My partner and I are not using a TV, or steaming any program that requires a TV license.
TV licensing is constantly harassing us and threatening us with fines and prosecution although we said that we don't need a TV license.
I am finding this unbearable, it is like saying something to someone and them saying I don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth. The world cannot operate like this. Stop harassing and bullying people

Trying to speak to a real person is impossible ,got directed to whatsapp chat which was what i can only describe as a gimmick of no use at all .Stop sending mail to my mums address saying your coming to visit property .She has passed away and property is going through probate .There is no ariel or wifi at the property .I have informed you of the situation and your still constantly sending mail to her address.Disgusting company with no morals ,have some respect and stop sending mail to peoples property when you have been told they are deceased and property is empty .

Ridiculously disorganised and inefficient charging systems.

Why do they scare people? I have anxiety attacks eveytime I see their mail of anything about them and I am not even breaking their law. This should stop!
Find other ways to get money in your lame channel. Who would want to watch your programs anyway.

I don't watch live tv. The last time i watched BBC, it was trying to pretend to be Netflix .

I prefer my 30 year old vhs tapes and internet radio .

I do not want scary letters forcing me to buy a licence which i can't afford and no option on the website to say "I do not want a licence. "

Not watched TV since 2023. Have always had the courtesy to inform them that I do not need a licence. This week received a letter stating “our records show someone has used BBC i Player on a number of occasions over recent weeks”. Not only blatant lies but another example of the intimidating correspondence they send out to people who have no interest in TV. Complained to them, telling them to stop harassing me.

Rang to cancel the tv license and the man on the phone felt like he was threatening me. I told him we do not watch live tv as we work full time and aren’t home but still insisted that an investigation would be done? What for? Absolute shitshow of a company. Taking people’s money and useless nonsense on tv.

These are liars, fraudsters and after your money! I tried to tell them I dont watch live tv or use bbc I player. They still i need a tv licence which Is a complete joke. These have carried on threatening me with enforcement officers and still trying to get money from me. All ur doing by not listening to me is sending enforcement out in which it will cost others to pay them.

So - don’t watch live tv, and no longer need. However these guys make it as hard as possible for you to cancel.
So far I’ve rung them six times, been on hold for between 20 mins and 40 on each occasion.
Appalling state of affairs. And quite telling that this is the only ‘company’ that scores just one star. Nothing else.

Tv licence fee now cost £174.50. Most of the countries even poor and developing countries stopped tv licence system decades ago. Why some very rich and developed countries is not stopping this tv licence fee. Monthly it is coming £15.For hard working poor peoples this £174.50 is a huge money and for peoples who are struggling to feed their families and children and had lost the right to watch TV due to money shortage and also each and every person has to pay this. For poor people its a very huge amount. Then what is doing with this TV Licence money. Millions of money giving as salary to staffs. Some staff gets million and 500k like that salary and also lots of allowance, and also terrible numbers of staff. A huge percentage amount of this money goes to salary itself.
Then what is the use of ordinary hardworking peoples daily watching Bargain hunt, Home under the hammer, Escape to countryside and antiques road trip etc. This programme only helps to some peoples to show their face in TV and show some rich peoples their money power by buying expensive houses and give a huge salary to staffs and other benefits including huge travel expenses. Ordinary people has not any use by watching this. Not getting any knowledge or entertaining.
The very interesting thing is ITV hosting a lot of entertaining world famous programs such as Britain Got Talent , X factor, I'm a celebrity, Ant& Dec Saturday takeaway,Celebrity Big Brother , X factor like this programs only run by getting advertisement money. How well ITV running their channel with only getting advertisement money.

So we are thinking to stop watching BBC and BBC iplayer or any channels and remove the antenna cable from TV. So we have not to pay TV Licence fee. And also we can watch breaking news and other important news bits from main TV broadcasters from all over the world from YouTube freely.
The very sad and frustrating thing about us we stopped watching BBC Channels several years back and still we're paying TV Licence fee yearly unnecessarily.

My address was slightly wrong on my licence. Went online as suggested to AMEND it. Couldn’t amend it without adding a moving date. I’m not moving! Took ages to find a phone number to speak to an actual person. Got through. Unable to find my details despite my providing licence number, name and address and direct debit details. Passed to another agent who also couldn’t find any details for me? Put on hold then advised to call back tomorrow to check if details changed????? Terrible customer service

The service is a bit of a joke, and not that funny.
I called because I have to move temporarily. I went through a series of questions, just to be sent a Whatsapp link to a chatbot, and the call had ended.
I want to speak to a living person, not to text with a chatbot.

I would estimate at least five tree's have been pulled up and destroyed to supply the amount of paper this "company" has sent me in letters over the last decade. Madness

We are not watching any live channels. We don't record any. Keep abusing us like sending letters. It's not acceptable. Terrible job by TV license. Disgusting

Absolutely disgusting service. 79yr lady with dementia, recently widowed. Has received nearly 5yr free TV licence, as has pension credit. Now asked to provide birth certificate and more, before being given free licence again! SHAME ON YOU at TV licencing!

I received a letter from tv licensing stating that my address did not have a licence! When I tried to call about it, I was met with data mining questions and told we need this info to sort your question out.

Why am I getting letters saying my address is not licensed, (I've been paying for 5 years).

If you are telling me your system is wrong you owe me 5 years worth of licensing fee.

They took me to Crown court for not having a licence in a house i didnt live at regardless to the truck load of evidence i had inc a tenants agreement for my landlord at the time! The judge threatened to have my kids taken off me and alsorts, told my partner she wasnt at a cattle market because she raised her hand to ask a question (shed never been in a court room) all for me to owe them sweet F.A !!!!! Why does the bbc have authority in our tv viewing!?!?

The BBC should be ashamed of their TV Licensing set up. I cancelled my DD and called them to declare this officially. I was met with patronising, condescending arrogance. I had to answer lots of ridiculous questions so that I understood what I was allowed to do with my viewing habits under the fascist regime of the TVL support. It took a total of 28 minutes on the phone to do this. How do they have the right? Something should be done about this. It's a total disgrace. Trustpilot .. have a 0 score rating available please. That's what this shambles of a company deserve. Awful.

What a crap website, not user friendly unless you wish to pay.
Wanted to update details regarding my licence and the only option the site gave me was to cancel current licence with a telephone number to do this before I could proceed.

Spoke to a lovely, helpful lady called Ferida (sorry if the spelling is wrong) I explained that I only watch Netflix, Prime, Paramount etc so she went ahead and cancelled my licence and also helped me get a refund. Excellent service. Thank you 😊
