Dream Machine lives up to it's name!
I am an IT engineer and have been in the Industry since PCs were a thing. I have used quite a few types of routers and access points over the years, but Ubiquiti's Dream Machine Pro is the best I have ever used. It provides all the functionality a home or business user would ever need at a great price. It monitors for attacks and can automatically block them. They have lots of variety in Access points to fit your need and traffic density. No one size fits all products. If you have a stadium full of people, they have it covered. The support VPN for users and between locations with just a couple clicks. As far as administering the network, it is a breeze. They provide tons of data regarding use and activity. This box is an IT department. I havent seen anything that comes close to the Dream Machine product line.
Very poor range
Very poor range. I have two Unifi acces points installed in order to have full coverage in our 235 m2 house. Connection is often lost and in the office and living room we have no wireless signal. a rangextender to 173 of the price is much better
Beware! You may be coerced
About a year ago I bought a brand new CloudKey Gen2 to manage my network. This company made a software upgrade and remove functionality that was just fine. I contacted their support team and their only solution was to buy another version of the same product to be able to use the functionality and devices that I have installed in my network! This is wrong on so many levels. Very poor customer support and unbelievable that I am being coerced to buy product that I don't need because they have made changes to their software
Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time ! money ! and resources! .Id send it back now if I could but that's even more of a nightmare than setting it up in the first place! Supports worse than a job centre ! take A ticket pls and wel get back to you in a month !
Useless support
Nice equipment, useless support! Wait times are a complete joke for support. RMA requests also take AAAAGGGGEEEESSS - seriously - buy ANYTHING else as for equipment that is by definition mission critical, the complete lack of any interest in support is beyond a joke!
woeful support
As mentioned elsewhere, the hardware (for what i need it to do) was great. but the support is woeful. we had a blackout a couple of weeks ago and my UDMPro, which was plugged into a UPS, lost power. it now won't boot and tells me to go into recovery mode, but the unit refuses to.
Contacted support, yep its a hardware fault. if its still under warranty RMA it
Warranty is 12 months if purchased from a reseller and 24 months if bought from ubiquiti.
I bought it 14 months ago from Amazon, ubiquiti don't have a store in Australia.

They scrapped Unifi Video after we invested thousands in cameras. The beauty of Unifi Video was you could install on your own hardware, which made it easy to virtualise.
As Ubiquiti pulled the plug on Unifi Video we had no choice but to move to Protect that really is in no shape or form enterprise ready.
The software cannot be virtualized and the hardware (in my opinion) is an overpriced piece of junk! We reluctantly bought one as we cannot afford to replace all the cameras we invested in Unifi Video and we opted for the UNVR.
One year in, the unit has FAILED it's bricked, useless.
Now, if this was Unifi Video I would have had it back up and running by now as I'd just re-create a VM and boom very little downtime.
But Unifi Protect, frankly, is taking the p*ss.
Zero Customer Support!
Products are best on the market, but their customer service is the worst. I dare anyone to try to get a hold of a human being for support! I ordered a couple of switches and somehow the address is incorrect. Fedex says the company needs to change to correct the address. I have tried every method I can think of to get a hold of them, but to no avail. Probably going to look at other companies with better support in the future.

I have upped my rating from 1 to 2 stars. I did receive the package, but I still stand by my initial review. Great equipment, but don't expect any support. They did not reach to me to let me know what was going on with my package nor ask to confirm my address. Again, zero customer support!
We need a UK online store. Brexit was 2 years ago!
All products that I've experienced in setting up Wifi and CCTV throughout the house are generally good, and just work as they should.
But, please open a UK online store up FFS! Why are we still buying though Europe?
Waste of time
Waste of time.. Bought Unifi AP AC Pro, the installer won't start, tried many methods from the internet.
I do not recommend it. Go for TP LINK.
Great product and price
Great product and price, nothing in the market can touch it. Not sure on support as it works or dosent, unless your not an IT guy and struggling setting these up. Basically like most IT companies, there not there to teach you the basics. So if anyone is struggling find an IT guy to help diagnose the config issues ...
Amazing products at a great price
Ubiquiti makes some amazing products at a great price.
Lacking much official support but has a great community that has always helped with any questions.
No licensing and cheap costs for projects with some enterprise-class features.
Currently have my home network with 10Gbe switches, POE switches, WIfi AX, and an edge router. Internet provided over a 200m nanostation link.
Also managing 4 PtP networks and 10 sites with full ubnt kit.
Easy to manage and install.

This is the worst company I have worked with. I bought a devices from them and is absolutely no support . Sent emails trying to explain may issues with the equipment and never got a response back. Stay away from this company.
Useless Company
The only company that released a router over a year ago that still has massive issues. Forcing updates that break everything. These jack asses just go through the development in a half assed way. They will release a new update and they won't test it. Eventually it will break the entire system.
Then you a forced to deal with the useless support teams. I have been told by the support team that they are escalating the case to second line support however they never do. Are they waiting for covid to strike, news flash it already did. Are they waiting for christmas, that is way to far and I need a resolution now. The support team has asked me for the logs of my bream machine pro 3 times and I have provided them three times. If I don't hear back from them within the next 48 hours, I will be returning my UDM pro, switch and 4 cameras for a full refund.
Apparently this is a company providing products for business use as well. Imagine your entire network going down for 3 days and these morrons not doing anything about it.
I have used over 30 routers in my life time and this is the worst one yet. Cheap chinese routers perform better that this piece of crap UDM pro.

I am beyond frustrated with Ubiquity product support!!! I am having a problem with my UDM; however, Ubiquiti's support team will not help. They said that I need to get help from the "user community" because I am running a "beta" version. The problem is Ubiquity automatically pushed the beta version to my device, I didn't install it!

I have bought multiple network elements from Ubiquiti and I'm quite happy with the hardware.
The problem with Ubiquiti is that their hardware is so extensive that I think the public can't handle the amount of options and have too many questions which overwhelms their support capabilities.
As a Network Administrator I rarely need to contact their support teams.
That is what has kept me happy with their hardware since other vendors like Cisco, Aerohive, Juniper, ArubaNetworks, Meraki... they will all kill your pockets to buy. And then you also need to pay for licenses.
Ubiquiti has to be one of the worst…
Ubiquiti has to be one of the worst companies to get support for their highly complicated products or talk to anyone about an order of their products.
On the flip side, their products are great but buying on or getting help with them is TERRIBLE!
