I ordered three self-tie bow ties from the excellent and extensive range at Van Buck and was very pleased on first viewing when they arrived. However, one had not been properly checked and had some loose threads and a pulled stitch. I emailed photos of the offending tie but received no response after more than a week.
Having read some of the poor reviews of customer service I braced myself and phoned them. I was pleasantly surprised to have my call answered by a pleasant and helpful lady who arranged for a prompt replacement at no cost to me.
So overall very pleased with the bow ties and with the customer service. Have docked one point for the quality control issue in allowing the defective tie to be sent in the first place.

I ordered 2 ties and pocket squares for ‘the Hubby’ for 2 upcoming weddings, can I just say the quality of the items, packaging and delivery frame were second to none. I highly recommend Vanbuckengland. PS can’t beat a Liberty print material x

Excellent products, with extremely rapid delivery of the order. I cannot fault Van Buck's customer service, and my family have been highly satisfied with the ties and pocket squares purchased for my son's wedding.

We needed a custom made tie to match a waistcoat my husband is wearing for our daughter’s wedding in May. After doing some research online I found Vanbuck England ties. After a few emails back and forth Paul was able to tell me quantities of fabric we needed. We arranged to have the fabric delivered directly to Vanbuck in Essex and they promptly sent us details of the costs and an invoice. Within a couple of days after we settled the invoice, the tie and pocket square were delivered to us. We are delighted with the quality of workmanship of both the tie and the pocket square and the very personable service. Well done Vanbuck,

Good quality and long lasting ties, speedy delivery. Pleased that they are British made products.

Tried to return an item by following their ‘return procedure’ and have been waiting for a response about it for nearly 3 months. Totally unprofessional!

Emailed and no response. Wrong item sent and now sent all back for refund and ignoring emails. Van bick please contact me, I want my money back. Have raised with bank also.

Don’t expect a refund even if you return an item!

ALMOST 10 DAYS HAD ELAPSED AND NO REFUND RECEIVED UNTIL I PHONED THEM ONLY THEN DID THEY ISSUE A REFUND

I am ‘over the moon’ with the whole experience of going through Van Buck to have 4 ties & pocket square sets made for a Wedding (which is not until next April 2025).
It was only by chance that I found VB online when looking into having ties & squares made but so glad I did!!
From my initial enquiry via email (through Contact us) & a couple of phone calls to VB with questions about purchasing our own chosen fabric from Liberty London, how much fabric required, costs of each item & having VB making the items with fabric sent to them, to getting personal phone calls back to ensure all had been received at VB’s & that payment could be made online before items were made.
The process was great from start to finish & going through Van Buck was a very good decision.
Not only are the ties & squares (which were delivered as stated, 2 days after being made!!) beautifully made with Liberty fabric labels on them too, & on receiving delivery, were also packaged really nicely!
My son is so happy that the sets look fantastic with his chosen fabric & also the return of spare fabric will be used to theme other parts of the Wedding.
The ties & squares are priced very fairly (delivery too!) & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VB to anyone wanting ties etc. made to order - although there is s great selection for ready made to purchase online.

Lovely selection of ties, we had a great experience ordering with Van Buck England, thank you so much for providing our ties for our wedding.

My wife and I visited my local tailor and asked for them to order a matching VB tie for a child - TWICE they failed to procure a smaller sized VB tie, despite them knowing full well that this option existed and would have netted them a tidy profit. Instead they ordered a full sized men’s tie, which would have not fitted well on a 7 year old boy.

Running out of time, I decided to go straight to VB and they saved the day.
I first called VB to understand lead time - and the lady who answered the phone was helpful and kind and understood my urgency! Going into a bank holiday with 7 days to get a made to measure tie felt tough to me, but VB assured me they could do it.
After concluding the call i ordered immediately on their website on the Thursday and the made to measure tie was dispatched the same day. It was then delivered to me on Saturday, giving me ample time to be ready and calm before the big day.

Top quality product at reasonable prices. I thoroughly recommend this company that went out of their way to help me with a bespoke last minute order that arrived the following day. Just fantastic!

Just a quick review to say that I had a great customer service experience from Wendy who kindly helped me with a query regarding sellophane tie sleeves. Thank you and bravo Wendy!

Purchased some ties, sent 5 emails and messaged on social media as refund not received and they were not responding. Luckily we brought with Amex and they credited back. Really bad customer service - avoid this company!

I ordered a bunch of different ties for me and my groomsmen for my wedding to try them on and then returned them following their guidelines (which is very unclear on their website) with the idea of then buying multiple of the one I liked. However - having chased and chased I am still almost £500 out of pocket with no sign of a refund of any kind. Shocking service from a company stuck in the 90s with no idea how to run an online business!

Purchased a tie, put in all my details, but when it went to payment details it seems to have moved me to a third party site that had very out of date address information etc. My error, I corrected the out of date payment details but failed to see the 3 year out of date delivery address.
Contacted them within a minute of the confirmation email cancelling order, 24 hours later they emailed me confirming despatch to the address I no longer have access to and is completely different to the registered address of the credit card I used.

Customer service is poor.

I failed to get through to anyone via phone or email which is very disappointing. I placed the order anyway even though it would have been nice to speak to someone beforehand.

I ordered a few pocket squares to see which matches closely with my tie so will most likely need to return the ones i don't need. Needless to say i am worried about the returns process and will be sure to edit my review depending on how that goes in the next few days.

Great ties, I will definitely be purchasing more. Really enjoyed wearing them for work these past few days.
