false reassurance that everything was in hand.
What is equally disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. Despite the time wasted, the stress caused, and the clear failings on their part, the dealership did not feel it appropriate to offer even the smallest gesture of goodwill.
I was told by the Manager that “customer service is our priority.” Based on this experience, that statement is impossible to take seriously.
This experience reinforces every negative stereotype about car dealerships—poor communication, lack of transparency, and saying whatever is necessary to secure a sale, regardless of the truth.
If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, I would strongly advise using another Renault dealership or going through a broker. Renault Vertu Leicester has shown a clear willingness to mislead and a complete lack of care when things go wrong.

2 year old Dacia they won’t accept was faulty when they sold it. Had 3 major component failures and not even done 20k. Keep away from Dacia and keep away from Vertu
