I rented an house from 1 February to 31 January 2024 for upfront basic. I raised an early termination issue in August 2023 but had continued managing the property due to difficult finding a new tenant.

Until 28 November 2023, the Agent emailed me to open the garage and loft for a potential buyer to have a look on 7 December 2023, but the transaction was canceled. Consequently, I proceeded to finalize the tenancy agreement to end on 31 January 2024. In the email, Agent sent to me on 11 December 2003, and also confirmed that my tenancy contract would be terminated on 31 January 2024.

Upon our agreement, the inventory check was conducted on 3 January 2024, during which I was informed of a potential new tenant starting on 12 January 2024. This led me to interpret it as an early termination by the landlord. As a result, I request a partial refund of the rental fee for the period from 12 to 31 January 2024 (i.e. 604 pounds) and it is also agreed by the Agent on that moment with four witnesses at the house. Therefore, I believe the cost of the landlord or the new tenancy agreement should be borne by landlord but not by me.

After I signed the early termination letter and gave back the house's keys on 11 January 2024, I received an email on 16 January 2024 and be informed that I need to bear all the re-letting costs (325 pounds) plus VAT (390 pounds) for the landlord.

What a clever Agent that I never seen!!!
It makes me very disappointed of the value and principles of this company.

Lack of communication when dealing with return tenancy deposit and then tried to charge £150 for cleaning charge for One Bedroom flat despite flat being in the same state as when moved into 6 months earlier

Service from Tudor was brilliant, in particular Kate who handled everything brilliantly, constant communication with progress updates and did a lot of leg work chasing up solicitors etc. Made buying an house very easy!

I was really impressed by the service provided by Matthew, Joanne and Kate is was always a pleasure to speak to them. Even though the move wasn’t as straight forward as I’d hope (through no fault of Tudor at all) they were very reassuring and kind throughout the process. I’d definitely recommend using Tudor and when I do sell in the future I know where to come!
