PETERBOROUGH PASSPORT OFFICE - AMAZING

PETERBOROUGH PASSPORT OFFICE. My Wife and I had 1.20pm and 1.40pm 7 days fastback appointments today. We were seen very promptly and the two male staff members at counter 8, especially the lead one, were superb. Charismatic, personable, professional, efficient and a real pleasure to deal with. Quality personnel, such as them, represent the Passport service in an outstanding manner. It is also worth stating that every Staff member was pleasant, helpful and gave customer service at the highest level.

UK Gov!!!

UK Gov!!!! by mistake googled UK Passport and thoght that the top result UK Gov was the correct one.
Wrong and I only realised after filling out the for which required me to pay the chage. As soon as I hade done this I realised that it was a scam site.
II teid to recall the paymeent without sucess.
I aske them to refumd the money etc which resulted in them saying the would retun part of it as there was a handeling charge.They did nothing!!
I am still awaiting this payment.
SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Absolutely Appalling People.

My passport ran out so I sent the information, photos, money, etc for a new one. I sent an email asking if anything else? All I got was utterly useless Bot replies. "Send information. If done, ignore this email". After a few months I got an email saying send extra details in a few days (even a few weeks is doubtful), which is impossible from Spain. I then got an email saying they had cancelled my application. Though they had done nothing, they said they were keeping my money. I tried to start a complaint and like the nasty tyrants they are, they just closed it. They never returned my old passport. I have tried a second application and though they got everything some weeks ago (recorded delivery), I have hear nothing from them. They are Little Britain people who know nothing of "abroad". They ask for copies of utility bills, which we do not get in Spain. The same with bank statements. They ask for photos with codes on, which no one in Spain knows about, so I cannot do it online as there is no other option. These people are all WFH, without the working bit. Daytime TV I think, like 80% of WFH and using "mouse movers" to pretend they are working. Now I am in limbo without an all important passport. I have in effect been made stateless WHICH IS ILLEGAL UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW. How to deal with deadbeats who do not give a damn and people in charge who care even less? They get one star from me because it cannot be less.

Excellent Service

I recently had my expired UK passport renewed through U.K. PASSPORTS and would not hesitate to highly recommend their services to anyone else. They are courteous, professional and very informative of the entire process resulting in an extremely efficient 4 week turnaround. Amazing service

The passports for my wife and myself had around 8 months until they expired but would be 10 years old in a few days time. That meant we couldn’t use them to travel to the EU and possibly other countries as well.

We had heard lots of stories about the lengthy delays in renewing passports especially during the summer months but had little choice. We applied online on 8 July, sent off our existing passports on 10 July and received our new passports on 16 July. We were kept informed of progress by text message and email frequently during this period.

An amazing service and first class communication.

Having to renew my passport from abroad…

Having to renew my passport from abroad is always a worrying subject but I was amazed
My passport was sent from over seas by courier on June 20th and I received my new passport and old passport seperate in only 18 days
Cant thank you enough

Spectacular

I cannot praise the Passport Office highly enough. Having heard lots of horror stories about its inefficiencies, I was expecting the worst when I recently renewed my passport. But they have excelled themselves. Look at this timeline. 21 June: online application, old passport posted off. 25 June: email telling me all was in hand. 28th June: new passport arrives by post. 1st July: old passport arrives.
So.. a brand new passport printed and delivered within seven days. Amazing ! And all for the standard price of about £80.
The Passport Office is an outstanding example of the level of service that all UK government agencies should be offering. Sadly, very few get anywhere near emulating it.

Outstanding

When I realised my passport was expiring I groaned. Being abroad I assumed it would be even more laborious than it was 10 years ago. Well I was wrong. From the day of application, the updates flew in and it was done within a week of receipt. And sent straight back to me. It just feels like the people behind the scenes really care and make sure everything is done quickly and properly, I can honestly say this was a great experience. Thank you to the people who take such care, it's a great privilege to deal with you. Now, if you could share your secret with a few other organisations...

Application not honoured due to passport office mess up of addresses

Applied to be a two passport holder sent all relevant paperwork off thought that my application was going through. I even told the post office passport office that I would be away for six weeks they sent me a letter saying they needed more paperwork to process my application. I did write in my letter that I will be Abroad and they needed to email me but this wasn’t adhered to When I returned six weeks later I saw a letter from the passport office telling me that they needed more paperwork so I printed all the paperwork they wanted off and sent it to him to post to a half weeks later still nothing happened so I phoned up and was found that my application had been denied because they had sent another letter saying that if I hadn’t sent the relevant paperwork by the 20th of April they were cancel my application and they would take my £93 and not refund it I think is totally disgusting I made a complaint. The complaint wasn’t written up properly and I’ve just found out that I have to reapply and Pay over £100 now to go through the whole process again I feel this is totally disgusting and the customer service of the UK passport office has a lot to learn about how they treat their customers because they’re not looking at the complaints and they’ve just made nearly £100 off me. I have made another complaint and hopefully they would read this one because it doesn’t seem that they’re reading the other complaints properly and they will honour a free application so I’m not over £100 out-of-pocket and I can get my second passport be very aware that this will happen I was told 10 days my complaint will be dealt with. I’ve waited over 3 1/2 weeks and get told sorry complaint is not going any further. You need to reapply and pay extra money. Totally disgusting.

Genuinely one of the best customer service experiences

I was astonished at the amazing customer service I received from Christa! Very responsive, very friendly, dealt with all of my questions and provided all the updates I felt I needed. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome (unless I win the £40 refund).

Further, the new passport was delivered very fast l, within 3 weeks. I’m super grateful, thanks! Especially since I have a holiday booked for my birthday and thought I might have to get an emergency travel document… huge relief

Great stuff

Used post office at chesterfield to renew passport they were brilliant, The passport office text and emailed when they received application ,also when it had been reviewed and printed text and emailed when it was sent back ,brilliant service throughout kept me informed also very fast service ,post office to getting new passport back less than 2weeks ,top marks 😀

Changing the requirements for documents

All was going well for my daughter's 1 week fast-track appointment, the updates and online procedure was straight forward and kept you well informed ...that was until the actual day of the appointment!

Before booking the appointment I meticulously checked what documents would need to be provided for the passport renewal. This is due to my daughters long form birth certificate being mis-placed, therefore I knew I would not be able to provide it within the week. Nevertheless the only documents we were told to provide were her current passport and a signed, dated letter from myself (the mother) giving permission for the passport application for my daughter.

My partner took the day off work (self employed) to travel 2 hours to Peterborough with my daughters passport, his passport (just in case) and the signed, dated letter from me.

Soon after the appointment I received an update that the application was on hold as I needed to provide either the birth certificate or a signed, dated letter. I immediately rang my partner to ask why and he advised that they didn't ask for the letter off him, needless to say he turned around and went back into the passport office to give them the letter.

After some issues attaching the letter to the application they advised him that because I didn't write his name specifically in the letter (something that was mentioned absolutely nowhere in the guidance) that it is likely that 'AI' would reject the letter and that we should post in her birth certificate instead.

I cannot express how disappointing this entire experience has been. Time and money wasted despite following all of the guidance! Now I will have the stress and headache of trying to sort this out, by post, something we wanted to avoid completely by paying for the fast track service !

Kept fully informed at every stage of the process. My wife and I received our new passports within a week of online application.
The admistrative system design team at the British Passport Service should be heartily congratulated on their achievement. A model for other similar services.

Outstanding service.

A very pleasant surprise

It's almost customary to criticise public service in the UK (or France/Poland, as the case may be!) but this was truly outstanding. I have bouquets for both the Passport Office and Royal Mail.

The PO website is simplicity itself. Refreshingly, considerable thought has been clearly been devoted to its design, layout and flow. Why, it's so clear that even Groucho Marks could understand it.

I started my online renewal application on 27th February and received my new passport on 5th March. That is outstanding performance, by any yardstick.

Royal Mail's collection service, too, was totally painless. They picked up my old passport and delivered it to the PO within 24 hours, speeding the application.

British Passport Renewal

I recently had to renew my British Passport in Australia , and a very helpful young lady , named Robyn was designated to assist me . She was exceptional kind and professional , and my passport took 8 days to get here , faster than getting an item from the Eastern States of Oz , which can take weeks . Dealing with the passport Office was a pleasant experience .
