Receiving and getting started with this watch was actually quite easy. The only issue I’ve had so far was a battery that wouldn’t charge and a sensitivity of the device.

Thank you Unaliwear…

I fell while changing my clothes and hit my head on the corner of my bedroom wall. Immediately Kanega watch was notified that I had fallen and i said the "magic word" and they notified the fire department and my daughter and remained with me on the line while I lay on the floor The fire department was their in minutes. I could not reach my phone so I believe Kanega saved me from a disastrous result.

I needed to contact help and you all were wonderful. HOWEVER my watch alarms consistently when I've not fallen. So when I need help you do so well, but everyday it gets annoying. BUT better to be there when I need you. Thanks

Great experience so far

We just got the watch and customer service seems very good. After my mom had a bad fall and was hospitalized, I researched options for a long time. While Kanega is more expensive, I am impressed with the level of service and thankful I can have peace of mind.

Great customer service

As always, your customer service reps do an outstanding job. The advise given to me today was spot on, easily understood, and worked perfectly. The reason for only 4 stars is that whereas I think UnaliWear is probably the best of such products, there is room for improvement in the quality of the batteries. It's too easy to break a contact pin.

Customer Service is awesome…

I spoke with a gentleman named Joseph about switching Wi-Fi for my mother and some other issues we were having with the battery. Later in the day I went online to fix the Wi-Fi issue and use your chat feature Joseph popped up again. I asked if it was the same guy and he said it was. he was more than helpful. He spent a lot of time making sure everything was working for us every time I get a chance I share about your Customer Service and how happy we are with your product thank you.

Amazing Customer Service!

We bought the Kanega watch for my mom because we knew the technology was simple to understand and my mom does not like technology! And that has been totally true. Simple. Easy to understand. And not stressing her out at all. But what has been even more impressive to me is the AMAZING customer service! We've had a couple of complicated issues to address and the team has been incredibly responsive and solution focused. Getting what needed to get fixed done quickly so that my mom was not without coverage. Can't recommend Kanega highly enough.

Cancellation was a hassle and slow. Cellular did not work outside

I bought this watch for my husband 2 years ago. He wore it sporadically. His issue was mainly that even though it has a wireless connection it did not work outside the house, like at a store. When I got a $750 credit card charge for another year of service I was shocked. Mostly because they sent me occasion emails reminding me that the watch wasn’t being worn. I found out that the only way to cancel was to return the watch at my expense and when they received I would stop being billed for services. It took them almost two months to respond.

We understand how frustrating it must have been to receive a renewal charge, especially when the watch was not being used as expected. While the Kanega Watch is designed to function both inside and outside the home, its performance may be limited in areas with poor cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, which could have impacted your husband's experience. We wish we had known sooner so we could have worked with you to adjust settings or troubleshoot the issue.

Regarding your cancellation experience, we sincerely regret any delay in response. Our cancellation policy, available on our website, does require return of the watch for service to be discontinued, as it ensures the device isn’t active and can no longer trigger emergency monitoring. However, we know that waiting for a resolution is not acceptable, and we’re actively working to improve our response times to avoid situations like this in the future.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback—it helps us get better. Thank you for giving the Kanega Watch a try, and we’re truly sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations this time.

The watch-battery connections are prone to failure. Company will keep charging user even if it is clear the device is not operational. Buyer beware.

We can't find you in our customer list but assume you are a real wearer. If so, we are very sorry for your experience. We don't understand your comment that the watch-battery connection fails as it is both patented and one of the key features of the watch - so you can uniquely wear it 24/7 without having to remove it to charge. We reach out to all wearers periodically when we observe that the watch is not charged and being worn (a unique experience in the industry). If you purchased your watch and service prior to May of 2024, the info during checkout, the receipt you received via email as well as our posted terms and conditions clearly indicate the watch needs to be returned prior to service being canceled. This policy changed for all watch and service purchases as of May, 2024, as per all our updated communications. Regardless of your experience with your watch and our company, we sincerely wish you all the best in finding a medical alert that best meets your needs and gives you the peace of mind you deserve.

Exceptional Experience buying Kanega watch for 95 year old mom

Working with Joseph on the sales team was great! He was wonderful to work with helping place this order. Unaliwear website is packed with easy to understand videos and information, the best website I have seen in this market for medical alert devices.
This Kanega Watch is super special (made in USA) and compared to other companies, Unaliwear is super transparent and a welcome relief. Buy with confidence! Give them a call!

Mixed experience

Things that we liked
1. The watch used the Verizon system which is the only one that works at our house.
2. The home network connection is helpful as a backup.

Things that we did not like:

1. The watch band does not clasp securely. It has fallen off several times and needs to be adjusted frequently.
2. The battery life is barely 24 hrs. They have died in less than 24 hrs on occasion.
3. The batteries have frequently come out of there socket.
4. Two batteries have had to be replaced because the pins loosen up and fall out. At $40 apiece, it would seem to have a flaw in the design or manufacturing that would cause this to be a reoccurring issue.

1. We have an alternative band that might serve you better. It's made of silicone vs. the mesh metal of your current band and it's secured to your wrist via a small magnet vs. the clasp. One of our Customer Success Team members will reach out to discuss this option with you.
2. It appears you are not wearing your Kanega Watch regularly. It is quite likely the internal battery of your watch is not fully charged, causing you to experience the shorter cycles of your external batteries. This is a simple fix and our Customer Success Team member can share that solution with you when they speak to you.
3. The batteries need to be snapped into the battery carries. Once secured, they are locked in until you move them forward to release the locking mechanism of the prongs. It is very rare that we have wearers indicate the batteries are falling out. You may wish to test them when you snap them in to ensure they are locked in.

I have had sevral falls recently culminating ino a broken back. Without your watch I dont know if I would have made it to safety.
