Huge relief that they scrubbed AI spam. Release times have improved, our tracks aren’t buried under robo-albums anymore, and pitching feels fair again.

Unchained have been fantastic to work with. A great team who are happy to offer help and guidance whenever it is needed.
And most importantly for us, they prioritise actual music/art.
Highly recommend.

The Team at Unchained has helped us loads setting up our project. I felt supported as an artist and all the guidance have felt authentic and music/art driven rather than business driven. Would 100% recommend for anybody looking for a smaller boutique distro experience. the digital music field is changing loads, Unchained is prioritising actual music makers, something very valuable in this day and age.

Absolutely in shock. They took my money and are offering 0 service in return. I'm posting another review in hopes of at least a refund (which the thieves refuse to do) and I'll seek further legal help on this. God knows what further data and rights they steal from creators. Still no help on my issue and they simply refuse to release my work after robbing me of money.

ive been on pro subscirption for about three years , had a couple of singles and albums, i made three roster groups, a hiphop, a post rock and a soul r&b group, and some where AI generated, after there sudden change in poilicies i had all my AI generated album bumped of all stores .. and the physical tracks not made in AI i had trouble releasing them .. they were asking me a IRSC code when i didnt even have one for some tracks, my licenses of features needed a receipt ? it started to be too complicated, and the fact that they put down my albums and singles of the stores without even asking or e mailing me was the top of it all, i deleted my account .. very poor response time aswell and very vague aswell . the funny thing .. they are proposing an AI mastering service, but dont allow artists to post theyre AI creations ?, they do know in the music industry mastering is an art, and the most respected technicians are those able to master prestinly a track ?

Respond times are super slow! Where is my music? How many different tests and forms do we need to fill out already? I've paid for this and I want my music up. I almost recommended unchained music to people. Good thing I waited to test it out first.

High dissatisfaction, I have been using the service for a long time, when I tried to get support I got answers that they couldn't help me, sometimes they didn't even answer for several weeks or months, I thought about buying a plan, but due to my experience I had to look for an alternative because the service didn't work well and couldn't help me.

I want to report that youtube is stealing away all my views on my channel: Nigel Merle...So far I achieved more than 3000 views since I started publishing music but now my views have decreased to 200 views. This is not right.
Could you investigate why the music stores are stealing my views. I am writing to unchained Music here because I sent several emails but it looks like I was blocked or something is not working at their end.

I’m writing to formally dispute the removal of my catalog from stores. This action was taken without prior notice, without my consent, and while I am still actively paying for your distribution services. That is not a review process—it’s a forced takedown, and it breaches the trust and terms of any fair agreement between a platform and its creators.

Your recent policy interpretation regarding AI-generated content appears to be retroactively applied, with no opportunity given for remediation or discussion. I published content consistently through your platform under previously accepted terms. You never flagged these releases before—yet now you’ve removed everything without a single warning.

Furthermore, it is not my legal responsibility to audit or verify training data sources used by publicly accessible AI platforms like Udio or Suno. If your policies demand that level of certification, then it's up to your team to clearly inform creators before distribution—not after the fact.

Unless Unchained Music can reinstate my catalog or offer immediate options to resubmit under fair terms, I am requesting:

A full refund for any and all fees charged related to the removed catalog.

Documentation of which tracks were affected, and on what grounds.

A transparent explanation of what your policies actually mean going forward—and how you intend to treat creators who've already trusted your service.

This cannot be brushed aside with vague links or shifting terms. I expect action—not delay.

Please note that I've already sent this email to Unchained Music and I am still waiting for a reply from Unchained Music. It's been nearly a week.
I believe that Mr Elon Musk is behind all this fraud because while I was doing my music promotion on X he came into contact with me. He blocked my twitter account since I was not very happy with his last moves after winning the elections. I read he owns most social media like youtube...etc

Please take note that Unchained Music still hasn't replied to my emails at nigelmerlin @ gmail.com
And my AI music catalogs went offline on all music platforms (it's been many weeks) but my subscription is still active with unchained music and they blocked my profit, they did not give me no refunds and no opportunity to talk and to explain what is happening. Can someone help me, what is the next step, do I need to sue unchained music in court?, I paid for their services and they are not doing their job

Never Use this site their only you want use for plain and other plan after that take down your music and never give any stream report. I rewrite this because can't reply. No I was told you I use pro and I daw that music and cover made by me not AI. you just want plan. Really? I told before upload and take plan you said yes it's ok. I still have screenshot. and then event no report sale of my earning just warning of remove. shame on you

Go downhill fast. I have the core tier and release music under their label. Randomly their AI model claims my song is ripping off another one, this is just another hassle that unchained music unprofessionalism is creating. Now to use my music with UGCs I have to confirm some things with a Dropbox link? Seems kinda fishy. I gave Unchained music a try and I don’t think I will renew my membership if this kinda of stuff keeps happening.

as you have failed to respond within a timely manner of as it says on your site, 5 business days for core members. You left me with no choice.
I have already made a video warning people and it seems like you're just a bunch of scam artists and cannot be trusted.

edit: you are at the very least a bunch of con artists and take advantage of YOUR OWN artists. its not my fault i get 10 streams spotify are the people that will not promote my music, as well as youtube - odysee - soundcloud [which i have since deleted bc of their ai terms change] and audius

"why have you rejected my reapplication? as a small indie artist this is disappointing, this is by far the best platform i have used and by far the most money i have gotten. i have core because i cannot afford to have a paid plan, i don't make anything as i live with my mother currently. i cannot afford this new plan.

if you're insistent with this i will have to file a complaint and warn people about using your platform because you kick your own small artists off the platform. (like me!) i spend days, even weeks creating my own tracks and think about how to mix and master them. i do this all in my free time.

you owe me 0.38 cents for my time and effort on your platform.
furthermore your claim "-evolve our policies to protect our ecosystem" is simply untrue. if you wanted to protect your ecosystem you can promote your artists. your social media manager natalie clarifies this on her linkedin as a 'digital marketer'

your other claim "accusations without proper engagement" is also untrue. why would you drop artists off the platform rather than helping them.
This does not align with your previously written "Core Values" as stated on your page which reads:

It comes as no surprise that the music industry isn't transparent, and this creates issues for new and developing artists with the 'how' they should progress in their careers. We will default towards transparency for the user and the community whenever possible."
If there is not 'progress' in ones said 'career' then how do you expect for new serious artists to even begin? again this doesn't line up with your values of your company. Yes from the way i am seeing things there is a reason to suspect you might be scamming your artists base. in fact multiple.

you have also not taken my music down. even though i took it to routenote even though your emails reads "If you do not upgrade by June 14th, all of your releases will be removed from platforms shortly thereafter." yet you have not done that automatically. lazy. you owe me [according to your dashboard] 0.54 cents. Since you have forfeited your own artist contract by denying me back into core. The new TOS is you owe me for wasting my time into your platform.
If you do not contact me or hand the 54 cents over, then i count the money as stolen altogether and i will look into legal action against your company.

Horrible distributor !!! The song ive submitted on 28.04.25 are still showing pending review! and it's 15.06.25 now !!! Come on guys ! Don't promise things that you can't keep ! I'm requesting my songs to be deleted from this service that i have no trust anymore even though I'm new in your service ! I'm requesting my songs to be deleted and all the pending ones as well ! I don't want to deal with fraudulent and unprofessional services like this one! I'm quite popular and my fans waited for 2 months for my releases to come live after I have taken them down from my previous distributor! After countless messages and comments from them I'm mad now and I'm writing this review to warn other customers not to use this service !

Truly awful. Horrible to use, but customer service is even worse, they are in it just to mooch money from people. After I paid for a year, they refused to publish my song saying ending of the song wasn’t cut right. I asked for money back as I said I won’t use them anymore, they never replied again. Crooks.

To be honest, I was looking for a platform to post my old music. Recently, under the pretext that people started posting music with AI often, they decided to "recheck" everyone. I received a refusal because of some auditions (I haven’t been creating or promoting anything new lately and I just wanted the music to be on the internet), some unknown and new requirement forced them to remove me from the platform. That is, the very fact that there was a pretext to weed out unscrupulous musicians who made compositions using AI, they could simply come up with many other reasons, for example, like mine - less than 50 plays on Spotify - that's cringe! I didn't need money from them, but mainly that my music was on the Internet. But I'm ready to swear that they will come up with a thousand more reasons that you are not suitable for them. They need profit from you - that's one, secondly - so that you do not spoil their statistics and contracts because of AI compositions (if you make them of course, I for example do not). Horrible attitude, I will go to another distributor. Not only is it hard to get to them, but they will already have you caught under a bunch of made-up excuses and will remove you from their platform. And they will also brazenly say that I can only work with them on a paid basis (as I said, if you are not profitable for them, they will throw you out). I hope that your company will not survive long.

Its Cheep and Bad.
I try to uploud my Songs for a couple Months now!
They Claim "Cover art is copyright" every cover was selfmade. I even changed the cover to another new selfmade one THEY STILL REJECTED. They claim "they reverse searched it" THERE IS LEGIT NOTHING (obv bc i created the Cover duh) . And the Support is sooooo slow. Its been now Months and the wrong Artist is still on my Profile...
Only good thing is the interface thats it.

Ya'll so corny, like am telling you that your review process is too slow you're telling me that I have to re-upload my track and add some details again??? How many days did it take you for you to send my track back and tell me to add details huhhh??? So many days right???

I don't even care about the money I spent am just angry on the time I have wasted so many months bruhhh since april that I subscribed they haven't sent one of my song to any stores despite me cross checking all my songs before uploading.

Unchained Music is a good service
for those who do not want to pay for distribution.
Although recently they had a (and still kind of have)
review delay, delaying my release for over a month now.
In general they are great.
Although I switched my distributor for speed and comfort reasons.
They are a good start for rising artist.
